Hello Since the last update I have not been able to sign in to Government sites using my bank as a sign in partner. I am able to sign in using Google Chrome but I prefer Firefox for my daily browser. I have cleared cache and all data and am still unable to sign in. I am using Version 137.0.1 (64-bit)

Your help will be appreciated.

Hi there! It started yesterday. I keep getting warning messages from Bitdefender that a connection Firefox was trying to establish was blocked. I will include a screenshot of the warning. I searched the link included in the warning and it comes up as a Firefox related link. I had six or seven of these warnings within the last 3 hours of using the computer and am concerned and irritated. Firefox is updated automatically on this computer and I think the last major change would have been the "cookie jar" thing(?). Obviously, the warning only says that the a certificate has expired. It seems to me that Firefox's DoH implementation is not just pointless but actually harmful. It is security theater. Let me explain:

• There is no fine-grained control
• There is no ability for the user to choose what level applies to what networks
• Default Protection provides no protection when there is a canary domain (trivial)
• Increased Protection provides no protection when the default provider fails (trivial)
• Max Protection requires manual intervention when the default provider fails
• Bonus: it's inconvenient or impossible to use on mobile

For DoH to be useful, the user has to invest effort they could better spend setting up a proper system-level solution.

I was very excited to see in the 131.0.3 release notes that it fixed a problem with bill pay. I've been unable to use bill pay at my small local bank since v131. My bank was unable to help me and I couldn't get bill pay to work with v131 even after opening everything up as much as I knew how (cookies, trackers, etc.).

Sadly, v 131.0.3 still has the same behavior of blocking bill pay with a very similar message to the BOA message posted earlier.

My local bank uses a site named: web13.secureinternetbanking.com and in the past, I also needed to exempt cookies from sites named: cwsb40.checkfreeweb.com and cw411.checkfreeweb.com. I've also added these sites to the exceptions list for enhanced tracking without effect.

I found a thread on Mozilla Connect from ipv6_fan that seemed to indicate a solution.

Based on that thread, I checked the following parameters:

The value of network.cookie.cookieBehavior.optInPartitioning is false.

The value of network.cookie.CHIPS.enabled is true.

When I set network.cookie.CHIPS.enabled to false, my billpay popped up as usual.

This seems to indicate (to a novice like me) that there are still issues in 131.0.3 with partitioned cookies.

To make this point, yesterday I spent probably an hour and a 1/2 trying to get to another bank account on Barclays working again because they just "upgraded their web experience". I think I was able to get all the new URLs identified for my exception list for cookies, but blocking cross tracking also creates havoc and I had to turn it off to get the bank site to work. I tried to add sites to the exception list for cross tracking, but firefox still showed it was blocking trackers even though I had added it to the exception list - so I gave up after all that time.

I appreciate the additional security being built into Firefox, but it seems to not play well with banks who seem to be on their own path for increasing security. These two paths don't seem to be converging.

I hope this doesn't sound ungrateful. Thanks for working on this.

Cannot delete cookies nor cache due to a grayish button. First it works fine, after a few hours, buttons are gray.

Also sync seems not to work anymore when this happens.

I know that many users have hated that Firefox asks for the master password from the beginning, but I would like to find an option for it to request it at the user's discretion.

I'm currently using both Firefox Developer Edition and Firefox ESR in portable versions stored on a USB drive for my work outside of the office or home.

The Developer Edition is synced with my Mozilla account and used on both Windows 10 and Linux systems. Conversely, Firefox ESR, which I use on Windows 7 devices, has synchronization disabled. As a result, with Sync turned off and no sensitive data stored in any Firefox installation, Firefox ESR doesn't prompt me for a master password.

Why do I want Firefox to ask for the master password right from the start, even without any sensitive data saved? It's quite simple: sometimes I'm surrounded by non-techy people and I'd like to give the 'impression' (when they see me using Firefox, because most use 'the other browser') that I'm 'protecting something'. It's also a way to 'intimidate' to some extent (if a password isn't entered, they'll think something won't work properly).

It may sound silly, but it's something that 'the other browser' doesn't offer locally.

Also (and I think it's logical), I find it ironic that having other sensitive data saved in Firefox, like enabled cookies, it doesn't ask for the master password, only when there are saved passwords or forms.

My facebook account keeps getting double logins and ip4 logins rather than ip6 addresses. I think my ex-employer has installed a certificate into firefox on my laptop. I know absolutely nothing about certificates and have never knowingly installed one into my firefox web browser. But after looking I seem to have a certificate, is this certificate something that is allowing someone else access to what I view on my browser or allowing access to my cookies? Would users normally have their own firefox user certificate installed that they are unable to remove with a year on the date? I have added 2 screenshots. Problem: Persistent 150 KB of Cached Web Content For several years, I have gone to “Settings” / “Privacy & Security” / “Cookies and Site Data,” clicked the Clear Data…” button, checked both “Cookies and Site Data,” and “Cached Web Content,” and clicked “Clear”, and consistently gotten BOTH “Cookies and Site Data,” and “Cached Web Content” down to “0” zero. Recently, I have been unable to “Cached Web Content” to go below “150 KB of disk space.”

         I have NOTHING listed in “Manage Cookies and Site Data” or “Exceptions -- Cookies and Site Data.”
         I have tried reinstalling, but the problem has persisted.
         On the assumption that this is malware problem, I have continued to use Mozzella VPN, but stopped using the program for browsing, etc.  Should I stop using it altogether until the problem is fixed?
         Can you tell me how to get rid of the last “150 KB” of “Cached Web Content”?
