The file you are supposed to download on page "https://www.support.xerox.com/en-us/content/146849" gives a webpage with trash, where it should open the download window . I know it's Firefox because I tried downloading that file via Opera browser and that succeeded . Dowloading zip files from the Xerox website gave no problem, only DEB files .

So I have this extremely annoying issue. Almost every time I open Firefox on my system, all of my add-ons get disabled. There is no pattern to when it will happen either. Sometimes I can open it 2 or three time without a problem, other times its every single time, and to top it off all of my saved logins randomly disappear too, as well as some of the settings (namely search bar settings). A simple closing and reopening of Firefox restores the login info, but not the settings. I’ve tried making a new profile, didn’t work. Tired uninstalling Firefox and starting clean, still didn’t work. I’ve checked all my settings, and tried deleting the extensions data in the Mozilla folder. Nothing seams to work, and I don’t have a clue why this keeps happening. I’ve been using Firefox since it was still in beta, and have never had this kind of problem before. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Hi. I was suddenly having unexpected problems to log in in a site (https://www.lanacion.com.ar/). So I updated FF but the problem persists. Then, I uninstalled FF, downloaded it again from the repository and installed again, but the problem persists. Then, I downloaded directly rom the Mozilla site, expand it in the desktop and double click the program icon. The program opened and I was able to log into the site I was trying to. Interesting enough, the browser opens a lot faster than when installed. My question is: everywhere on the web the response is "you have to install the program" or "the program is already installed in your distro", which is true in my case, but one day stopped to work properly. BUT I'm not installing it, and it works apparently well... ¿how can it be? Thanks in advance for your reply. -Enrique.

In Settings → Privacy & Security → History → Settings..., I have enabled the automatic clearing of "Site settings" when Firefox closes. However, the clearing of all site settings causes the clearing of all my HTTPS certificate error exceptions (Settings → Privacy & Security → Certificates → View Certificates... → Servers). Is there a way to make some exceptions for the clearing of site settings? I would like the site settings of a few websites to be preserved, while deleting the site settings of all other sites.

Hello those wiser than me, When my Firefox 110 goes inactive by clicking elsewhere, the only change is that selected elements temporarily de-select and the scrollbar thumb turns color to one almost the same as the track, making it nearly invisible. Is there any way to keep it the same (much darker grey) when it is not the active window with the focus? There are a few themes that don't exhibit this behavior, but I could not find a dark one. My search on the subject yields only webpage design talk or obsolete pre v78 add-ons.

I'm on Linux Mint 20.3 Cinnamon with FF's built-in dark system theme. Thanks in advance.

When DNS over HTTPS is not enabled in Firefox and I set network.dnsCacheExpiration to 600 seconds, evidence from about:networking#dns shows that the minimum DNS cache expiration time is indeed 600 seconds. However, when I enable DNS over HTTPS and set network.dnsCacheExpiration to 600 seconds, the network.dnsCacheExpiration setting seems to be ignored. New DNS cache entries are able to have far less than 600 seconds to expiry. Why is network.dnsCacheExpiration ignored when DNS over HTTPS is enabled? Could this be a bug in Firefox?

I am using Firefox on Ubuntu 18.04 (current release 111.0, but the problem has occured over the last two releases). I like to open the individual page from a Youtube playlist so that if I get distracted, I won't lose my place. I do this either when disconnected from the internet or using the "work offline" feature. Previously firefox would show either "Problem loading page" or "Serve not found," but now it keeps trying to load youtube which sucks up time, cpu, and memory.

These are pages that I have never been to before so there should be no record in history, but even so I have tried clearing my history and this did not help. I have tried a bunch of other sites, but Youtube is the only site that I have seen this behavior on. Attached is an example (The google page and the first youtube tab were loaded online). The shown youtube tab (second tab) and a random webpage from google (last tab) show this behavior.

Could you please help me.

I am a consultant and I have, typically, about 2-3 clients ongoing at any one time. These clients, inevitably, each assign me a Microsoft 365 userid. I also have my own personal Microsoft 365 userid.

Unfortunately, given Microsoft's fairly aggressive attempts to "capture" my attention, it has "remembered" each and every one of these accounts, and it sort of tries to log me in all the time with the wrong account into different clients' Office 365 online platforms. So I sometimes find myself sending external mails from the wrong accounts etc. It really is a mess, because then certain O365 "policies" from one account, prevent another account from logging in, for example, creating what I suspect is an almighty spaghetti bunfight of clashing Microsoft properties in my browser.

So I thought I'd assign each client their own container, and using the multi-account container addin, I though this would segregate the accounts, by setting it up automatically to open my different client O365 bookmarks in different colour-coded containers.

Unfortunately this not seem to keep Microsoft in check. It seems to be able to "see" other MS logins across containers, because a few hours ago I experienced a situation where in Client A's container, Microsoft decided that I should be logged out and logged back in with Client B, for some unknown reason, probably because I had logged in as Client B in another container tab. But this doesn't seem to happen all the time. I can't pin down exactly when it happens. Microsoft is basically able to see across my containers, it appears.

Is there any way to keep each Microsoft account where it belongs, namely strictly inside the container tab I have assigned each to? Facebook style? With a nice high unclimbable fence?
