I don't know why, but my previous post was removed - https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1531371 - do you only accept praise here?

to summarise, upon installing the latest release in my new mac, instead of opening the link in a new tab when i right-click on it and press the T key, as was the case on my old mac, it now goes to 'translate this link to x' in the right click menu.

all the boxes in the 'translation settings' are left empty, so why do I still get this useless suggestion? how can I remove it from the menu?

and why is this supposedly 'privacy-focused browser' tracking my IP, which is the only way it could guess the language it suggests I translate my links to?

why are these stupid features not made optional?

Do not have "Block new requests asking to access your location" checked in settings. I have deleted cookies from hulu.com and restarted firefox. Still nothing. Hulu can't help. Location works in Chrome and Edge but I refuse to use those.

when we open firefox, the language comes up in Germany, it whats to know if we want to translate to English but should come up in Englisg. we went into settings and made sure it was set to English

My firefox shows different time zone on calender when i want to sign up for events, while my macbook shows the right time. How can i fix it?

If I display (e.g.) Nepal in Google maps, initially the Nepali names appear beneath the Latin alphabet names, but only for a split second. They are then overwritten with unicode block icons. Some scripts work (e.g. Cyrillic, Chinese, Japanese, Armenian), but most south Asian scripts do this weird "works for a split second" rendering.

I'm running 128.8.0esr (64-bit) on Debian 12.

This problem does NOT occur in Safe Mode!

In Normal mode, I disabled all plugins and extensions, but the rendering still breaks.

Any ideas?

The same page renders properly in Chrome 134.0.6998.88

How to Always have Google Translate open Weblinks in English ?

I have some software programs on my laptop:

• Advanced SystemCare (from: IO bit)
• Smart Defrag 10 (from: IO bit)
• Driver Booster 12 (from: IO bit),

and in the program, to open it's "User Manual", it redirects it to open an online manual, in a web browser, that seems to always open them in: "Sprache auswählen" language format, which seems to be of some German language orgin (upon trying to ID the language format & the form in of itself).

I'm using "Bitdefender VPN". Within Firefox browser, how do I get weblinks to require them to be opened in a browser, & to get them to be on an English version of Google Translate ? / here's the homepage of Google Translate: https://translate.google.com

Do I always need to disable: "Bitdefender VPN", just to have them properly open, without using a VPN of any kind ?

I oringinally thought that "Bitdefender VPN" is behind this, cause it's a VPN after all, & doesn't ID that i'm based in & within the United States of America.

I find this very strange why these weblinks open these pages on Google Translate, in some form of German. GOAL: i just want to find a fix to just get these links to: "auto-open", in English, on the Google Translate domain.

Please let me know if anyone has any idea's on how to fix this (& is there an approved Firefox Extention or Add-On that could be of some help in this area) ?

For example, the word thema, is exclusively capitalized in German, and it shows as error indeed when lowercase, but the capitalized one is not offered in the options. Why is that and how to fix it?

Also, is there a way to autocorrect capitalization for example?

The offline package download speed is too slow and sometimes fails. I hope it can be provided separately, like interface language packs, just as Debian has separate interface language packs.

How can I control which languages are default in the translate tab module thing?

It always comes up with "Translate from Spanish, To English". And I have to manually choose every time, which takes up time.

I wish to have it defaulted as "Dutch -> English". I've already se the setting to "Always offer to translate" and "Always translate dutch", but I still have to do it manually sometimes.

I was previously successfully using the translate selection with the translate dialog automatically detecting the language of the selected text. Then, with that dialog open, I tried changing the from/to language - you know, just messing around - and now it refuses to automatically detect the language. It is now stuck on Tranlate to French. I've checked my settings page and my default language is English. Where is it getting the idea I'm French? Annoying af.

How can I get the automatic language selection to English as it previously was?

NOTE: As I was composing this request, I visited the Amazon store - as that's where I use the feature most - and noticed it's probably the tool itself that's broken recently as it was getting it right all the time before but now it's hit or miss. Again, annoying af especially because I've come to rely on this a lot. Please fix.

Hi, I am curious to know why I can't completely remove the Dutch language in the language settings. When I installed the browser it was automatically set-up to Dutch - a language don't speak - then I was able to add English but some functions like spelling corrections are still in Dutch. I would like to get rid of it. I have the same problem with German on another computer. Thanks!

I have a Mac desktop running Seqouia 15.1.1, and I'm using Firefox, primarily.

Inside LinkedIn, the "see more" link is missing in people's profile sections. I can;t expand any of these sections to read them in full.

They are present in Chrome. They are present on my iPhone.

I've reset everything I can think of but nothing impacts it. Also, this is a fairly new problem. So, something updated that caused this but Idk what.

The attached images give examples.

1st image (FF): Where the "..." is, a "see more" text link should also appear. 2nd image (CH): "See more" is present.

Dlaczego zawsze gdy chcę przetłumaczyć stronę pokazują mi się -tłumaczenie z język polski na język perski? Zawsze muszę wprowadzać, że chcę przetłumaczyć z język angielski na polski na przykład. Nie wiem jak mogę to zmienić by móc szybciej przetłumaczyć konkretną stronę? Skąd zawsze pokazuje się ten język perski. Chcę by zawsze wskazywało mi,że chcę przetłumaczyć np z język angielski na polski i nie potzebuję ustawiać, by wszystkie strony tłumaczyły się na język polski. Może ktoś wie jak usunąć tą podpowiedź tłumaczenia z język polski na język polski i ustawić inną podpowiedź? Dziękuję wraz z pozdrowieniami.
