I made a fresh, clean install of the most current Firefox 76.0.1. When launching it, it force closes after a few seconds.

There is no Crash Helper popup afterwards.

This issue does not occur with Firefox 74 and previous versions. The issue "does" occur when using the most current Firefox as a PortableApp.

I am running Windows 10 Enterprise (1809), build number 17763.

I'd appreciate any help you can give me, because as it stands, I can't update Firefox.

Windows cannot find C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe I have tried all of the solutions I can find on this forum (downloading all of the free antimalware kits and scanning for malware and allowing my firewall to make an exception for FF) but these have not worked. Strangely I also cannot open any MS Office files either. Use Avast.

I used to take print to study contents offline and I almost always use Mozilla as a browser. Recently I noticed that I was unable to print a full page in a simple website. Understandable that firefox team has been busy working upon the print bugs, but the page and the website I am referring to is Purely HTML and CSS; and for some reason firefox cuts out the rest of the pages from print except for the first.(i.e) to say it prints only the top part of the page..

Though I work with Ubuntu I have crosschecked with Win8.1 and TOR version of firefox which had the same shortcoming, with the website I was referring to. However other browsers such as the Safari and Chrome seem to do fine with this regard. Kindly check for yourselves and let me know if I am going wrong somewhere. Also please Avoid recommending any add ons to accomplish the task at hand.

The thing is the website I was referring to is of very simple make and may help the team to shoot the bug if any, with an easier test case such as this.

With love and Thanks

Why is Firefox 78 writing to disk constantly? Even when the browser is idle, the hard drive light on my computer blinks non-stop, and I can hear the constant noise coming from the hard drive. The problem is with the browser because the Processor Explorer (available from Microsoft) shows Firefox as doing the constant disk activity, and hard drive stops making noise when the browser is closed.

I manage a WordPress blog and over the last month or so, some of our Firefox users are reporting a forbidden error.

When they access the blog, a small rectangular pop-up box appears that says forbidden. Once they click on the OK inside the box, it disappears and they are then able to access the blog. It doesn't happen when I access the blog through my Firefox browser, but a handful of members are having this issue.

I've researched your help forums, but can’t seem to locate the issue. Can someone help? Thanks.

Context: after upgrading FF I started using the new version the day after. I always set FF to open with the tabs I was using before exiting. When I opened FF I got a bunch of youtube offline notifications as usual. I didn't get twitter offline notifications but this happens from time to time. Eventually notifications from yt stopped but I only noticed it many hours later when I tried to Push notifications on twitter https://twitter.com/settings/push_notifications I got this as a result: Unsupported browser It looks like your browser doesn’t support push notifications. Important most likely: when I was working during the afternoon FF started lagging I got impatient so I ended the heaviest FF process with Windows Task Manager. I could continue working normally. Trying to find a fix on google I ended up here: about:debugging#/runtime/this-firefox#serviceworkers

The YT service worker always shows:

  • Stopped - Not listening for fetch events

But the twitter service worker shows Stopped (if twitter isn't open yet) and 'running' if it is open. However it always shows no matter if it's running or not: Listening for fetch events

In Debugging - runtime Youtube Service worker I clicked: 'Start' (it showed running instead of stopped)+ 'Push'

Tons of offline yt notifications popped up at the right corner of the screen as usual, I did notice though that they were offline, they weren't happening at that moment. After like a minute again showed the same: * Stopped - Not listening for fetch events

For twitter Service Worker it showed it was running so I clicked 'Push' instead of tons of offline notifications from people I follow and followers I got only one notification pop at the bottom from twitter itself saying: New notification, I clicked it and it took me to twitter notifications where all of them are. I tried pushing notifications on here: https://twitter.com/settings/push_notifications but again: Unsupported browser - It looks like your browser doesn’t support push notifications. The Service Worker keeps saying: Listening for fetch events

Is there anything I can do to make it work all the time as it used to? What about doing a FF restore to some days ago? In the past doing that sorta restore helped but with a very different issue. However could it work? Any other fixes that I should try?

The image attached shows a Service Worker for spotify but I never allowed a notification from it, that I can remember? If I did, I never got any.

I wanted to reset my computer so I saved my profile, reset my machine and then installed Firefox. I copied my 'old' profile to my new profile. Initially, this worked and my browser (with bookmarks, settings, etc) was working as it was before the reset. I restarted my machine and now I get this error when I try to open Firefox:

<toolbarbutton --------------^="" <="" class="close-icon" id="UITourTooltipClose" p=""></toolbarbutton>

In addition, a folder was automatically created on my Desktop called 'Old Firefox Data'.

What should I do next? I still have my 'old' profile info on my USB. Should I uninstall Firefox and start over?

Thanks in advance, LB

When I click "stop it" the message disappears but there is no improvement in the operation of the Facebook page. Is there a way that I can find out just which webpage is causing the problem?

During a recent restart, my Firefox icon turned into a broken icon, and Firefox itself wouldn't start up. It wouldn't respond to any input, for that matter. I also tried refreshing it, as the program suggested before I deinstalled, but that also didn't do anything. After a succesfull first de- and reinstallation, Firefox still didn't open or respond to anything. I went to look in the program files, and found the Firefox files map damaged and, from the looks of it, as broken as the old version I had. I wanted to deinstall again, but this time, I simply couldn't. The system won't let me deinstall as long as I don't "reboot to complete a previous update". Problem is, there is no update. Nothing happens when I reboot, and I am thus effectively stuck in a loop where Firefox is literally unuseable. Does anyone know how to restore or at least work with damaged files so I can delete them and install a fresh version or something?

I have used Firefox as my default in going to my medical portal. Suddenly, I am getting this message: Bad Request Your browser sent a request that this server could not understand. Size of a request header field exceeds server limit.

First started month ago, then it started working again, now it does not at all. My medical provider said it was the fault of Firefox, I cleared cache and cookies, still did not work. Was able to get it on chrome, unfortunately could not download my appointment to my Outlook calendar. Went to Edge, that works fine, does download to my Outlook. I should be happy, but I want my Firefox back, I don't care for Edge.
