Firefox 7.0.1 on Win7 pro 64

Hi FF team & community,

sometimes FF 6/7 shows a VERY strange behaviour: while doing "normal" things on websites (click links, edit text boxes, scrolling, changing tabs) FF starts to ignore my single clicks. The only way to work is using double click instead of single click (i.e. for links, enter a textbos, changing tab, even for open a Firefox menu) for ALL actions!!!!!

A minute ago, the last example was on

while moving a contact to a "circle" - FF changes to only accepting double clicks. No error, no message.

I found this buggy behaviour on many different websites - simples sites and sites with complex functionality, too - in the last weeks since FF6+7 are current versions.

With my other two questions I'm getting the idea, that current FF releases contain more bugs than releases between FF1 to FF3.

When I click the "Restore Previous Session" button on my Firefox home page, nothing happens. It usually restores all of my tabs from the previous session, and now it does nothing.

I made the mistake of accepting an upgrade to Firefox 7; suddenly I experience serious performance issues loading new pages. How do I get back to Firefox 5 or 6 ?

If that is not possible, how do I transfer my Bookmarks list over to Internet Explorer while you guys fix the performance issues ?

I'm using Firefox 7.0.1 Every time I close Foxfire on my Win 7 (64 bit) computer and attempt to restart it, I get the "Firefox is already running" window. I then have to go to Task Manager and end the Firefox.exe process. When I restart Firefox it will do the same thing again when I think I've closed the application.

I use ubuntu 11.10 and i'm used to have close, minimize and maximize on the left side. So i would like to know if it's posible to move these buttons in fullscreen mode to the left.

I still have no idea why did FF team decided to touch keyboard patterns: - It is not design/features/etc. Eyes can adapt to anything, indeed, no problem but - This is in the essence how your fingers use software, that's a physical world. Hands definitely are MUCH more sensitive.

I would like to note that I have all three (IE, Chrome, FF) browsers installed, I used FF last few years, but a few months (or half a year?) ago they made that radical update which touched not eyes/brains, but hands. And that's a mess: - Home and End keys simply are not used now in FF :-/ (and earlier it was used for scrolling page in current tab) - PgDw and PgUp keys are used for going forward/back (!) in your tab - to switch tabs to the right you have to use Ctrl+Tab, and for back Ctrl+Shift+Tab

etc. etc.

To say that I was disappointed is to say nothing. I tried, week or so, to adapt to new tradition of keyboard use in FF, but I miserably failed. Then, ** for some other reason ** I ran Chrome. And since then I am Chrommed.... - PageUp and PageDown keys do work in Chrome for scrolling page - Home and End keys do work in Chrome for scrolling page - Ctrl+PgUp/PgDn - you switch tabs

People like me do NOT switch to Mac because (I work mostly in MS Office) there a bit different (really minor) keyboard shortcuts etc. etc.

I am stuck. Or they are some kind of Linux or whatever guys... And I even don't know how to give them feedback, and how to show them that there MANY people like me - we love FF but your change of keyboard shortcuts touched not brain/eyes, but our hands.

I need version 10 for PC. Where can I find it? There is no ver. 12 plugin available for my protection software, so I can't safely use version 12 yet. Is there a URL for where to download ver 10, like there is for version 3.6?

Ancient computer specs 64 MB ram & 6.4 GB Hard drive 75% free. Wanting to keep it running but can no longer access internet. Running windows 98 (old version) Any firefox browser I can install that will work with windows 98? Any OS I can upgrade the windows 98 that will work with the computer specs? Dialup access only - backup computer with lotsa old documents. Hate to trash it. Me - computer not so literate. Any advice - thanks. Much appreciated

Firefox will not let me into Bt.com. I can in Internet Explorer. Firefox says ....www2.bt.com uses an invalid security certificate. The certificate is not trusted because the issuer certificate has expired..... Which seems unlikly For British Telecom. How do I check if this is safe and not corrupted or How should I override it....My computer date and time clock is correct.....Thanks Tony

I used to be able to organize bookmarks. Now (after allowing several Firefox updates) "unsorted bookmarks" will only show me 1 or 2 bookmarks out of two or three hundred (on computer 1) and 3 out of about 50 (on computer 2). ALSO I went to the defaults/profile folder looking for my bookmarks - nothing there but an empty Chrome folder. So where is my bookmark folder, and the backups?

Turn off these enhancements CLOSE

Turn off does nothing, but CLOSE does close it

I have just upgraded my operating system to Ubuntu 11.04. This upgrade comes with firefox as a default. I had used firefox before and am aware of its use. I tried all the items in your help section with no luck. I can not create a bookmark "Bookmark this page" and nothing in "unsorted Bookmarks". Also nothing shows up on the "bookmarks tool bar"

About 1 week ago my new tabs started opening up in something called searchqu. it looked similar to Google originally so I didn't take much notice. I'm using Firefox 7.01 on Windows Vista. the same thing happened on IE9 but that was easy to reset. i can't find how to reset the default webpage for each tab when using Firfox

The Firefox Help section describes how to clear history, cache, etc. by using the "Clear Recent History" option, but my version of Firefox (7.0.1) does not have that available.

Is there a way to restore this option to my version?

After going through and updating Ubuntu to Ubuntu 11 and with the new Firefox 7.0.1 for Ubuntu canonical 1.0, I was going to import backup of Bookmarks from html only to find that there is no way to Import and Backup of Bookmarks. What's the deal here? I would give Tech info if there were any.

How do I restore backed up book marks when there is no way of doing it?
