In the past few days I have been getting the following popup when I use firefox as my browser: Exc in ev handl: Error: Bad NPObject as private data!

I assume it came from your latest update. I have windows vista with a 64 bit processor, and I am using the latest version of firefox. I checked to see if I was getting the same error message with explorer and I am not. It appears to be some sort of conflict with java script. Can this be corrected?

Just asking before I update because previous updates have broken it, and I am not willing to update if I cant use the Norton Toolbar.

The answer was NO, but in the mean time Norton released a patch.

I would like to switch to the release channel from the beta channel, but the option to switch does not appear in the Help>About window. Is there another way to change channels?

I want to use Google as my search engine but no matter what settings I change the default search engine is always Yahoo.

Also I would like to have the feature back where when I open a new tab it shows frequently used pages that I can click on and open.

I cannot set it to gmail or anything else. Under Tools/Options/Applications, there is no mailto in the list of applications. How do I set one up?

After downloading firefox 5 i thought i saw a message which stated firefox 5 was not compatible with aol toolbar and webroot. It may have stated a certain version of webroot but I did not get it.

When I click on "Bookmarks" the drop down list flashes momentarily and is then not viewable. If I hover the cursor over the list, each bookmark will flash momentarily and then not be viewable. The list is actually still there because when I hover where it should be, the hyperlink is shown in the lower left of the window.

I use CCCleaner at the end of each of my PC sessions. Since updating to FF5, I frequently get a message from CC saying that it cannot clean everything since FF is still running. This is after I've closed FF. I look in Task Manager, Apps and FF is not there. However, in Processes, there is an entry for FF. When I stop it, all is fine. How can I ensure that when I close FF, the process is also stopped?

I accidentally removed Yahoo from the mailto: applications list: options>applications.

I found instructions here: http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/questions/668267 for re-adding it to about:config but it hasn't gone from about:config.

Firefox 5.0 under Windows 7 x64

Some time ago I let Firefox remember my Yahoo email username and password. Last week someone hacked into my Yahoo email account and used my email address list to send out lots of yucky spam to them. I have changed my Yahoo password, but now, just for safety's sake, I want to have that password blank whenever I sign in. How do I toggle the Firefox memory OFF so that it doesn't remember my new Yahoo name and password? I would prefer to log that name and password in myself from now on.

In the past if I used adobe reader 8 or 9 the adobe toolbar would always show in Mozilla when I open a PDF. It seems with adobe 10 the adobe toolbar is not displayed on the top of the page it has a toolbar at the bottom that hides and can be put on the top of the page only when you have it open at that time

When Firefox is first opened I get "The proxy server refusing connection". I go into Tools > Options >Advanced > Network > Settings then select either 'No Proxy', 'Auto-detect', or 'Use system proxy settings' . Once one of these has been selected surfing works great until I stop and re-start Firefox then it is lost 'self-resetting' back to the "Manual proxy configuration" - HTTP Proxy 127.0.0.1. How do I make it maintain the 'No Proxy' between WS shutdowns and startups? Thank you. Jeff

Fast Dial and my Google bar don't work in version 5. This is patently not acceptable to me as I use them every day, all day. I have searched for hours and cannot find a download version for FF4. Please someone help, that's all I need is to get rid of this monstrosity of an update. I DO NOT LIKE IT.

After upgrading to Firefox 5, i've noticed it's displaying the wrong fonts (bigger than they should - they looked ok in Firefox 4.x, Chrome, Opera).

The strange thing is if i start Firefox 5 in Safe Mode, it displays it correctly. I've disabled all the addons, i've cleaned all the Cache, setup the minimum font size... even reinstalled. It's looking ok only in Safe Mode.

What else to do?
