How to stop FF interrumping my sites by preventing other sites from appearing on the screens I browse?

[Dell Inspiron 560 desktop; MS Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 64bit; Windows Live Mail 2012; MS Word Pro 2003; Mozilla Firefox 22.0]

Please someone tell me how to get rid of that strip across the top of my screen which says something like: Firefox has prevented a site to appear (or something to this effect) and at the right upper corner it says "Allow". Please please I don't want to read that and I don't want to have to go to that right upper corner to click on it all the time.

This is extremely annoying and do hope it can be stopped. Thanks ever so very much for any help.  :o) Adela

P.S. I previously sent an appeal for help because I want to also get rid of 2 annoying FF doing (but forgot to enter my data):

1. Stop putting that password-window which I have to bother deleting all the time; and 2. Stop showing those open windows I keep in my taskbar which keep covering the sight of where I work on.

A great many websites are now displaying small boxes with strings of letters or numbers where icons used to be present. Netflix and AOL are my primary examples but there are many others. Many of these boxes appear where there should be some kind of interactive icon (like a forward or back button or a play button on netflix). I have checked the settings for allowing a website to choose it's own font and it is set to allow websites to do that. I have included a screen shot with the area's of concern circled in red.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Hi,

My FF in version 39 for Mac (latest version) does not remember last session tabs and cards. It is set to remember them in preferences but it is not working.

Start with home page or blank page is working. Option to remember 'open with last session tabs and cards' behaves exactly as 'start with home page'. When I enter history menu everything is there and I can force FF to restore last session tabs but it is not what I/we want.

I was trying to restart/shut down and power back - did not help.

Downgrade to 36.0.4 did not help.

Manual update from 36.0.4 to 39 did not help.

In sync menu history is also chosen to be synced.

Any ideas please?

Thank you in advance!

I have seven saved tabs that open each time I start Firefox. But sometimes 2 or three of these saved tabs open as "new tab". But if I close Firefox and immediately reopen it, all the tabs will open as desired. This happens 2 or three times a week, but not always. I am running Firefox on an HP laptop with Windows 7 operating system. Web connection is thru a cable company. Where should I look first for a solution?

An error started occuring yesterday when Google/Youtube disabled Flash completely, everywhere. Even though I'm on old OS (XP) and FF version (39.0.3) I'm able to play 99% of videos even in high quality and at 60 fps (which is another problem I asked about in separate question). Thing is - there's that 1%, usually the newest videos, that I cannot play whith the error message saying that "Your browser does not currently recognize any of the video formats available". Thing is - I can play 99% of videos in HTML5. I just don't get it...

So the new tab page of Firefox, used to have 15 quicklink tiles. However at random last night, it decided to go to 10. I cannot find how to set it back to 15. This is quite annoying as I use these websites often, is there any way to fix or set how many are displayed? As currently they only appear when the zoom setting is set to 80%. Which I cannot read anything at.

Hello, is there any possibility to disable the session restore (using about:config or any other means)? I am not interested at all in saving the previous session, and I would like the browser would not drain any computer resource to make something I consider utterly useless.

Some time ago I used the preference browser.sessionstore.enabled set to false to inhibit this behavior, but I think it works no more.

Thanks in advance.

Firefox 39 gradually uses up an enormous amount memory by accumulating ghost windows (126 at last count). Most of the ghost windows appear to be ad-related sites. Running in safe mode. This is easily reproduced by listening to music on Live365.com (non-VIP, so that you get a constant rotation of ads). Closing the Live365 tab freed all the ghost windows and a lot of memory. But it continues to accumulate every time that site is used.

Is this a Firefox problem, or should I blame the web site?

I've recently tried to switch over from Chrome to Firefox, but one thing that is preventing me from completing the switch is that Google Play Music will not play on Firefox 39.

I'm currently running Windows 10, but I've tested this with 8.1 as well. When trying to load music from a radio station, or playlist, it just times out and says Can't Reach Google Play.

This works fine in Chrome and IE 10, 11. What is even stranger, is I can play music from my library on Google Play Music which is also streamed since I have nothing downloaded.

I've tried every fix I could find across the Internet with no success. This is my last resort before I have to switch back to Chrome.

Please help me keep the freedom and look of Firefox!

Hello, I am on a windows 7 using Firefox (have on this computer for years) and lately it's constantly throwing up unresponsive script dialogue boxes. I press stop script, the spinning wheel of my curser starts and the same dialogue box appears. I can't even navigate away from outlook to another tab while this is happening. I press ignore, nothing. I hit debug, it stops on 47. It is actually driving me nuts.

This is the error that is coming up: Script: https://a248.e.akamai.net/appn…298/adnexus-prod/v/s/22/trk.js:107

Can you please tell me how to resolve this? Thanks.

Thanks,
