The control buttons on the top left of my browser keep disappearing!!!! They leave me with no other way that I know of to close or minimize the page but to quit firefox. That is not the problem unless I just want to look at other work on my screen but not quit firefox altogether but just toggle it up and down when needed. I am extremely frustrated by this!!!! This is not in any way convenient for using the internet and my other applications which do not require a browser to be opened.

I have a little bit of a problem that is not appearing on any other computer. I am running Windows 7 and on one of my computers in the office and it is showing in Mozilla Firefox Adobe Flash Played being updated and outdated at the exact same time. I have the latest flash player installed which is 18.0.0.194, yet it is still listing Adobe Flash Player 17.0.9.18 and is saying it is outdated. I have checked my system along with a few technicians as well and it is very clear that only Flash Player 18.0.0.194 is installed on my system for both Internet Explorer and Firefox. We are at a loss as to what is going on or why this is showing this type of error. I don't even have Adobe Flash 17.0.9.18 installed on the system. With the computer still up in the shop after a week and doing a ton of research in the forums we are all at a loss for what is happening. We have tried uninstalling Firefox and reinstalling and that did not help. We also tried uninstalling Adobe Flash and reinstalling a fresh version of it as well. None of these is resolving the problem. Resetting Firefox as well did not help either. Being that this is only transpiring on one computer I am finding this to be a very odd situation. Is there anyone out there that has a clue what is happening and how to fix this or is truly something that cannot be fixed? There are no viruses on the system. Yes, I tried updating via the update button as well as trying to go directly to the Adobe website itself. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

getting rid of ask.com is not a task I can handle on my own. I've tried. don't have printer or other computers available. I was naively hoping that Mozilla or Firefox could do it for me. Following a long list of complex instructions again will not work for just me and my laptop on our own, so I'm afraid other users can't help!  :-(

I asked this in the Custom Button Add-On forum, and they said there are no Mac users there and to ask here.

I was able to successfully create the button (a link to google advanced search), and I searched and found a 16x16 icon for it. However, the icon is Huge compared to the others, which I have on the same line as the navigation bar, to its left. When I created the button, it was oversized among the other already-there buttons, and when I moved it to the placement point, it was hugher.

1. How do I delete this bad one? 2. If this is 16x16, it looks like the pre-existing icons are 1x1 ! What size icon do I need to use?

I am able to upload only a partial image of the issue because I don't have software to reduce file size of images, and a full screen shot was 1.6 meg.

Hi, how do i sync the Pocket's (is this an "app"? or a Firefox "add-on"?)... saved links' (ie. the links i've saved using Pockets so far)

content (ie. not just the links themselves, but the actual content on these

webpages!) to my OSs? (eg, my Windows XP, my iMac desktop (Yosemite), and

my Android phone v. 4.1.2)

(BTW, This question is verrrrrrrry important to me, and actually the

whole reason i got pocket in the first place!!!)

Can i sync the actual CONTENT of my saved pocket list webpages to

my computers? Not just the links?

If so, can i do this via Firefox? (I don't want to use Chrome, and i only

use Firefox for everything!) (I thought this was an addon offering from

Firefox, but maybe i was mistaken...?)

And, if it is possible, do i need to install Pocket separately on the Firefox

of every OS i have? (I have a Mac, and also an Android phone.)

DO i also need to download anything else, or configure anything else, in

order to get offline access to my saved lists' content?

You see, the reason it's so important to me, is that i often can't get

internet access where i'm at. I use wireless, which is spotty and when the

weather's bad or whatever the signal doesn't come through...

Thanks for your help!

I did the requested "refresh" of Firefox but now have multiple problems.

1) Search Engine changed from Google to Yahoo. This is a royal pain as Firefox does not provide easy solution. Should be basic option. 2) Lost my Home page - fixed that 3) When I minimize Firefox, it dies. Have to restart it every time. 4) Pinned Tabs aren't remembered across sessions 5) Does not show as being active in Windows Taskbar

EXTREMELY frustrated with this "performance refresh".

My window 7 laptop updated to the latest version of firefox, all of a sudden my skin was gone, my homepage changed (easy fix), but all my add-ons where gone. I've just re-downloaded adblock and pop up block etc, but they don't seem to work as I'm seeing now adds absolutley everywhere, where I wasn't even aware they would have existed. It's driving me mad! I can see an "old firefox data" folder has been created on my desktop, but how do I restore the same add-ons I had before from that folder? and will they actually work or they just don't work anymore with the new version of firefox?

I'm signed into sync, but add-ons wasn't ticked, so no luck there. I don't really care about the skins, but please get rid of all these ads!!!!

I have put heaps of them adblock add-ons for facebook, for you tube etc, but I don't know if they clash with each other or they just don't work. Whatever i have before was working a charm. I only had 2 of them and they never showed me any ads. Any idea how to have them back and make them work? Thank you so much

I'm using Firefox version 38.0.5, Windows 7 Since updating the Ctrl + C shortcut doesn't work in the Firefox main window. (I can't copy text from any website using Ctrl + C).

Right click and using copy from the menu works perfectly. Ctrl V, and Ctrl X work fine no problem.

Ctrl C works fine when copying text from the address bar and search bar, I just can't copy anything from anything in the main window of firefox.

I've tried running Firefox in safe mode, I've also reset firefox and run a virus scan, but nothing has fixed the problem.

If anyone had any suggestions, that'd be great. Thanks

After updating to Firefox 38.0.5 all of my saved passwords are missing.

Options > Security > Saved Passwords - results are blank

I have tried:

Restart with Add-Ons Disabled - no change

about:config > signon.importedFromSqlite > Reset, delete logins.json and restart - no change

I can add a new login and password and the logins.json file contains all of the old ones plus the new one but only the new one is visible in Firefox.

Is there anything else I can try?

I've seen a few posts about hao123 but nothing is working. To clarify, I do not have the toolbar/software on my computer (at least according to control panel) and I've uninstalled Tencent's WeChat in case that was causing it. However, I still am getting the hao123 hijack.

I also ran MalwareBytes and RogueKiller and deleted a bunch of the results, but it only resolves it for a little while before the problem comes back.

The only thing I haven't tried is resetting Firefox, but I'd really like to avoid that if possible.

My questions are:

- Is there a way to get rid of it without resetting Firefox?

- If not, is there a way in general?

- If I have to reset Firefox, is there a way to save off my bookmarks/settings?

Thanks!

I have a Canon MG6250 connected via USB. I run Windows 7 with all latest updates and currently the Firefox version is 38.0.5. For quite some time, probably about a year, starting after a new version of Firefox I think , I have trouble printing. (Sorry I can't remember with which version it started happening.) Unless I wait for the printer to ready itself completely, although the print dialogue box appears and I click Print, often (not always) nothing happens. If I try to print again I get a pop-up box saying the print function is not available. If I then close Firefox and try to restart it, it tells me that Firefox is already running; I have to end its process via Task Manager. Often I want to print from several tabs, already loaded with the pages to be printed. Even if I manage to get the first tab to print, somewhere along the line the same thing often happens: before I've printed the last tab's page I get the pop-up box again and I have to end the Firefox process to make it work again. I can usually prevent it from happening if I monitor my computer's CPU activity (via System Mechanic) and make sure all activity has stopped after printing one tab before I try to print the next; this makes printing from Firefox frustratingly slow!

I do not have any printing problems whatsoever from any other application.

Note that fairly recently, due to a system drive failure, I re-installed Windows and all my software. I hoped that a by-product of doing this might fix the Firefox printing problem, but it hasn't.

I'd be most grateful for a solution to this problem.
