My computer crashed and essentially I do not have access to any of my bookmarks. Is there a way to retrieve them? Were they stored anywhere else besides my computer?

My Foxfire 3.6.13 stopped displaying webpages in full HTML and now only displaying them in text. Like for instance, my homepage is set for www.earthlink.com, but instead displaying as a full HTML, Firefox displays as TEXT page. I don't doing anything my Firefox settings to change this; so what do I do to get it back?

I was helping a friend to check the status of the certificate of a website. The certificate was not approved (firefox shows de warning page) in my firefox but it was in his. I assumed it was because I had uninstalled firefox 3.6.13 and reinstalled it about a week ago. So he uninstalled his firefox software and reinstalled it. After that the site could not be viewed without the varning in firefox 3.6.13 at his computer either.

In addition to above I wish to inform you that Babylon addon is not available in my computer so that I may remove the same. I suspect some scam as I want Google as my default web browser & I want that whenever I start Firefox I should see startup page of Firefox and not Babylon search page, Babylon was erroneously downloaded by me which I removed but I am not able to remove Babylon search.

All the bookmarks disappeared from Firefox 3.6.13 I browsed through all the articles in support about this, and tried the backup, but it didn't bring solution. I also checked the backup files in notepad, and all the older ones (except the today's) have the bookmarks, but still the restoration doesn't work! Firefox haven't created an alternative profile, I have only one in \Documents and Settings\[my name]\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\

How do I get rid of two tabs with http://www.airdesks.com/images/BOOKHOLDERjpg.jpg that keep showing up every time I open Firefox?

When I open these games, parts of the game screen do not show up.If I click for full screen in Farmville it all shows up but in Cityville I can't click for full screen because that part of the screen is missing. If I open these games in IE. the whole screen shows up.

All of a sudden I was starting to get popups.. And it doesnt happen on Explorer so I checked my addons on Firefox.. And found one called "Z 4.6.7.3" which I have never heard of or remember installing so I disabled it and no more popups.. have no clue how it got there anyone else come across this addon.. if anyone has any recommendations please let me know...

I made the mistake of downloading the Babylong translation tool, and it took over as default search engine. I have removed the program; removed it from the top righthand search box (google is my preferred and only search engine); removed add-ons/plug-ins (goodness knows what); but when I enter a query in the web-address box, the following comes up http://assist.babylon.com/babylonassista/dnsassist/... comes up. I successfully removed it in IE where google comes up as the search engine.

Okay so the problem is not being able to open new tabs i cant open new tabs by using the file drop down and selecting it, i cant use control t, i cant use the plus button at the end of the tab, and i cant get the right click then select new tab to work. however i can get new tabs by going to a link on a page right clicking and selecting open link in a new tab

Sorry, I'm not a contributor. I was exploring my new support account, and accidentally clicked on the wrong link. I'm a newbie here. Here's my problem:

there's instructions on how to find the folder and folder path for a saved bookmark. At one point the instructions read: "The bookmark's folder will be displayed in the Folder: field.", which is correct, however,it then reads, "Click the down arrow button to see the full folder path." and this is not correct, or my Firefox is not working properly. What happens when I click the down arrow is that the Bookmark Folder Tree appears, and the bookmark gets automatically moved to the Bookmark Toolbar Folder or whichever Folder happened to be already highlighted in the tree. If I'm not careful to cancel out of that small bookmark window the bookmark gets permanently moved. to the highlighted folder. According to your instructions when the down arrow is clicked the part of the folder tree where the folder to which the bookmark in question belongs should show and the containing folder should be highlighted., and this doesn't happen at all. This has been quite frustrating since, unintentionally, many of my bookmarks have become rearranged. Does anyone have a solution for me. Thanks!

Recently switched to using a new laptop; operating system is Windows 7. Using Firefox 3.6.13 as internet browser, "wireless" DNS connection (i.e., not dial-up). With previous PC (and previous version of Firefox) was able to log-on websites (especially my "homepage") automatically when "keep me logged in" button selected, even when Firefox closed and machine shut down then restarted, but am unable to do so now. Problem is on-going and happens at home and when "mobile" (using WLAN connection). Is the problem in Firefox, or is it in Windows 7?
