I use a parts look up program called Microcat , the service is used with either a local database or a server database. I use the local database option , when the application starts it uses my default browser which is firefox. That part of the application works fine, but when I go to print within the application all I get is either blank tab, or a pop up with a print button that doesn't print. All these features work fine in IE 10 or 11 I have read through and followed several troubleshooting tips from the Mozilla website. I can send screen shots if required . Another thing if I try to print within the browser , all I get is a blank page.

Shortcuts are the same - web developers tools are opening now for CTRL+SHIFT+T instead of reopening a closed tab, etc... It's very annoying.

I cannot remove web developer, however I never wanted to install it.

about:config does not work, neither reinstalling Firefox....

Is there any solution other then switching to Chrome??

I am running on a Mac (Lion) with FF 25.0. I typically hide the toolbar because I like to max out my screen space without having to go into full screen mode. So I typically use a custom keyboard command to navigate forward and back during my browser session, but occasionally the keyboard command fails and the page is unresponsive. In the past all I had to do was go up to the History drop down menu and choose "Back" or "Forward". I would also use the "Home" selection to get back to my homepage. But ever since I updated to 25.0 those selection are now gone from the History menu.

Is there any way to restore them? And are they gone for all users (was this a global change) or are one of my add-ons simply not playing nice and causing this problem? TIA!

Whenever I close a tab, after sometime, I want to open it but when I use Ctrl+Shift+T, Nothing happens. And I usually do need those tabs. It doesn't even show restore previous browsing session. Why aren't those features working? Please help!

I've been having a lot of issues with Firefox 25 hard-hanging on OS-X 10.8.5. Firefox 24 worked perfectly with various sites I've had problems with recently. Firefox 25 on Windows works fine with the same sites, so does Google Chrome 30, IE9, IE10, and IE11. The hang is very specific to FF25/OSX. Is this being looked at or reported by anyone else? My co-workers are also hitting this. It seems like FF25/OSX has some sort of deadlock condition when there is heavy dom maniplation occurring via JavaScript along with the usage of Web Fonts (font-face/font family). I have to force-quit it and restart. Safe mode makes no difference. Nor does clearing site information.

If there is any debug I can capture (such as triggering a stack dump) I am more than willing to generate it.

Firefox disabled "Better Surf", I think because of security issues. I restarted Firefox as suggested to complete the procedure. At first the add-on "Better Surf" had the options "disable" and "remove". Then I made the mistake of clicking on "more information" in the "Better Surf" area. It seems this caused the options to disappear.

This having happened, is there any way I can remove "Better Surf"?

I have a new laptop that I'm trying to move my booksmarks etc from my old laptop. I used sync once before on a laptop that I returned to the store because of repair issues. So, I know I've used it before. After I enter my email address, I didn't know my password so I reset it. When I went to use sync, I got the12 digits that were given to me on the new laptop and entered them into my old laptop. Then it would go to the next page and ask me to enter my username and password again and asked me for a recovery key. I have no recovery key. It says for me to go to options then sync and then recovery key. Well, I go to options but there is no selection for sync. It just lists the menu bar and tool bars and add-on bar. Under the Firefox button there is a set up sync option but when I tried that it said my username was already used. I would then select I've already got an account and the same thing would happen again! It asks for the 12 digits again and the cycle starts all over again. Now I've also tried my main Firefox password and it says there's no such password. So I have been sitting here for hours trying to figure this out. The first time I used it I had no problem at all! I put in the 12 characters and it synced. I don't understand why it's not working now. I really need an answer on this.

Are there other heading tags that I need to remove?

Today, I noticed that opening a previously closed tab will not work anymore. This feature is crucial to my work. I've tried uninstalling Firefox and reinstalling and it did not help. Under History, Recently Closed Tabs and Recently Closed Windows are grayed out. I have my history settings set to remember.

I cannot figure out what's wrong and I need my Shift+Ctrl+T back.

I am using Yahoo webmail. It used to work, I'm not sure when it stopped, but in the last week or two. Maybe there was an update? I have emptied downloads, Reset and then Uninstall/re-installed Firefox, and it's the same. I can download documents fine using Safari, so it's not the webmail

I have a recurring issue that's really annoying: my left/right arrow keys (including CTRL+arrow keys) occasionally and randomly fail to work when entering text in certain text boxes on certain websites. This never occurs in "simple" unformatted text boxes (Facebook, search boxes, this very box I'm typing in...), but unpredictably happens in more complex ones (WYSIWYG editors, new youtube comments...).

I have tried disabling all extensions and running Firefox in safe mode and this *seems* to have solved the problem, though I can't be sure and I can't isolate which extension it might be, since the issue happens at random: on the same website it will happen and then not happen.

I'm on Firefox 25.0, though I've had this issue for years with countless versions of Firefox.

The extensions I have installed and enabled:

Adblock plus Bamboo Feed Reader, Dimmer, Download Helper, Drag&Drop Zones, Flagfox, FlashVideo Downloader, Flashblock, Flashgot, Grab and Drag, MouseZoom, Status-4-Evar, Youtube High Definition

I was trying to get flash to run more smoothly in zynga.com. I disable hw accel in both flash and firefox. When that didn't help I tried to re-install them. Flash stopped working completely. I have uninstalled and reinstalled chrome, ie, flash and firefox. I have gotten flash to work in IE and Chrome now but all I get in FIrefox is a white screen and I can't even right click to access the flash control panel. Can someone please help me figure out what theheck happened? I have a windows 7 home premium system with 16 gig ram, 2 terrabyte drive and 1 gig nvidia card (which also now has the latest drivers.)

I installed an add-on that works really well except now on Firefox start-up it tries to load its homepage in a second tab. I'm at work and the website is blocked and I can't go there. No matter what I do short of uninstalling the add-on can I stop the damn annoying tab from popping up.

I've been searching for hours for solutions and have tried all the easy stuff like in the options menu>tabs, >homepage, etc.... and I've checked for a user js file and there is none.

Since this morning Gmail doesn't display icons regarding Change Account, Logout etc. anymore. In IE everything looks fine, so it's not an Google issue. Looking in the Error Console shows a lot of warnings:

Also, on a normal Google search page, logo's and icons (magnifier glass) are missing. Any idea what might be wrong??

no real problems loging into hotmail but when i am inbox mail will not open so i can read it, cannot compose a email.

oh i am useing ubuntu 12.04 LTS i have notice this on other installs of ubuntu products so not sure if this is there problem or a firefox problem. Debian "Whezzy" ice Weaseal works great in my hotmail accts

I work at a facility that uses a company intranet to access our database. The database uses popups extensively for important information. Problem is that Firefox absolutely WILL NOT stop blocking popups no matter what I try. Initially, I added our database server to the exception list. This worked for a while but soon thereafter it resumed blocking important popups. I then completely disabled the popup blocker (options >> content >> unchecked "Block popup windows"). This did not work until I closed and reopened Firefox. About a week later (today!), Firefox again resumed blocking popups. I rechecked my settings to confirm that Firefox still claims to have the popup blocker disabled. At this point I am at a loss as to how to proceed. I have reviewed other similar questions, and to my frustration (and certainly to theirs even more so), the people asking are being repeatedly told to disable the popup blocker even after explaining that they already have. Help would be much appreciated.
