In addition to the question below, another problem is not only are my email responses erased when the browser refreshes, the message itself is no longer available. I have to start from the beginning point in my email list, rather than remain on the once-opened email.

By the way, I have reset and restored my Firefox as a solution, which didn't help. I did this twice, following instructions. The process was tedious and I had to recover quite a bit of information, not to mention a problem with merged bookmarks. I'd like to avoid this solution, at all costs. Here's what I said earlier. Again, thanks for any/all help you can provide.

For the past several weeks, now, I've noticed that my browser "refreshes" the feed more frequently, so frequently, in fact, that any emails, forms, or survey questions that I am answering get wiped clean. This started happening with the latest update. I am unable to locate any setting in my preferences that will stop the constant refreshment (reload? page update?). This is also frustrating when trying to make purchases on line, and as I said, write emails, complete forms, complete surveys, etc.

Thank you in advance for quickly resolving this most frustrating problem? I use a Mac, and am running Mavericks. This problem was present with the previous OS, too. Thanks again!

I was putting up a sales page on my site and I noticed that the redirect on my page was NOT FUNCTIONING with Firefox version 27, so I downloaded Firefox version 25 and the redirect on my sales page was working with Firefox version 25.

Can you look into this redirect problem with Firefox 27 and get back to me (all of us) with a solution?

Here is the URL for my sales page: http://cybermark-solutions.com/4steps1

When you try to leave the page, the page should redirect to another page. It works with Internet Explorer, Chrome and Safari, BUT NOT FIREFOX VERSION 27.

Please fix this redirection problem and get back to be with your solution.

Using Mac OS X 7.5, I updated Firefox when prompted, now Soundcloud widgets say 'data connection failure', direct links to Soundcloud pages don't load but send me to a generic 'something went wrong' page with low-res graphics. Everything else seems to work, including video streams, bandcamp etc.

I have looked at advice here for similar issues - safe restart, clearing cookies and cache don't help. I don't have adblocker or firewall, almost no add-ons, the problem occurred both before and after updating Flash.

Chrome works fine with Soundcloud, so it looks like it is a Firefox issue. Any advice?

Problem with download setting "Always ask me where to save files" in v25.0+?

Since upgrading to v25.0 and then v25.0.1, there seems to be a consistent problem on one of my desktops running Win7 Ultimate x64 with having the download setting in Options toggled to the "ask user" setting -- seems to work fine when a particular subdirectory is specified, but the program hangs (with the OS "waiting" icon displayed) for an indefinite period of time until I use Task Manager to terminate the process or process tree. This sort of behavior did not occur with older FF versions <25.

Before I discovered the problem didn't occur when a subdirectory was specified, I had followed the advice reflected in an online troubleshooting article to sequentially 1) clear the download history and then 2) change the post-download AV check from "true" to "false" in the configuration settings, but neither of those steps enabled success with the user-request toggled and the program would repeatedly hang. Finally I tried the other setting by specification of the root drive "Temp" folder, and discovered that it would work successfully. Changing it back to the user-request setting again causes the program to hang when another attempt to download the same file from either an e-mail attachment or different website is attempted.

Is this a bug of some sort, or is there some other FF setting which might be triggering the dysfunctional effect for this machine (doesn't seem to occur with other machines running FF v25.0.1 with 32-bit OS flavors of XP Pro or Vista Ultimate)? If the former, please let me know if you need further information to correct it for future releases. If not and no other FF setting would likely trigger such an effect, that would imply some sort of external cause but the behavior doesn't occur with IE (I don't/won't use Chrome). FWIW, I use MSE as my primary resident AV in conjunction with Panda Cloud AV running in parallel (and I have had zero issues or problems with any conflict arise in this arrangement for the past 3+ years on any of the machines in my home office).

Anyone know of a Stable earlier version that actually works with Win 8.1?

Also - anyone know if 'FF Reset' is likely to cure this - or just be more frustrating "hoop-jumping"??

Appreciate anyone's real-world insights on this.

Flash has been unresponsive and crashing all day, well over 30 times just today. The problem just started this morning. The error message I get is that the Shockwave plugin is unresponsive or busy. I haven't installed anything new in weeks. I cannot access any website where flash is required without it crashing after a few moments, moreso with videos. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling three times- as stated in the title, both Firefox and Flash are up to date. Mozilla doesn't find any new required updates on the plugin page.

I am unable to click on settings after right clicking on any flash application (if it lets me get that far)- and that just sends it into another hang. Therefore, I am unable to deaccelerate the hardware, which I've seen as a popular solution. Flash also doesn't work on Chrome or IE because it crashes similarly.

These are the last 5 crash reports.

Please, help! I know that flash is the problem, because when it's uninstalled Firefox runs fine. I've uninstalled RealPlayer and any known problems with flash plugins. No matter what I do I'm stuck.

Code for Choppy Scrolling?- STILL NEED HELP/REPLIES

First off, I would advise that anyone thinking of answering this should read this, as it gives one an idea of what I am speaking of: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/976244?esab=a&s=&r=0&as=s

Secondly, while this is related to my question about the earlier problem with choppy/stalling scrolling, it is somewhat of a different question, so I felt that I could start with a clean slate, so to speak.

As a possible solution for my Choppy scrolling problem, this was given to me: "You can also try to use this bookmarklet to see if that help (it makes background images scroll)

javascript:void(document.body.style.backgroundAttachment='scroll');

You can test this by pasting the code in the command line in the Web Console (Firefox/Tools > Web Developer;Ctrl+Shift+K). If it works then you can create a new bookmark and paste the JavaScript code in the location field and issue this bookmark on web pages that cause problems."

However, I have a couple of questions about this: 1) Could anyone show me (via images or however you can), how and where exactly to paste the code? That way I don't mess something up (and knowing my luck with things, I would).

2) Say that updating graphics didn't work, but that bookmarklet does- I use Greasemonkey. Does a Greasemonkey userscript exist that would insert that in for me? If one doesn't, could it be made? Just that it would seem a bit tedious to do that on every page where that is a problem. (Note that this question is hypothetical for now- The Graphics Card update could be what was needed. I'm just trying to cover all bases.)

((Also note that scrolling seems to be working fine for now. I'm simply curious and wanted to cover all bases))

Hi, tried reinstalling firefox from scratch after it had been consistently crashing 2 - 3 times per day for the last week.

After fresh reinstall, it crashed again while watching a flash powered video. I have the latest version of flash installed.

I don't know what else to do. I've never had any version of FF, before 25, crash this many times in a week. Maybe 2 - 3 times in a year!

Anyway, hope you can help me figure this out.

Thanks!

Hello,

I know this issue came up quite a few times but i can't manage to get proper help on this. I'm using Firefox (latest) and i'm getting pretty serious crashes ONLY when navigating . just writing this is a pain since i've crashed twice till here.

so i have a Phenom X4 920 black edition, M4N72-E with latest bios update. and i don't know why, but ONLY when firefox is opened it freezes and i have to reset everything..so i've heard java is responsible, other are saying Net framework, others are saying firefox...so before going back to a 32bit version where i can't use all my RAM but where i don't actually punch my screen, i come here to you to get help..

maybe some of you have good advices maybe on CPU voltage or whatever bugs firefox is creating in conflict with other programs..i'll be grateful.

and so you know, i can run at full power a simulator without crashes but i open firefox and write " ate some cookies" on facebook and there it goes... ^_^ ...so any ideas ?
