I have multiple printers, but I want my B/W laser printer to be the default one, especially for sites that don't give me a print box with options. Currently, some sites send the data to my bubble-jet all-in-one, a printer I prefer NOT to use.

The message "Additional plugins are required to display all the media on this page" occurs on every page of every web site. Click Install and I get message "No suitable plugins were found". V 19.0.2 Windows 8

On this page https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/search-bar-easily-choose-your-search-engine?esab=a&as=aaq is not mentioned how to open the dialogue "manage search engines" if you have not placed the search-bar in Firefox.

I'm looking for an alternative to open it.

I've have checked and its not just this one pdf form, its all pdf forms that behave strange.

It is something that has started to happend recently and it works fine in both IE and Chrome. I can see that the design of the pdf viewer has changed, so I am thinking it could have something to do with the fact, that there has been some sort of update of the pdf viewer in firefox or something??

we can't play any games. it says we need to install additional plug in, for flash player. when we attempt to install, it says we already have the newest version installed. but nothing works. can not find the install anywhere. we had a computer person working on it and she could not figure it out. she tried everything. Do we need to uninstall firefox and reinstall it?

I have Windows XP. I have heard other people have problems with using firefox to print coupons from Coupons.com. Printer is working find for all other sites.

I can open a pdf from a website but when I click on save as it only lets me save it as a 'web page complete'....I cannot therefore save a pdf as a pdf, even though I have adobe reader.

I use yahoo as my homepage. Now Bing is my homepage. I keep changing it back to Yahoo and it keep changing itself back to Bing. How do I stop it doing this? I have deleted Bing in my program list, but that did not help.

The issue I am having is that when the firefox browser is opened, the contents are really-really small and reduced in scale. I do understand that this would be caused by the high resolution of the screen, however, if I open the I.E. browser, everything is at a normal viewing size.

Is there an add on, or some way to make firefox [19] work so that it displays correctly? I really don;t want to have to use I.E. !! I am asking this question on my old computer, so don't go by the operating system this query was submitted on. The computer I am inquiring about is a samsung series 17 chronos touchscreen 15.6 HD screen laptop.

I have tried and tried to get the MSN homepage but it comes up as a blank page. I have no problem with it on Internet Explorer. I can get into my email accounts. I have no problem with Yahoo or My CenturyLink page.

When I try to click on a link to www.bookbub.com/ in Google Reader and feedly, I get the following message: "Firefox prevented this site from opening 1 popup window", with an option box to either:

option 1 - "Block popups from google.com" (or feedly.com) - I want the opposite of this!

option 2 - "Edit popup blocker options"

option 3 - "Show www.bookbub.com/deals"

If I click on option 3 ("Show www.bookbub.com/deals"), this website is still being blocked.

If I choose option 2 (allow popups from google and feedly), this website is still being blocked.

So, in Firefox Options settings, the popup blocker box is now unticked - popups are unblocked - but this website is still being blocked.

This is the only site which is blocked. All links to other websites open correctly from Google Reader and/or Google Search. To bypass this unwanted block and access the website, I have to type the url in the address bar.

I would much prefer to simply open it as I do with all other websites from Google reader or feedly, with a simple click on a link.

Same problem when clicking on a link to this website from Google Search (website blocked by Firefox), yet no such problem when clicking the link within *this* post... ?!

No problem whatsoever opening the website from any link in Chrome.

I noticed that since Firefox 18 on Windows 8 I have observed the safe mode window here: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-firefox-issues-using-safe-mode?esab=a&as=aaq#w_safe-mode-window_2 pop up when Firefox crashes asking me to launch in Safe Mode.

This window is useful, but I would like to turn it off. The circumstances under which I'm using Firefox require that it just loads into the browser window immediately (I'm doing automated browser testing. The reason my browser stopped is that I killed it with my script sending the command 'taskkill /f /im firefox.exe' or 'killall -9 firefox')

The safe mode window doesn't always load for me. I've only noticed it on Windows 8, not on any other platforms, but it does force intervention from me to proceed, which I want to avoid.

Any assistance in turning it off would be appreciated.

Hi. My new computer, running Windows 8, picked up the very annoying "search.nu" malware (also known as "search.qu"). All my browsers are affected. (Yes, I guiltily confess to occasionally using browsers other than FF!) I see various ways suggested, both in the Firefox forum and generally on the web, to rid one's computer of this virus-like parasite. But it seemed sensible to me, before doing what was suggested, to go to Windows control panel and use the "uninstall program" process. So my initial question is: why is it that no one mentions the uninstall process as the logical first step? I hesitate to try "uninstall" when none of the experts seems to be recommending it.

I will greatly appreciate any enlightenment Firefox Forum members can supply.

I'm using Firefox 19.0.After installing Google earth plugin i noticed that it also installed Google update plugin. So after uninstalling Google earth plugin i expected to uninstall the Google update plugin too. But this didn't happen,and there isn't any remove button.only enable /disable button. This is major security risk...unacceptable.

I use Windows7 and Hotmail in Firefox yet cannot default it as my mailto. I have seen gecko etc and it is the java bit that does nothing. Is there anyone that can solve this simply, I used an app before but I cannot find it now. Be precise in your instructions. please.

when i try and buffer a large video (HD youtube) or for even more lag - run a speedtest

the animation for speedtest is in about 3 frames - about 4-6 seconds apart, as for youtube, it buffers about 2 seconds - then firefox hangs for about 12 seconds - when it comes back it's fully buffered

this issue has arose since i got new internet (76mbit download) and it is not my rig as both youtube and speedtest.net run perfectly smooth in chrome (but i don't like chrome or google's customer support)

i have already tried enabling/disabling hardware accelleration and tried a few tweaks - anything else you can suggest? (suggest any tweaks- i'll try anything)

Firefox 19.0 locks up when trying to load Facebook. This started yesterday, March 5 at about 1300 hrs PST. After a long delay, a Warning: Unresponsive Script dialog appears, saying that "A script on this page may be busy or it may have stopped responding". The script listed is https://fbstatic-a.akamaihd.net/rsrc.php/v2/yH/r/LEOX0R6UVT4.js:16. Clicking either Continue or Stop Script has the same effect: the entire Firefox application remains frozen. After several minutes, the same warning box appears again. The only way to escape the situation is to force-close Firefox. The crash reporter never appears.

Facebook loads normally in both Chrome and IE8.

Da ich der englischen Sprache nicht gerade sehr mächtig bin und bis Firefox 18.0.0 stets alle Tabs, Befehle, Dropdowns u.a. auf Deutsch vorhanden waren, ist dies sehr ärgerlich. Ich dachte zunächst, dass es sich nur um einen Fehler dieses speziellen Updates handeln würde, doch mit dem neuesten Update 19.0.0 hat sich an den englischsprachigen Einstellungen nichts geändert.

Wie also kann ich Firefox wieder auf Deutsch umstellen, ohne es komplett neu installieren zu müssen??
