Seit dem 25.12.2025 habe ich meine Lesezeichen und Passwörter, wahrscheinlich nach einem Update oder einer unbeabsichtigten Fehleingabe nicht mehr zur Verfügung. ich möchte meine Firefox-Version wieder auf den Stand vom 24.12.2025 zurücksetzen. Was kann ich tun oder kann man auch telefonisch Kontakt aufnehmen in deutscher Sprache?

I depend heavily in my environmental and other work on Firefox and am grateful for its ability to restore previous tabs when my laptop, not infrequently, stops working abruptly.

Now the much-used bookmarks have disappeared. A search site states promisingly:

"To restore Firefox bookmarks, use the built-in backup feature by going to Menu > Bookmarks > Manage Bookmarks > Import & Backup > Restore, then select a dated backup or a manual file (like a JSON backup) to bring back lost bookmarks..."

But my Firefox's Bookmarks drop-down menu has no Manage Bookmarks option. PLEASE, what must I do?

Elsewhere I managed to find this file which apparently contains recent bookmarks:

"C:\Users\User\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\unk14jlv.default-release-1647366062305\bookmarkbackups\bookmarks-2025-12-26_95_4IdGtYxezJpwuH1UIiT1bRwe1K6bcGO8rv0mqa9rUWU=.jsonlz4"

But attempting to open it with Applications\firefox.exe (default) accomplishes nothing.

I have a local file I wish to view in firefox without starting a HTTP server (it's only docs for a crate I'm building) however Firefox is unable to open the file despite the file existing and having correct permissions. The file was in a separate mount (disk) to where Ffox is installed so I copied to to /tmp/ to remove that as a variable but still no joy..

Just wanted to add my voice to the complaints about further AI being added to firefox. Firefox as a browser is a refuge from the enshittification of the internet as a whole, with it being one of the few non-chromium browser options, please dont join in the effort to force AI on everyone. At the very least it shouldnt take multiple options to disable AI in my browser. But at best I would love to see firefox development focused on performance rather than more AI bullshit that only CEO's want.

I want to use the AI sidebar (https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/ai-chatbot) and context menu to query my own chatbot. How to add my own chatbot(s) there?

Depuis quelques temps, je n'arrive plus à enregistrer les pages internet dans mes favoris. "L'étoile" réagit au passage de la souris mais ne se colore plus en bleu comme avant.

J'ai toujours accès à ma liste déjà enregistrer, je peux les ouvrir mais je ne peux pas supprimer les marque-pages non plus.

Sous Win 10, j'ai bien vérifier que Firefox était bien à jour.

Untill latest update when on a site was link, ex. http://site.site/repository/text.txt i could select the link and from context menu select "open link in new tab/window" or "save link as". Now only "copy link" action is available. Im on Ubuntu 24.04.3 LTS Thanks for any response.

The talk of Firefox considering the addition of more AI features does not inspire any confidence in the security of the browser I've grown to rely on.

I've only started using Firefox as my main browser recently, because I wanted to avoid the AI bloat that other browsers have. If Firefox's current team goes along with forcing more generative AI features, I will certainly move to a new browser.

Why push AI if it threatens people's privacy and enjoyment of the browser, especially since people like me have moved to using Firefox because Google's AI features have threatened our privacy and enjoyment of said browsers? Not having to deal companies reliance on generative AI features is what brought me and many other new users to Firefox. The idea that this could be taken away is not only going to result in much of the current userbase leaving, but also turn away future uses who may get fed up with how gen AI is being used in their current browsers.

I don't know how this happened, But I have two different for Firefox settings under "General heading"- says "default search" start-page and heading "Search" - says Firefox is search. I did not think that could be? how do I resolve this issue? I would like to make Start-page my default search engine in both. It has been very confusing.

when I try to log into my gmail account, it is asking me to verify by log in first to an inactive account that was linked to my gmail account. with Chrome I have no problem log in to my gmail account

I'm getting announcements of a virus threat that purports to come from Mozilla Firefox. Usually one or all three of the attached small windows that say: 1. "Viruses Found. Click here to remove them! via https+++d512ucanaffc739fe48g.cgm-defender.pro" With a Dismiss button. I have run full scans and offline scans with MS Defender, but these warnings still appear. Is this legit? I suspect these are a virus of some sort. Either way, how do I deal with this?
