I keep getting alerts that my computer is infected with viruses and to go to a site called antiplus.co.in to fix the problem... is that legitimate? McAfee does not find any viruses when I perform a scan....

Hi, I have just returned from China. I use a Macbook Pro and am operating Firefox 118.0.2 (64-bit) I now find that when I use Firefox to access websites blocked in China (i.e google, the Guardian) I get a "Did Not Connect: Potential Security Issue" message. I can access everything with a VPN active I also got this for Microsoft Edge but the problem resolved by clearing cookies (didn't work for firefox) How can I fix this

Transferred everything to a new computer (Windows 11). All my bookmarks transferred just fine but the little logos are all gone and every bookmark has only the little "globe" logo. How can I get back all the individual logos? Thanks, Len

When I go to google search on Firefox and search for something in images, every result loads instantly. When I go to duck duck go in firefox, there is randomly huge communication lag time between pressing enter and a result populating (usually more than 30seconds-2min where normally it is instant) and a good majority of the image thumbnail results do not display. It didn't used to do this and I think something screwed something up on my computer. What can cause this?

Things I have tried: Resetting Firefox Deleting and Reinstalling Firefox Deleting all cache/cookies/Mozilla files in %appdata, program files, and other locations and reinstalling.

I prefer to use DDG over Google. Can someone help? Why is it doing this?

Every time firefox has updated this year it prevents me from signing into my Navy federal credit union account. I get the following error message; Access Denied You don't have permission to access "http://signon.navyfederal.org/siteminderagent/forms/mfa.fcc" on this server.

I have had to turn off the ad blockers in the past and delete all the history including sign ins to get it to work again. This update I again went through all of that and also tried turning off every extension, turning off firefox tracking blocker and even reset the network setting to no proxy. Nothing works. Will I have to go back to using the google spyware browser just so I can do my banking? Or can this problem finally be fixed? If firefox worked with NFCU forten years prior without any difficulty I don't know why it cant be fixed.

A strange thing has just occurred in the past two days -- Firefox will no longer drag and drop URLs to form a shortcut on the desktop; I get only the international "can't do that" symbol, the circle with a slash, as I drag.

When I make a shortcut within firefox, then copy it and paste to the desktop, instead of the FF icon, I get the blank sheet, but when I look at the file with Notebook, it shows all the expected content:

I've googled for answers, but found nothing worthwhile. One suggestion was to shift the default browser to something else. I chose Google Chrome. Did no good. The shortcuts remained inactive. I could drag and drop from Chrome to the desktop but the shortcuts were still of a white sheet and inactive.

So, I'm suspecting something in Windows needs to be reset, but what? Can't find anything about where and how url shortcuts are treated in the registry. It's an annoyance. Any help greatly appreciated.

the color layers have shifted during the playing of videos, mainly youtube. This started a couple of months ago. There is a green line on the bottom of the screen and a definite shift in the colors on everything.

I maintain the website for a small dog club and use Wordpress with plug-ins to provide page flipping through pdf files in a members only area of the site. The plug-in is D-flip. I have attached .jpg files made using the Fireshot extension both FF and Chrome browsers. I also saved the page as an .htm format file which when displayed does not appear the same as the original page.

Since the update to version 118.02 FF, the downloads now end up in the folder C:\Users\User\AppData\Local\Temp instead of the 'Downloads' folder as indicated in Settings - General (see attachment)

Did the Mozilla software upgrade to Firefox yesterday, and not I can not access my email. It says "You don't have permission to access "http://www.att.net/" on this server"

I need to know how to stop the tool bar from popping down whenever my mouse hits the top of the screen in fullscreen with hide toolbars selected, no other browser I have used does this so I dont know if it is intentional but if it is please tell me how to make it go away, thank you.

I posted here the other day and no help came my way.

I had all my emails accounts at Google, my xbox account, my facebook and my MS account hacked.

What do they all have in common?

Their log in and password were saved in my Firefox.

The other gmail accounts I have that are not saved were NOT hacked.

Is it just a coincidence?

Can anyone at Mozilla care to respond?

My computer needed to be updated so I click on update without closing any programs because the computer usually does it. At this time I was in the School Library well the update was completed so I open up Firefox usually when i open firefox after a shutdown or some other reason. I can go to Open Application Menu>History>RestorePreviousSession but before I clicked on Restore Previous Session I realize that I need to go to class, so I closed my computer. once in class I open my computer up and I try to restore my previous session but by the time that I tried to restore it my session was deleted and my question is if anyone at FIREFOX can help restore that deleted session because I was working on my research project which is due this week, and in that particular session I had tabs open that I need so i can finish my project. So I reformatted my computer today, but the process allowed me to keep all my personal files. I had made a backup in my appdata for all my passwords and bookmarks like Firefox allows when you're in Manage Passwords or Manage Bookmarks. After the formatting, I sign into my Firefox account, and it Syncs almost immediately. When I go into my appdata, the profile has been overwritten by the new sync, meaning all my passwords and bookmarks are now no longer available. Is there legitimately anything I can do??

I have the same issue as this guy https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1402931#question-reply Exceptions. I have a new Dell pc and my Mozilla browser is 118. I have had this issue from the time that I purchased the new pc and attached it to my old Dell monitor. I've had Dell and Geek Squad involved both before and after I found this guy's fix in the Mozilla faq's. Before finding that I have had the new pc checked, the old and new monitor checked. All turned out fine system wise. So first suggestion from Dell - new cord - HDMI to VGA - didn't help. New monitor. Didn't help. Finally after much purchasing of technology and no changes a Dell tech was on using Edge browser. I realized that the monitor was perfect and told them so. So they tried Chrome and still the monitor text was fine. Firefox - back to blotchy. That's when I did the search in Mozilla faq's and found this other issue and "fix". I talked a Geek Squad tech into changing my display setting to "Extend Display" in Windows. Text totally disappeared from the monitor. So I've run out of options other than to set up everything under Chrome or Edge which I really don't want to do. But I may have to. In the meantime I've proved that I didn't need a new monitor or a new cord.

Hi, I'm looking for a way for everything saved on my firefox account including bookmarks, favorites, history etc.. to be automatically saved/backed up, EXACTLY the same way like Apple has it with iCloud.

If I lose my phone, I can log into icloud and get everything 100% the way it was on my new phone.

If I reset my computer, I want to be able to log into my firefox account and have everything exactly the same.

How to do this? I was told the firefox account sync doesn't back anything up...

I have the problem that every of my most visited sites are loading normal fast except for YouTube.

YouTube needs about 2 to 3 seconds to load the site itself and the thumbnails like "lagging" pictures which are rendering real slow while my other most visited sites like Twitch, Reddit or Twitter are loading in about 1 second or less. (i have installed the "Page Load Time" addon to check that).

I have only installed uBlock and nothing else.
