DIRECTLY after 114.0.1 update, I get a CONSTANT UNENDING PROMPT telling me all about firefox , ON EACH AND EVERY SEARCH, I am here to find out how to remove this intentionally annoying, "thing" from MY PC(of course Mozilla couldn't be bothered to tell us they were installing a continuous advertisement for google, and FORCE installing it as search engine). I want this endless advertisement removed, post haste.

I recently migrated from Chrome to Firefox on my Mac and successfully imported all data, bookmarks etc. However I cannot figure out how to ADD a new bookmark to an existing folder. Every page I read about bookmarking fails to show how this is done. In Chrome its simple since the drop down menu allows the user to view every folder, but in Firefox I don't see how to do this. Furthermore, when I go to Bookmarks>Manage bookmarks I don't see any of my folders..PLEASE show me an EASY way to do this. Thank you

my email works just fine using Safari so I am at a loss.
I have tried running FF (Firefox) in safe mode, ensuring outlook.live.com is an exception to the pop up window blocker, changed default protections on outlook dot com to none from standard.... Turned off ABP, clearing cache and cookies from within FF.
it may be worth mentioning that I can still browse/access other websites while outlook produces this error, and my network settings within FF are set to use default system settings (no proxy).

How can I completely remove the tab bar and regain 3/4 of an inch of screen space. It would be nice if Mozilla would just have a on/off button for it. I've tried creating a folder called Chrome within my Firefox Profile folder. I then created a text file within that folder and named it userChrome.css. I put this string in the text file #tabbrowser-tabs { visibility: collapse !important; } This did not work, does anyone know the best method for getting rid of the annoying tab bar?
Thank you

I've been having a weird issue with my text glitching only in my Firefox browser. Initially I thought it might be my monitor but then I realized the issue only presents itself in my Firefox browser. Literally no other program is affected.
I've done a reset, I've uninstalled and done a clean install, I've deleted all Firefox files and re-downloaded the browser. The issue immediately pops up again.

How can this be allowed to happen? This goes against everything private browsing is supposed to be.
I open a private window' log in to gmail, reddit, amazon, any site, etc; i close private browsing window entirely - removed from taskbar; i reopen private browsing and all my sessions are still signed in.
The fact that this is happening is negligent to the point of criminality. WHAT is the solution and why is this being allowed to occur?

I have a 'site' that is just files on my hard drive.
I need to click an anchor link such as: <a href="file:///dir1/dir2/dir3/dir4">Store Your Files Here</a> and have Firefox open the folder dir4 with the systems file manager. ( In my case the file manager is Nautilus ) ( Ubuntu 20.04 )
I have seen this: http://kb.mozillazine.org/Links_to_local_pages_do_not_work but it does not describe a scenario that uses the file:/// interface.
It also does not provide any information about how the files will be handled.
I can get the folder link to work currently , but it appears with the: 'Index of file///...' in a browser tab.
Obviously you can not use that for anything useful.
The main goal is to open the folder and be able to use the system file manager to include more content for the site without having to navigate to the folder manually. The folders I want to display are buried many levels down without the possibility of having descriptive names. I have ~121 pages/folders in this arrangement , and each one has content for each page. I would like to add a button on each of the 121 pages that will open each of the pages content folder.

I noticed this morning that the radar site of theweathernetwork.com has stopped working on Firefox. I am running the latest Firefox from OpenSuse Tumbleweed. The strange thing is Vivaldi also has the same problem so I suspected it's not a Firefox problem. So I logged into Firefox on my two other Linux distros, Debian and Fedora and Firefox has the same problem on them!!. Strange that Vivaldi suffers the same problem, the radar site never loads in Firefox, and in Vivaldi it sort of loads but runs VERY slowly. I tried restarting Firefox in troubleshoot mode and it got as far as a page saying some browsers don't support the site and suggested I update my browser. It appears the radar site has made some sort of change which two browsers under Linux cannot cope with. Unfortunately the radar site of theweathernetwork.com is the best of all the sites available.

Hello,
I tend to have a fair amount of windows and tabs open but this doesn't seem to have a noticed correlation. The symptoms are that FF will just go catatonic (spinning circle, Not Responding Header). When this happens the hard drive light is on solid. Eventually (10s of seconds to several minutes) FF will return to operation. Any idea of what is happening and how to fix this?

Firefox was working well on HTTP websites until a few days ago, but now HTTPS-Only Mode seems to be permanent. Despite changing settings to 'Don’t enable HTTPS-Only Mode', when HTTP sites are selected I get the same message as for 'HTTPS-Only Mode'. Also, if I select 'Enable HTTPS-Only Mode in all windows' and add exceptions, I get the same result.

Hello Firefox,
When loading a page I work on, I sometimes see something like this:
14:54:44.103 Error in parsing value for ‘margin’. Declaration dropped. instantiate_obj.php (With a yellow-ish triangle with an exclamationmark in front of it)
The warning is clear: somewhere in the html/css a faulty margin-value is used.
But how to find out where, or what causes it?
Is it something inline, an external CSS, something dynamically added by javascript?
What I tried:
1) Clicking on the link on "instantiate_obj.php" just opens a tab in "view-source:" mode.
Not very useful. I don't see any problems on quick inspection, but the page is pretty big. I want something easier than checking everything in the source and the linked CSS.
2) Looking at the timestamp (14:54:44.103) I see it ends in 103. Maybe a linenumber?
Nope, that particular line contains only
.
3) Searching https://developer.mozilla.org didn't shed any light on how to approach this problem.
I can only find out references on how to do it when you see the yellow-ish triangle in inspector, in the second pane (css with that 'filter styles' on top) I already checked my external stylesheet and it came out fine.
Does anybody know how to find out what caused the warning?
I asked also on stackoverflow but didn't get a response, so for reference:
Thanks for your time!
Regards, Erwin

How do I stop Firefox from out of control data clearing? There is a window under Privacy & Security / History / Clear History that opens a window that allows a user, in theory, to choose which components to clear (cookies, cache, etc.) In that window is a pull down menu to specify the time range to clear. A screen shot of that is attached. I do NOT want my cookies cleared unless I say so. I do not want cookies or some of the other components cleared from the last hour, I don't want them cleared from the last two hours or the last four hours or today. (And the "Everything" reference does not make sense syntactically in this setting.) A screen shot of that menu is attached.
It does not matter if I uncheck one or all of those boxes by cookies, cache, etc. When I open the browser the next time, they are checked again -- AND THE MOFO COOKIES HAVE TO BE MANAGED AGAIN, ETC., ETC., ETC.
What have a setting if Firefox is going to arbitrarily clear everything immediately or once and hour or by some criterion it has not revealed to the user -- nor has informed the user exists?
Anyone have any thoughts on a work-around?
Thanks.

Steps: - Type anything into address bar (or navigate to a webpage) - Select any text in address bar - Copy the text (either with Ctrl+C or right-click menu) - Try to paste in any app besides Firefox
Expected behavior: - The copied text will paste
Outcome: - No text is pasted - No new entry is shown in the KDE clipboard
Any link on any webpage that I try to copy also exhibits this behavior. However, if I just select normal text on a webpage and copy it, everything works as intended. Maybe there's an issue with copying things that Firefox labels as "links"?

I have noticed since my upgrade to the current version of Firefox that there seems to be a glitch or two in regards to when I hit clear all history. This normally would clear the list of recently bookmarked sites. However since upgrading to version 114.0.1, this does not occur as it used to, meaning it's taking up memory, as the recently bookmarked sites from the previous session remain even when I shut down the browser for the night when shutting down my laptop. I have also noticed that the browser will still ask me if I want to restore a previous session even after hitting clear history and shutting down the browser. These were never issues in versions prior to 114 so far as I can tell. Can anyone explain what's happening here and how these can be fixed?

Hyatt.com links to websites work on every other browser (Chrome, Brave, Opera, Edge) but hotel websites on Firefox just spin endlessly and use too many resources. They never finish loading. I've turned off ad blockers, DuckDuckGo, and a few other add-ons to see if they're the issue, adjusted multiple other settings (proxy, etc.) and it makes no difference. This is becoming an issue with multiple websites in Firefox in recent weeks.
Fix your browser.

Hello Mozilla Support Team,
Since one of the last updates firefox Download Setting seems not work properly...
Into Settings > Files and Applications > Downlods > Save files to option is ALWAYS on, even when "Aways ask you where to save files" option box is checked. When I open a PDF in view mode with Firefox, it automatically download it to the location described into "Save Files to"..in my case Desktop. It seems that the "Save Files to" option doesn't gray out when "Always ask..." option box is checked.
Do you have any idea why I can't chose just one of the two options?
Thanks for you help...
Alex
