In the recent update to Mozilla, all of my shortcuts disappeared. I had many, and can`t remember them all. Is there any way to restore my shortcuts from what they were a month ago? If not, I will switch to Edge.

I am trying to have a biometric authorization with touch ID on Mac, and it says on the website that the option should pop up when i go to the password settings, but it doesn't, and I don't know how to do it otherwise, or if I should use an extension for example. I get repeated messages that I use an old version despite having downloaded the most recent version. When i try to start Firefox it won't start, I only get a message and the precise wording of the message is" You've launched an older version of Firefox Using an older version of Firefox can corrupt bookmarks and browsing history already saved to an existing Firefox profile. To protect your information, create a new profile for this installation of Firefox." Then I get two choices, either "Exit" or "Create New Profile". If I choose the first, I exit. If I choose the latter and create a new profile then I loose my bookmarks and browsing history. Appreciate any solution you might have

To identify myself I had to scan a qr code on a website using my phone. This used to work in firefox but it doesn't anymore. It still works in edge. I'm using firefox 119.0.1 x64 on windows 11 home 22H2. How can I fix this?

The title describes the problem I'm facing. I don't really use other sites that have videos other than Youtube. But I notice that the videos freeze quite often and audio just continues to play. The videos then unfreeze and skip multiple frames. I've noticed clearing browser cache seems to help but it doesn't help for longer than a 2 min video at best. At worst, it doesn't affect it at all.

Your instructions under "help" say to click on "Firefox" and click on "preferences". When I click on Firefox the menu does NOT have "Preferences" in it. What's up with that?? And how do I clear the cache and cookies?

In the last 2 weeks (that I know of), Mercari will not appear when I go to it. I just get a blank page. I've restarted the computer, I've turned off the Ublock and Ghostery but nothing. Everything else works fine. I am not very computer adept, by the way. I sell things on Mercari, so I kind of need to access it. I'm not even sure I picked the right topic (website breakages)....sorry if I got it wrong.

Archived 2020 query at https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1360922#answer-1465978 asked for time-stamped history list. Instructions in the response say after CMD(on Mac)/Shift/H you will see names of columns above the list. This does not appear - possibly deleted since the answer.

I'm trying to argue with a bank that I made a payment in business hours, and a time stamp on my history record would bolster my argument.

Is the list of columns mentioned available somehow? Can a date/time stamp be added to every history record? (Date is known, but not shown as a date stamp.) Is this info in there, but hidden, and available somehow?

Thanks guys for screwing up my day with your latest update. I used to be able to download a .pdf and opening it in my ,pdf reader. I NEED to do this for tax reconciliation purposes. Now your crappy program has decided to open .pdfs in itself and I cant get a downloaded copy any more. What the hell was the programmer thinking? Yes I have gone to Applications and checked that it is set to my .pdf reader. Please fix this before I get fined by the tax office.

Hello all. I'd like to restore the backspace button function but the previously workable solution — resetting browser. backspace_action to 0 — is not working for me. Any hints as to why that might be the case?

i had to rebuild my laptop computer and set up firefox on it, set up/turned on sync and the browser does NOT match the broswer srttings on the desktop where the sync comes from. bookmarked weblink icons only show up when a new tab is opened and vanish once a website is opened, icons for bookmarked weblinks on the bookmarks bar are generic wireframe globe-like-icons only, the custom firefox colour setup i struggled to create over the course of several weeks does not appear at all, nor does the dark theme. how then do i get this to -really- syc???

I'm trying to configure my router and the instructions tell me to go to https://192.168.1.1. But the security settings will not allow me to get to that (local network) IP address, and ther.is no option to bypass the warning
