Firefox updated today (11/30/23) to version 120. All of the shortcut icons on my start tab disappeared. I've tried to re-enter but they are not accepted. Please help!! I depended on these shortcuts for my work.

when I'm on sites playing games, i.e. face book, I keep getting this across the bottom of my screen:

How can I disable it? I can't take a screen shot because if I place my mouse on it, it skips to another place on my screen.

Menu, tabs, X (for closing program) do not appear at start. I then have to do CTRL ALT Delete to teminate Firefox I have repeatedly re-installed Firefox but then have to reset all my preferences/bookmarks/etc. and the problem re-appears randomly. I just restarted Firefox and THIS TIME it worked! Normal heading: (attached) Top of Screen/Heading when error appears: No "Get Support Mozilla Support - Mozilla Firefox/no Tabs line/no bookmark toolbar/ no - + X in upper right corner" --->have to do a CTRL ALT DEL to terminate the program. This is a new ASUS Vivobook 15 Computer with Windows 11 that I've had only a week.

Is Firefox aware that when authoring e-mail in Microsoft Word, then copying them into the BT e-mail, all the control characters are transferred with it the ASCII text. I have checked with other people, and it is not just my machine. I now have to copy the e-mail into notepad first then copy to email, to just get the ASCII characters in the email.

Firefox tells me to close program because Firefox is already running. When I close Firefox then re-open Firefox: same message. When I check Firefox in Task Manager, there are anywhere from 6 instances of FF running and sometimes up to 24. Something needs fixed.

Since the last FF update (115.5esr, Windows 8.1 Pro) I keep getting the following error message when I try to access one particular website:

The page isn’t redirecting properly An error occurred during a connection to www.doordash.com.

   This problem can sometimes be caused by disabling or refusing to accept cookies.

I have tried virtually all the solutions suggested online. I have cleared my cache, deleted cookies and site data, and I have tried to access the site using Troubleshooting mode, all to no avail. I contacted support for the particular website and they have no difficulty accessing the site with FF.

I can access the site in question with the Chrome browser, so the issue would appear to lie with Mozilla. I use this particular site frequently and would much prefer to continue to access it using it with FF, as I have done for over a year. I just installed Chrome on my Windows 8.1 Pro PC solely for the purposes of accessing this one website.

Help in resolving this issue would be greatly appreciated.

New user here. My web search results dont fill the screen, they always require scrolling down to see the whole page at once (as designed). why are the top 2 bands 3 times as tall as the font in them, they use up valuable space. see snip insert below. i have trouble enough with windows 10 without squinting and all this needless scrolling down looking for the rest of the buttons. I use LastPass and its truly infuriating how big the boxes are and how hard to find the information, particularly the "go" buttons. TYIA Shandy

Hi, Mozilla Relay/mask is connected to an old, defunct email address. How do I change that? The verifications are going to the old address that I can no longer access.

I have been receiving the following error code 'PR_END_OF_FILE_ERROR' on several website on my Firefox browser. Sometime, not all the time, I get the same error message while trying to use YouTube, while other times the site loads but says that I am offline and no internet connection. I have done all of the fixes that they say to use online and nothing seems to work. YouTube will occasionally work but none of the thumbnails will show up. Then there are other site that work fine.

Very sorry. I saw 2 icons on my desktop and deleted one without checking to see if my Bookmarks were in both of them. They weren't. Do you know of any way to retrieve what I deleted, or should I just put them back as I need them? Also, I set up my original Mozilla account 5 years ago, and don't remember how to add a bookmark panel on the left of the screen.

For the last two months since November 2023), log-in to the Wells Fargo online bank site no longer goes past the log-in page. If I use Edge log-in works fine. I use private browsing on Firefox, but I always have. I have Firefox password enabled, but I always decline to use it for online banking when it pops up (and it doesn't matter if I accept it, still no log-in on Firefox).

I don't want to use Edge but Firefox no longer is working on this task for me.

In my Firefox settings I have selected "check for updates but let [me] choose to install them" but Firefox automatically installs updates while I'm using it and immediately requires me to restart the browser. All navigation thereafter returns a page saying I have to restart Firefox to continue.

It's incredibly annoying to have to then sign in to all half dozen or more sites that I was already signed in to. I'm going to have to abandon Firefox if this continues.

Is it a security setting my employer configured? I think I have the same problem at home.

I frequently need to access a Hi-Fi device on my local ethernet network from https://www.skytune.net For example ... http://192.168.1.68/ or http://192.168.1.62/ (The last 2 digits of the IP change from time to time)

Recently, I keep getting unnecessary security alerts - Any idea why? I have use https only disabled.

I could be with skytune's certificate. I have done everything I can to bypass these errors.

The Disable Protection For Now option seems to be unavailable if the latest Firefox.

I've reinstalled my Windows and once I logged into Firefox and synced my data, I got the wrong bookmarks from years ago, most stuff are of my brother. I tried restoring them, but I only got the date of today which is completly empty. My history looks right, so I guess this is the right account. They're really important, what do I do?

Read about using the Project Fission settings in about:config and only needed to change the gfx.webrender.all to True but I don't see the 'F' when hovering over the current tab to prove it's working.

Dubious as to whether this 'built-in' sandbox is as robust as Sandboxie.

I currently have a Windows 7 PC with Firefox version 112.0.2 and normally use the EXE files from Mozilla's FTP site (ftp.mozilla.org/pub/firefox/releases) to upgrade Firefox.

With Mozilla's decision to move Windows 7 users on to the ESR branch of Firefox I was looking for the best way to install the ESR version using EXE/MSI files. In this regard I have the following questions:

1) Is it best to first install the standard Firefox 115.0.3 EXE (last standard Firefox for Windows 7 users) and then the 115.1.0 EXE (first Windows 7 ESR Firefox)?

2) Would doing the above method cause any conflictions?

3) I read a while ago that the ESR version is a separate install that can run in parallel to the standard version, if this is true would it be ok to uninstall the standard version after the ESR install to not leave vulnerable versions on the system?

4) As the latest ESR version is 115.5.0, if the above method is ok. After installing the standard 115.0.3 should I still install 115.1.0 ESR or move straight to 115.5.0 ESR?

5) When moved onto the ESR branch can you jump versions or do the updates have to be installed in order?

I used Firefox Sync when I bought my new computer and it worked perfectly. This time, I had to reset my computer and forgot my password. Using my account associated email, I reset my password and my information was gone.
