Viewing two tabs side-by-side can be very helpful, for example when copying information across. This used to work in older version using the AddOns tiled=tabs/pages. But in FF76 tiled-pages has very limited functionality and does not work for me for any page that requires javascript - so most pages requiring logins are out.

How can I get this very time-saving functionality back?

Hi, I understand that Firefox has already developed a "Snooze Tab" function as part of the old test pilot. I read that experiments are still available for all users, and I wanted to integrate this functionality into my browsing experience. Any guidance on how to do that?

I just deleted my cache / history, and for some reason this also took Foxit Reader out of my printer options. How do I get it back in? I Tried using "Find Printer", but it would not except an .exe as a printer. I first put Foxit in so long ago, I have no memory of how I did it. I print to pdf most of the time when saving a receipt, etc. and would rather use Foxit than ms. Thanks

In my Windows 10 Version of Firefox, when ever I set my HISTORY to 'Never Remember', the option to 'Ask to save logins and passwords for websites' is greyed out.

I do not think this combination is correct, as I want set my Firefox to 'Never' remember History but at the same I do want the option that If I do setup my user-id & Password on a new website, I want Firefox to prompt me to Save or Remember Password.

On the same token, If a password is changed Firefox must prompt that password is updated in Firefox. This will not be prompted if I set my HISTORY to 'Never Remember'.

The Image I am sharing is my current settings, I did not want reset it, as I then have to reload Firefox, re-do a lot of thinks, like Booksmarks etc.

My installed Firefox version is 76.0.1 (64-bit).

If there is work around let me know the solution. Hope to hear soon.

Hello, I'm having a problem with the address bar that is driving me insane and I hope someone here can help me...

I am used to visiting facebook by typing in "fb" in the address bar and then clicking on the first link in google. I know, not the fastest way to reach facebook, but I just got used to it too much...

However, few days ago, firefox started asking me (in a ribbon popup under the toolbar) something along the lines of "Do you want to go to fb instead?" (not 100% sure if this was the exact question) and sometime later I stupidly clicked "Yes". Now whenever I type in address bar "fb" and hit enter, it automatically goes to http://fb/, which of course is a bad link and I only get to a page of my ISP??.

What is going on? how do I delete this visit link? I spent whole day searching on google and trying various accepted answers that suggest editing userChrome.css or toggling some settings in about:settings. None of these solutions work for me. Farthest I got was with editing the .css so that the visit link is hidden, but in reality the link is still there and when I hit enter it still takes me to the http://fb/ site.

Thank you and cheers!

I can't seem to figure out how to have the desktop shortcut for Firefox open a new window even when I have a window already open. As it is, when I click on the shortcut when I have a Firefox window already open, it simply opens a new tab. I do want to keep links opening in new tabs, I just want to be able to open a new window with the shortcut. Is there a way of doing this?

I'm working with Windows 10 Home on a Lenovo laptop.

I've been editing userContent.css and userChrome.css for the last couple days and I've got a lot of stuff working. I can't however figure out how to change the logo on about:privatebrowsing to be a custom image. Here is my current code:

/*** PRIVATE BROWSING ***/

@-moz-document url(about:privatebrowsing) {

/* Changes the logo on the home screen*/
.logo {
  background: url("Firefox Halo with Paw.png") no-repeat center center !important;
}

.logo-and-wordmark {
  align-items: center !important;
  display: flex !important;
  justify-content: center !important;
  margin-bottom: 49px !important;
}

/* Changes the home screen color */
html.private {
    --in-content-page-background: #261010 !important;}
}

I've tried using a relative path to the image for the non-private browsing section, but since private browsing is a protected area, I can't load in the image from a link.

I'm a paid subscriber of ActiveInbox and had been using the Firefox plugin. Unfortunately it has been out of commission for over a year. On their support forums they've commented that after a substantial rewrite of the plugin, things got bogged down within Mozilla's review process. It has been stalled ever since. I just asked for a status update on that thread and was told "there is no change in the way Firefox process updates" and nothing is happening right now. As a paid subscriber, I'm just trying to get something more definitive as to the status of their plugin as I need to decide whether or not to continue to pay for the service. I greatly appreciate any information.

After years of Chrome, I'm giving up. I'm going back to Firefox but I see that in the latest version the tabs across the top prevent me from moving my window around (unless I go to the far upper right or left corner of the browser). WHY? I have a lot of tabs open, and I need to easily move the browser window around. I don't understand developing a browser that prevents it.

Please go back to letting us move the browser around more readily.

Hey thanks! Ivan

Recently, when a popup window appears, the toolbar doesn't have buttons for any of my addons.

In about:config, I'd intentionally set dom.disable_window_open_feature.toolbar to true (following the solution provided in: question 1206512).

Previously, this was successful in ensuring that popup windows got the full toolbar, but now it has stopped working.

I'm not sure exactly which release this started with.

Steps to reproduce:

1) Set dom.disable_window_open_feature.toolbar to true.

2) Visit https://jeffersonscher.com/res/popit.html and follow the third link.

3) The window that pops up has no toolbar icons for the installed extensions.
