My Bookmarks (> 100) suddenly became corrupted yesterday while I was browsing. They don't go to anything that they are supposed to. There is no backup profile listed to recover. What do i do short of manually typing in all those bookmarks? Windows 11, No edge but I can use Chrome

I have webpage (Home Assistant instance) on my local network on which I would like to use microphone (for Assistant functionality). Page is completely local, i.e. not visible from Internet. My issue is I can't force Firefox to allow microphone access on this page. I've tried messing with media.devices.insecure.enabled config, but it didn't help. Is there any way to add such page to some whitelist to allow microphone access? From what I gathered Chromium-based browser provides "--unsafely-treat-insecure-origin-as-secure=..." option but I didn't find anything similar for Firefox. I know I could expose my server to outside network and get SSL certificate (from Lets Encrypt) to make it work, but exposing server to Internet just to get local microphone access somehow doesn't feel like a more secure solution. I could probably also issue self-singed certificate but dealing with that also seems at least annoying.

Hello, For about two or three days now, when I launch Firefox and try to open any website, it takes maybe one minute to load the page, then the navigation is OK on every website.

It only happens when I launch Firefox for the first time of my session. If I close it then relaunch it, it's still very swift.

I tried clear cache and remove cookies, just lost my logins lol but didn't work. I also tried with no extensions, nothing changed. Lastly I tried to set "network.captive-portal-service.enabled" to "false" in "about:config" but it didn't change anything neither.

So before I try anything else that could erase something on my profile, I'd rather ask here for some help :)

PS: running FF 153.0.4 on Debian Trixie with Mozilla repos. Only have two extensions: µblockOrigin and NoScript.

For whatever reason when on the front page of YouTube, this magenta border will flash on and off around the top header as well as the button elements, I have no idea if this is Firefox or yt, but I've tried everything, on YouTube, I've tried fixing it in troubleshooting, code, accessibility, restarting browser and computer, randomly removing extensions. Nothing is stopping it. It briefly tried doing it on a different site but stopped on it's own, it's only effecting YouTube and Firefox

You can block types of contact you follow on the tab content page but you cannot block specific sources of that content. For example, I don't want to see any content from NBC, so how can I block that source?

I've tried several times with different updates to use the AI-enhanced tab groups, and it has never given me actual useful suggestions of group names. It always shows me the most generic of names and chooses almost randomly what tabs to group. This is a thing that AI should be good for, but it looks like it's unaware of what is the content of my opened tabs.

Is this feature improving or I can disable it and stop it from consuming my CPU?

I am trying to sync my Firefox from my old laptop (Windows 10) to a new laptop (Windows 11) Mozilla sends verification code to my email, but my email is so slow that by the time this code arrives it already expired. a) Can verification code be sent to my phone? b) if not, how can I increase the time allowed for imputing the verification code to wait until I receive the code?

I'm not a tech savvy user. Although I am using a personal network could Mozilla be interfering with the link of my Linux computer to the HP printer? Any suggestions on how to remedy this?

Recently I had to install a new windows, and I signed in to my Firefox account and found all the data from the previous windows including the open tabs, I could find them from "Tabs from other devices".

But now can't find them any more, although that device name is still there in my account page, under " connected services", please advise.

In the past weeks Mozilla VPN is not working in Italy. As of today, I cannot connect to any of Mozilla VPN servers. Everything fails, ping is stuck. I am connecting via Vodafone Italy as my ISP.

Title says it all, "auto resize pictures using CTRL - + does not work". Generally speaking, the size of pictures simply WILL NOT reduce in size to view its entirety. Even when the scroll-bars are used the picture is still to wide. I have searched and asked for any setting in about_config, NOTHING! I truly expected something. The ONLY STUPID WAY to view said oversize picture is Download it then view. Isn't that a HACKERS DREAM??? YES I HAVE tried looking in SETTINGS and searched for months, found nothing that actually works. So now I have to use that 4-LETTER word... HELP!

I would like to know whether this is a normal process that happens when using firefox browser or has my version of the app been compromised? Or should I allow this to be accessed?

Hi, I'm having this problem on 2 PCs and I'm not sure what in the world is going on. It's not only this browser but I'm trying to get Firefox sorted.

When on sites like Walmart or Costco I'll be scrolling down, click on something, hit 'back'...and then it won't return me to where I left off.

I'm really at wits end. I don't know if I have viruses on both causing aberrant behavior.

If the internet were in it's infancy last century, this would be understandable...or again maybe I have two compromised machines. I'm on the Malwarebytes forum doing all kinds of things to no avail. Defender and Malwarebytes don't find anything.

HI All Recently purchased a laptop and want to have FF sync with my desk top. I am signed in to both devices with the same account and have checked all settings on both and they are identical. Why are they not syncing?

For the past few weeks, I have been having problems playing certain Facebook videos. It seems to only happen when I try to play a video that was recorded live. I have tried clearing the cache, I've tried a private window, and I've tried safe mode. I still can't get the video to play. However, when I copy and paste the url to Safari, it works fine. I have been able to play "live" videos while they are actually "live"; it's just that they will not load when I try to play them later. I don't have any problems playing videos which have been uploaded to Facebook; only those which were recorded live. The videos just show a circle in the middle as if they are trying to load but nothing else happens. The length of the video does not matter; it happens with short videos as well as long ones. The screenshot image (of a random "live" video I found) I am uploading shows a partial black circle in the center, which is a spinning circle in realtime. I have circled it in red.
