How do I remove the stupid sidebar??? I ve always loved Firefox but Ive just reinstall Windows and then Ive installed Firefox. And this ridiculous sidebar showed. Ive marke Show and hide but still keep on displaying, stealing space from my browsing... :(

I did a search to try and fix this. Suggestions included, checking if Private Windows are on, Customizing Toolbar, making sure all extensions are enabled and Refresh Firefox, all of which I did with no results. Before I go nuclear and uninstall/install Firefox, are there any other suggestions to solve this issue?

Since the 133 upgrade, some sites don't show scrollbar anymore (and therefore scrollwheel also doesn't work.) Is this a setting? (very annoying...) Windows10/64bit version.

I tried to remap the Tools > Page Info shortcut from Cmd + I to Ctrl + Opt + Cmd + I in macOS keyboard settings, however, despite the keyboard shortcut listed beside Page Info appearing to change, "Cmd + I" still brings up Page Info.

I read on another [https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/que.../1287036] post that the Shortkeys extension might help but the developer info page states that default keyboard shortcuts cannot be modified with the extension.

Creating an autoconfig file was also suggested [https://support.mozilla.org/bm/questi.../1381773 elsewhere, but I don't seem to have a defaults/pref directory in Contents/Resources inside Firefox.app. A guide on what to put in these files to change the default keyboard shortcut for Page Info would also be appreciated.

How the hell do I remove this crappy sidebar!?!?! Your suggestion of tapping the cog and clicking on sidebar button DOESN'T WORK! REMOVE IT! It is annoying, terrible! Why would you mess with something that didn't need to be fixed ? What are you, Jaguar? Remove it now, actually do something and fix it.

I hit the wrong key just now, and has taken over my computer before I hit the wrong I turned my computer off/on but this did not help,and can not get to my email to read your email. I can not off this page Loss my Search Bar,my Bookmarks, the Menu Bar also can some help me, I have been trying for three days to fix these problems. I've been using and enjoying Firefox for years on my various Windows machines. I've just purchased a Ubuntu Linux Thinkpad and have installed and used Firefox for a few days. It's generally working well except at start-up. Apparently it tries but can't restore the previous session, even though I have not selected "Open previous windows and tabs" ??

I am using lastest version on Windows and Linux (133.0) but I did notice the settings/options are a bit different in Linux, but I would just like to set my Linux FF to do same as Windows FF on startup, that is just two open tabs: - Gmail opened as a pinned tab. - Google Search as the open tab with focus I've attached a snip of the relevant section in General Settings How do I set this up in Linux? I went from Chrome to Firefox several months ago when I discovered that Firefox would automatically reopen all open tabs from previous session. I always put my pc in "sleep" mode at night. This morning it wouldn't "wake up" so I held the power button down until it shut down (Windows 11). Then I hit the power button and it started fine. I opened Firefox (Version 333.0) and all my tabs were gone. My wife uses Firefox on her Mac laptop and the same thing happened to her. She put her laptop to sleep last night and this morning all her tabs were gone.

After 3 hours of restoring my tabs, i went to settings and the option for Firefox to reopen all tabs from previous session was grayed out and clicking the circle next to it didn't do anything.

I am assuming this was caused by a Firefox update and am hoping someone has a fix for this. I'd hate to go back to Chrome, but I can't live with spending three hours of each day restoring tabs. I'd appreciate and be eternally grateful for any assistance and fix for this issue.

Why are we limited to 12 stock photos to pick from? I understand when this feature just rolled out it was limited, but it's been a while now. When are we going to be able to upload our own images? Also, it'd really be nice incorporate themes like Chrome does where you could pick from something like nature backgrounds that rotate automatically on your new tabs page.

My zip code changes constantly when I sign into accounts such as Costco, Sams, Home Depot. I correct the zip and when I sign out and back in, it's changed again. I had Geek Squad run a diagnostic and they said it's a Firefox issue. When I use MS Edge, the zip code does not change. Can I get help with this issue?

When I downloaded Firefox again, it gave me a nice option called “VerticalTabs”. I could also see this option in FirefoxLabs, but when I had to delete Firefox due to a bug on my computer, I could no longer see it in FirefoxLabs. Also, FirefoxLabs used to have an artificial intelligence add-on called ChatBot, but now it is gone. What is the reason?

When i try to print parts of a long g-mail conversation, I mark the part, right cklick on the marking and press "print marking" (or whatever it's called in english). Only about 2/3 of the marking is showed in the printing pre view and printed. Works fine in Crome, but I prefere Firefox. I have tried to re-setting firefox, no improvment. What can I do to print what I want?

Firefox downloads .ai files too often as .pdf files, which, although I can open in Adobe Illustrator and/or change the file suffix to open in Adobve Illustrator instead of it automatically opening in Acrobat (unless I right click into Illustrator), is a hassle and concerns me of unintentional file corruption. I don't know why Firefox is downloading .ai files as .pdf files, but it is impractical and frustrating. None of the file download settings I adjusted fixed the issue.

Is this a known issue? The only thread/question I found on this type of issue where files get downloaded as the wrong filetype/suffix was an archived question on .ddd files being downloaded as .pdf files. Please let me know if this is something the devs are aware of and can work to fix it.

I am setting up my new windows 11 based foxfire page. My old computer is windows 10 and my firefox page has a menu bar on the top with: file edit view history bookmarks tools help. I can figure out how to do this same thing on my page on this new computer

A while back I noticed that my google calendar no longer sends reminders to my gmail (or rather, I suspect, gmail does not receive them). Yesterday I missed an important meeting because of this, so I want to get to the bottom of it. I verified that the reminders are properly set in my calendar, so I have to assume that they are going out. The pop-up windows do pop, so I assume that it is not on the calendar side. I also noted that calendar.google.com and gmail.google.com have the proper permissions to send pop-ups and notifications to gmail, which indicates to me that this end of the equation is working. (Don't know how to isolate the error further, though.) It seems that the Firefox settings need to be changed somehow. Any ideas?

When I try to use Google Meet in Firefox I get the messages "No Camera Found" then "Camera Is Off". I have given meet.google.com access to the camera in Firefox and I have given access to desktop apps to use the camera in my Windows 11 settings. I'm not sure what's going on. The camera works fine in Meet if I open Meet in Chrome.

Hi, recently I encountered a werid popping sound while listining to music on YT. Firstly as I wanted to change my old DAC I swichted to a new one (every reason to buy new stuff is good), but now it is unberable. I spend some hours trying to figure out, watching tutorials etc. disabling all the stuff from device manager, checking if fast boot option is disabled, rolled back drivers, swithed to USB 2.0, disabled all of the extentions etc. etc. (the sound popping was only in youtube, but I figured maybe its due to my hardware or something). However, I found out that clearning cashe works for a couple of minutes, and browsing on incognito tab also works for some time. This leads me to belive that maybe a new updated is somehow messing it up, or google really wants me to use chrome. Any advice would be helpfull. Thanks

I have every about:config and settings option set to recommended to prevent autoplay videos. NONE work with yahoo. The vids will drop to the lower right hand corner but even if I click on the close window X they still pop open again. And again. And again. Is there a solution to this arrogant, self-centered behaviour by yahoo?

Helllllllllllp! Just had firefox install an update & now all my saved bookmarks, login passwords & previous home page have all gone. Have reset Home page, checked that Profile is correct & the bookmark folder is empty. Where have they all gone. Yes I have restarted my computer but made no difference.
