Example....

I am in main bookmark page. Scroll down to middle of bookmark and select a bookmarked website. Click on website to view. Then click on upper left hand corner arrow and it returns me to the top of the bookmark page, rather than returning to the same location of the bookmark.

Disabled all the plugin, cleared cache, history, etc., and still get the same results. Really frustrating to have to scroll down the bookmark page to get to the website.

Never had this problem until installing v. 75 and 76.

Ever since the upgrade to Firefox 76.0 on Windows 10 Pro ... sometimes I click on a link ... then click on the back button ... I am returned to the top of the page instead of the location from which I exited the original page

I have seen this reported several times ... with the workaround of Open Link in New Tab (which I have had to use for YouTube for several years) ... but now all pages (including my own) ... exhibit this problem

I have started Firefox in safe mode as well as with all plugins disabled ... and the results are the same

The page in question is my BOOKMARKS.html from this or any other profile ... if that helps

Hi there,

I'm frequently using the network monitor tool as developer. Now I found two bugs:

Gateway timeout: While developing I got a gateway timeout for an endpoint of my current project. In the console this is correctly logged but in the network monitor I don't see anything. This is quite confusing. The console log looks like this:

ERROR Error: "Uncaught (in promise): S: {"headers":{"normalizedNames":{},"lazyUpdate":null,"headers":{}},"status":504,"statusText":"Gateway Timeout","url":"https://myurl.myurl/profil","ok":false,"name":"HttpErrorResponse","message":"Http failure response for https://myurl.myurl/profile: 504 Gateway Timeout","error":null}"

Replaying request: Very useful feature, however it seems to have an issue with Authentication headers. When my angular application does a service call it works fine. When I then replay this request I get the response of the backend: 401 you are not logged in. Upon closed inspection I printed out the headers in this response and noted that after replaying the request the header "Authentication: Bearer ...." is missing.

Any hints how to fix these issues?

Also is this the correct space to report issues/bugs? I also found this url: https://github.com/mdn/kuma/issues which i'm not quite sure whether it would be the right space to open tickets for firefox network monitor tool.

Thanks for your help!

The sideways scroll arrows on each line of videos on the Amazon Prime Videos website have stopped showing on my Firefox (76.0.1 Win10), but they still appear in Chrome. Makes navigating tough. Could this related to the last Firefox update, or is it an Amazon issue?

I keep periodically getting a pop-up notice in the top right of my screen, but only on my laptop (I have a desktop I also regularly use and I generally use the Moxilla Firefox browser on both). The Pop-up purports to be from Firefox. The notice says, "Firefox can't update to the latest version." Below that statement it continues, "Download a fresh copy of Firefox and we'll help you install it." There are no logo's or any other representation it is actually from Firefox. I suspect it is a scam of some sort. Please advise...a legitimate notice from Firefox or a scam?

As the Title suggests.

My Add-Ons are all removed from my Toolbar and stop functioning whenever I set my History settings to "Never Remember History."

I have tried uninstalling and re-installing the Add-On's, refreshing Firefox, uninstalling/reinstalling Firefox. But none of this works.

I want to be able to use my Add-On's AND have Firefox not remember my history. It used to work before, but now it just won't let me.

Any suggestions?

Hi

I looked at a couple other threads on this problem, which said that you have to install a dictionary and (for example), "You can see which dictionary is selected if you right-click in a text area and open the Languages sub menu". But when I right click in a text area, the context menu has no mention of spelling or languages, and I can't find any place in the Options where one would install a dictionary.

Besides which, why doesn't Firefox tell the poor user that he has to install a dictionary, or put something about it by the check-box in the Options that refers to the spelling checker? And why, in the past, did I never have this problem with Firefox, but only now with a new computer? (Windows 10 as before.)

I am restarting FF. I am on 76 and the install is for 77. A window pops up asking for my credentials to install a new helper tool. I don't recall seeing this before and it looks a lot like Oracle's Java installer that tries to install a bunch of crud. In that case cancel continues with the Java install. In this case, Cancel stops the FF upgrade.

What is this tool and why is it not described better to know have a better guess as to whether it is safe to install?

To reiterate, websites the employ a custom right click context menu work, but doesn't override the default Firefox context menu. The websites I've tried to use the right click context menu are Slack, and Gmail.

Attached is a screenshot of me trying to right click an e-mail inside Gmail's website.

I've tried searching the web and starting Firefox in safe mode, but I still haven't been able to solve this issue.

Every time I reboot my computer, Firefox unchecks the "Ask to save logins and passwords for websites" checkbox and as a result, saved logins do not appear. It is annoying and inexplicable. The logins aren't lost, but I shouldn't have to recheck the checkbox every time I start the computer. Is this a "feature" to force me to use an account to make passwords transferable by storing them in the cloud?

Since the last update [76.0 (64-bit)], whenever I enter a fullscreen mode in any media player on a website (e.g. Youtube) I can no longer Alt-tab normally, even if I close the fullscreen. Instead it takes 3 times to switch to another window - first press of the Alt-tab combination causes Firefox to lose focus but remain on top, 2nd press returns focus onto Firefox and then the 3rd one actually switches to another window.

This also occurs when simply switching to fullscreen on any other website as well (by pressing F11).

This also causes any newly open windows to be displayed under the Firefox window.

Pressing Ctrl-Alt-Esc minimizes the window normally and the issue does not occur then, however, it occurs again whenever I go fullscreen.

The problem occurs also in the Safe mode. Antivirus did not find any issues, so I don't believe the cause to be external.

OS is Windows 10 Home, 64-bit.
