I downloaded my activity from Google/Youtube, which has all my LIKED videos stored as a .json file, but I'm not able to restore it into Firefox's bookmarks. I backed up my current bookmarks and noticed that it created a .json file. Why would it do that? Aren't the files supposed to be .jsonlz4 instead?

I got my computer back from the shop and see that they have handed me over to Google. Firefox presence almost nil. Google scares me. Help?

I want to see Firefox in the browser box, not GOOGLE. I don't want to see Google anyplace but as a choice to use for a web search next to Yahoo and a bunch of others, as it's always been. I've found out from past experience that when you give Google an inch it takes way more than a mile. I hate Google, don't trust it. I know it can provide all kinds of good things, but then when you hook up with it, that's when it pulls the rug out from under you. Never, ever trust Google. Google is evil. They remind me of the drug pusher on the school ground. Look what they did to Google images -- took them away. Also, my server (Spectrum) provides me with McAfee antivirus, but my computer shop told me that the computer would not allow Microsoft downloads with McAfee and so they installed Avast. Avast is annoying, always trying to get me to sign up and pay a lot. I'm wondering if the problem with McAfee is not caused by giving Google so much power over my browser and web searches. BTW, I'm not even sure what the difference is between a browser (like Firefox) and a search engine like Google, Yahoo etc. I just know that I like seeing Firefox in the browser box, and NOT GOOGLE. Somebody please rescue me from Google!

Hello my name is SuperDave. I am having an or think I am being monitored . Computer hacked, spyed on . Or whatever you guys call it for along time and because of the things that happen to my accounts, photos, how and if I can surf the web. Downloading issues. Web and computer over heating proformance. Web site warnings, unable to download or switched of security programs, or looks and says it's working but know it's doing nothing. And when investigated. Shows uninstalled or switched off. Without my knowledge. Been told nothing is wrong but when I go into users . There seems to be like 10 different kinds of people logged in my account. But one feature seems to stick out from the rest. On the bottom screen of Windows there is a task bar. Everyone knows this. But it looks like there is another one behind it. Now is this normal? I thought that if there is one that there might be another hidden screen behind it. And when opening another screen it seems to open 2 instead of one. When I hit back it the same as the one I opened. Am I being paranoid? All so have been warned that I have been open to ransom ware. . I went and bought McAfee and have a two year subscription. And when issues came up I would call and they would help me. But never came out and said I have been hacked. They just seem not to want to tell me. Am I going crazy? Or do I really have a problem. Or is the web just like that these days or what? Please advise me. I have been looking for a simple download to use to check when ever I feel like something's wrong. But get these sites that use lingo. And long pages to read that only a computer geek would understand. Why is this so difficult? Signed SuperDave, think I need to lye down now it's giving me a headache.

I have cleared history several times in Firefox, but it obviously hasn't cleared history because I can bring up previously visited pages in the search bar. Is anybody aware of laws that Mozilla may be in breach of in the case that it's misleading consumers. It certainly claims to clear ALL data, including search and browsing history. I'm sure it's claims are false and misleading.

There a posts about unchecking the Avast HTTPS Scanning setting to 'fix' some problem Websites with TLS 1.3.

This was fixed back on Jun 28th with an Avast Virus Definition Update. (Check your Avast settings to make sure you are receiving Virus Definition Updates automatically.) Later, a Jul 4th Avast Virus Definition Update brought the problem back, but was quickly fixed, and retained the same Virus Definition Update name, 180704-2 back on Jul 4th.

If you still have a secure Website/Certificate problem, it can be quickly checked by temporarily turning OFF your Anti-Virus Shields or disabling your Security Extension Add-ons to see if any of these are the problem.

Certain attachments on some emails, including graphics, etc. don't show up at all in Firefox, but appear with no problem in Chrome and Safari. I have already cleared cookies and cache numerous times. This is from a newly downloaded current version of Firefox, without any intentional add-ons or extensions.
