I am using Firefox Developer Edition version 154.0b5 (latest according to settings) and when I try double clicking or use ctrl + A, the url won't be selected (or parts of it if I try something selecting something specific). Double clicking doesn't work at all.

Is this a bug?

I don't use Firefox daily, so not sure exactly when it last opened ok on my iMac (26.5.2). So I downloaded Version=153.0.1 BuildID=20260727124451, and tried again. When attempting to launch, the icon in the dock bounced a few times, then nothing. When repeated, it only bounces once.

Likely unrelated, but I had very recently upgraded my LuLu app (4.4.3) from Objective-See. It monitors outbound connections. But disabling the app changes nothing.

I'm not a MacOS guru. I expect there is an error in a log file somewhere that reveals the problem, but I don't know where to look.

Suggestions?

Since one of the latest updates, Firefox keeps randomly showing me a popup saying "pin this tab", pointing to a tab I just opened. I close it with its X button, but after a while it just pops up again. I don't want to pin a tab, ever - I have bookmarks for a reason and I don't see any point in this feature. How do I stop this incredibly annoying popup from bugging me constantly to do something I never want to do?

I'm on a private home network with an internet connection. When I try to use Firefox it displays a message saying "You must log in to this network before you can access the internet".

Many websites, e.g. Amazon, won't load and an 'Open network login page' button is shown. When I click this it takes me to a Mozilla page talking about Captive Portal, but there's nothing about how to stop this happening and access those websites.

Other browsers, e.g. MS Edge, or Brave, have no problem access these websites.

How do I fix this problem?

I am using Firefox to conduct Securus Jpay video connect visits and I have been unable to join a scheduled session due to what I believe is failure of the downloaded VRE client to load. When I do a precall test, everything, including the VRE client works correctly and I'm told that I will be able to run a session successfully. However, just as the video connect visit is about to begin, I am told to download the VRE client to continue. I have don't this multiple times, deleting each prior download and re-doing the download +installation. It's been very frustrating and I've tried everything. Up until about 2 weeks ago, everything was working smoothly. I'm stumped. Please help. thank you.

Until a few months ago, I was able to turn off the underlining of URLs in web pages that I create. But within the last few months, all URLs appear as underlined, even in documents where they had NOT been underlined a few months ago. I am using the text-decoration setting to control this aspect. Look at page https://www.w3schools.com/CSS/tryit.asp?filename=trycss_link2 in the Edge browser, and see the "This link changes text-decoration" change between underlined and not as the cursor is moved on and off of that sentence in the middle box. Now look at the above page in latest Firefox. Moving the cursor on and off of the "This link changes text-decoration" sentence causes NO change to that sentence -- it always is underlined.

I refer to the w3schools.com website when I wish to learn about a new-to-me feature, and I have found their site to be accurate in the past.

A couple days ago when I opened Firefox, I immediately started getting pop up messages saying I had viruses. If I clicked on REMOVE VIRUS, it tried to get me to sign up with McAfee. I cannot see my full screen due to all the pop up screens. My MS Defender virus protection is not identifying any viruses.

Videos autoplay using iPad Pro M5 despite Auto-Play Video Previews, Auto-Play Animated Images and Auto-Play Message Effects all being turned OFF. Current Mozilla advice appears to be associated with PC use not iPad. Thank you!

Firefox keeps crashig upon start-up. The tab stays open but it just says not responding.

I've tried deleting, and re-downloading, changing settings, changing and deleting profiles through profile manager. Troubleshoot doesn’t work and neither does refresh.

Other browsing apps work just fine, it's just firefox. I only had one add-on, which was AdGuard AdBlocker.

I hadn't done anything that I'm aware of, hadn't touched any settings and only had a max of 3 tabs open at a time.

I don't really know what else I can try anymore.

Hi, I'm still using Windows 7. Yes probably that's a cause but I'm not sure how. I'm using Firefox 115.38.0esr. Now for a while I've been finding it difficult to log into eBay. I'd try and log on and get this message "SORRY

<a varying error number>

Please go back and try again or go to eBay Homepage."

I'd go to the homepage and successfully log in. Then it took more than one try. Now I can't log in at all. I can still log in on a buying only account. It doesn't allow me to use the password, but it will accept access via text message. With the seller accounts, it doesn't give the option for access via text message only. Can this be fixed by Mozilla? I removed all extensions, and reset by PC to an earlier backup in case corruption was a cause. I've also deleted the cash.

I updated my version to 153.0. The Bookmarks left panel was there. I did a CTRL+B, this one disapeared normal But once done I wanted to have my Boorkmarl left pannel back. So I did CTRL+B no Bookmark left pannel was displayed :-(

When viewing a PDF in Firefox the URL bar indicates the file was downloaded to a temporary folder. If I then select "Save" from the PDF toolbar; or if I right click and select "Save page as" it opens a save dialog to the location I previously saved the same category of PDF to. For example I have separate folders for invoices, if the PDF is my electricity invoice it somehow knows and opens the electricity folder. If it is a water invoice, it automatically opens the water folder.

Whilst this is indeed quite handy, I do not understand how Firefox is doing this; nor do I understand whether this may be a privacy risk in some circumstances and should therefore be configurable.

The Nvidia manual driver download page fails to complete loading, i,e, starts looping every 4 seconds never completing to select a driver download.

I'm running W10 with the extended MS security update.

Have had no issues like this previously in 2026 up to July 2026.

I'm running Firefox 153.1 64-bit on Windows 11 Pro 25H2. I have a LOT of bookmarks. Possibly over 3,000. Somehow over time I've managed to create a LOT of bookmarks in the Other Bookmarks folder unintentionally. I need to move and merge those to the correct Bookmarks Menu and ideally eliminate any dupes. Everywhere I look for a process to accomplish this I seem to get a lot of "can't be done". Does anyone know how to do this? Thanks for any help.

Not sure if this is a settings question. After my computer had to be cleaned from a virus, the Firefox reload came without the little house home icon. When I'm done doing somethi g and want to go back to the main page, clicking the back arrow closes firefox.

I have two files with the given content:

one.pdf .. the book jane eyre two.pdf .. the book adam bede

I go to https://duck.ai/chat and press the paperclip icon to upload a file. I upload one.pdf. I ask the AI to analyse it. It says it's jane eyre. This is correct.

On my disk, I rename one.pdf to one.old.pdf and rename two.pdf to one.pdf. I then ask the AI to reanalyse the file. It says its adam bede, which one.pdf now is, so that's correct too.

Under my understanding, if I upload something using HTML, it's uploaded. What I'm seeing above is the AI dynamically reaching into my hard drive and reading the current file. Note: I never uploaded a file containing adam bede, nor did I consent for it to be read by the AI.

What is going on there?

My question is how do I temporarily remove my bookmarks. I have many bookmarks, hundreds, and I want to disable them temporarily for a few days so they can't be seen by another person using my computer. How can I disable them, but then make them all reappear a few days later? Can someone help? Appreciate the help. Thank you.
