very frustrated, and pissed at how programmers always screw things up that are working just fine by upgrading crap. Now, I have suddenly had all of my addons quit working, was forced to update my firefox. Nothing changed, and it still shows that I am using version 105, instead of the all-new, better and fancier, singing and dancing crap that is being forced upon me.

I recently was able to successfully install Firefox on my Chromebook via Linux following instructions on the site. I have received notifications about an update from March 14th and I do not know how I can install this update. Can you please walk me through the steps required. It does not seem to install automatically and now my extensions don't appear to be working anymore. Thank you.

i was browsing youtube and suddenly got an ad, which is how i noticed my add-ons were gone. all of them, not just the ad blocker. and they had still been there like a couple of minutes ago. when i go to download any extension, i've tried a lot of them, it just says "installation aborted because the add-on appears to be corrupt" but it doesn't say what i can do about that. please help!

I have been using the iCloud Passwords extension successfully with MS Edge, but decided to switch back to Firefox as my default browser.

Having requested and installed the extension (v1.3.77.1), it shows as working in Firefox extensions management, and the icon appears in the toolbar, but a message is displayed when the icon is clicked, "Download iCloud for Windows to use iCloud Passwords".

The issue is that I already have iCloud for Windows installed and working, and iCloud Passwords working with Edge. It appears that Firefox cannot detect that iCloud for Windows is installed and working.

Please can you tell me if this can be resolved, and if so, how? Thank you.

The small green dot in the upper right that notifies me of a pending update is gone, since several months. When I navigate to About Firefox, or in the settings, I can see that a new version is available and it lets me install the update. But I miss being able to see the notification.

Did I disable some setting by mistake? Auto-updates should be turned on as far as I know.

I have a very old version of Firefox (51.0.1 64-bit) on Windows 7 Pro. I know it's well out-of-date. It's not my "main" browser, but there are some things I use it for because there are (were) some handy old extension on it. For example there's an extension that simply copies any text I highlight, without my having to press CTRL-C. I find the "scrapbook" invaluable for saving info offline.

Yesterday everything was fine. Today ALL the extensions have been disable because "[extension] could not be verified for use in firefox and has been disabled". There is no option to enable them again.

I have backups of the extensions (xpi files), but firefox is telling me that they appear to be corrupted.

Is there any way to either enable the disabled extensions, or force firefox to reinstall then from my backups? I have toggled "xpinstall.signatures.required" to "false".

Be descriptive. Saying “playing video on YouTube is always choppy” will help us understand the issue better than saying “something is wrong” or “the app is broken”.

I normally use Firefox Developer Edition, version 127 because any later version always freezes my whole computer (probably because I'm using a 15-year old PC). Recently all my extensions became disabled. I'm now also unable to install any extension because it says "Installation aborted because the add-on appears to be corrupt". I found some instructions on Mozilla website about deleting compatibility.ini and extensions folder, but it didn't solve the issue. Now I'm stuck and confused as I suspect some of the extension files that should be in my Profile folder may not be there.

The simplest solution in this case would be to use the "Refresh Firefox" option which resets everything to default settings, but every time I do it my computer freezes until rebooted. Uninstalling and reinstalling manually is also not the way to go, because it retains all the settings.

I've tried installing the standard Firefox browser (v. 119) alongside the Developer Edition but the same issue is there as well.

I'm looking for an alternative way to get a clean Firefox install, so I can fix my extensions.

Additional info: - Your system specs? Windows 10 64-bit, 4 GB RAM, Pentium Dual-core, no GPU - Hardware acceleration? Disabled. - Using any mods? Yes, two. Geckium for Firefox, which always works fine. The recent issue started when I played around with Revert8Plus, but it initially worked without issues.

I can't figure this out. I've been having this issue ever since I deleted my KMspico files after I did a scan using Malware Bytes (it was labelled as dangerous files or whatever so I let the app delete it).

After the restart, I can't use nor reinstall the Discord app along with being unable to download any Extensions, Themes, or Plugins for both Firefox and LibreWolf. It's frustrating as I had to go back to previous browsers, which I didn't want to do. Any help in fixing this is highly appreciated as I really want this fixed.

Hi, Sadly having big problems transferring Thunderbird onto new WIN11 PC. Been at it for some days now.... The old PC's C drive is now installed on the new PC (as a spare drive) so all the original Thunderbird files are still intact I believe. I have always kept my email files in separate dated folders on the old PC HD and so have about 27Gb of data (965 files in 111 folders) all under AppData/Roaming/Thunderbird/Profiles/xxxxdefault However after installing latest Thunderbird version and trying to substitute the above original profile I find the old stored files are not visible on opening Thunderbird. the software tries to download huge number of files from the server, and there is no Address Book data from previous old PC install. Is it possible to restore firefox to a previous version to recover all my data? After update, all my firefox pages, tabs, bookmarks and history have vanished. Please help me recover or restore. Thank you!
