I had bookmarks and backgrounds and everything saved on my browser. My mac book died and now when i open it everything reset. I didn't have any profiles or sync on but why did everything reset. And am i able to get what I had back.

Hi, Since three or four months, whenever I log into Outlook live, either on Mac or Windows PC, I get a security warning saying that the information will not be secure (Please see attachment.) When I log into the same account, from Edge for example, I do not get the warning popup. I really enjoy using Firefox and would love to continue but this case is worrying me a bit. Any idea to help? So, after using firefox in the background to browse websites or watch videos I checked my memory usage in firefox with about:memory -> Measure and saw that youtube was consuming a decent amount >2GB (checked the main url when clicking the youtube src, it was the video on that sole tab i was watching and nothing else playing youtube in the bg) so i closed that tab, waited a bit and re-measured but then see that the memory usage for youtube rose about 200MB... and the website for youtube is that same url for the tab that i just closed (when checking the src in the results for Measure). I've been revisiting the about:memory page, reloaded it and re-Measured and youtube is STILL THERE. Even now, 10 minutes later i still see youtube there, with none of my tabs running youtube.

If i close firefox entirely and re-open my tabs then it'll very likely fix it but this has to be a major issue no? I shouldn't have to close the entire browser program just to fix a website visit, which is youtube of all websites.

As of this moment, firefox, with 8 tabs open, is consuming 4,452.99MB (~4.5GB) where 2.5GB is youtube for that page i closed.

I don't know if sharing memory reports from the about:memory page give my cookies away or leave me open to a similar vulnerability so I won't share it unless a dev or similar asks for it but for now, I've included an image showing all the tabs i have open on firefox, 2 windows.

When sliding from the primary Mac screen to another on the same computer the Firefox image (and ONLY that image) is duplicated on each additional screen image loaded making the use of multiple screens virtually useless.

I am running W11 (HOME). FF is acting like I am running W10 (I keep getting info on needing to upgrade to W11).

Now to the real problem:

It appears since I upgraded FF to 146.0.1 64 bit, FF seems to have problems pulling up password/ids that haven't been used for a while. It actually can't find them as if they had never been used. The number of "passwords" it lists is rather small (like 8). This is causing me to have to go through lost password routines.

Any idea what or why this is happening?

Loading website for BacaPoa.frontsteps.com does not work, now fails ("not secured") . This is business site I have for years.? [windows 11] Is the a bypass or override I can do? JR

I have changed operating systems from windows to linux mint. I made sure to sync my profile before uninstalling, but now the profile looks to be empty. there are no saved passwords or bookmarks. This worked when I changed between different windows devices last year, but this time it seems stuck. I will check on a windows device when able, but in the meantime, are there any other ways to troubleshoot this?

In Firefox, I have several windows open, each with many tabs. (And BTW, I love the Firefox tab-organization feature.) I would like to empty the cache and delete all cookies. Will that close the open tabs? Is there a way to delete the cookies, empty the cache and preserve all windows & tabs?

I'm changing computers. I want to upload my browser's bookmarks to a file. Then I can clear it for the next person to start from scratch. So far, I can't find a tab to make it happen. Please help. Thanks.

Had trouble getting Bookmarks to look like I had on the old disk. I reinstalled the old disk and went to FireFox and downloaded the Bookmarks in a HTML file on a memory stick. Shut system down. Reinstall the new SSD disk and tried to "install" bookmarks under Manage Bookmarks, but I could not get the Bookmarks to show up on the space below the main Search HTML box. And my most recent websites found are now ABOVE the main Search HTML box. And ABOVE that is: "Get Support | Mozilla Support...... " It just all looks/feels different. I think in the old Firefox days, the line below was called Bookmarks Toolbar ? I can live with this, but I've spent 45 minutes trying to get 'the old way'. Now on that line below the main Search HTML box is also "Other Bookmarks", where I used to keep any site that was not on Bookmark Toolbar. Now this "Other Bookmarks" contains only one Tab called "FireFox Privacy", not any of my old "Other Bookmarks", that I thought I "Imported". I wish that my saved file that I "Export Bookmarks to a HTML.." did, when imported, that I would have been asked "Do you want your Imported Bookmarks to be installed exactly the way you had them when they were Exported?" Also I was on Linux Mint 22.2 on the first disk and also on Linux Mint 22.2 on my new SSD disk.

I used to go to bookmarks right click hit open in new tab and the bookmarks tab would stay so I could open more sites in separate tabs. Now when I hit open in new tab on a bookmark the bookmark tab closes so I have to keep opening it to open additional site?

When I watch videos (reels) on Facebook, and sometimes on YouTube, I share a video either to messenger or my page, the whole string of videos I have already watched goes back to the beginning of the string everytime. Only Firefox does this. I have 3 other browsers that work fine, but I prefer Firefox of course.

I got a new tablet and synced my Fire fox but did it from the new device so it removed all my pinned shortcuts from my other computers. How can I recover my shortcut settings? What is the correct way to sync other devices to the one you have as the main one?

I love my current Firefox settings, bookmarks, folders and color, background image, dark mode. All I want to do is to create a Firefox browser backup file. I don't want to restore or sync anything. I just want a backup file in case of computer failure to restore to my next computer if ever necessary. I'm using Windows 10. I think they used to be "json" files? The only "Backup" link in the menu only addresses Restoring from a file. I just want to create a backup file for this current browser just the way it is. Is there a simple solution? Thank you SO much!!
