My Imac running Mavericks has been functioning perfectly and I have never had a problem uploading files to sites or applications online until two days ago when suddenly I cannot upload anything to any place within FIREFOX. I have found a few places where I can drag and drop a file to upload it but not many (including here - tried to drag an image to upload for you and it froze the page, reloaded it and now I am typing this whole mess over again!) I am a graphic designer and send files through email, and I also build and update websites for several clients, so this is a HUGE problem. I have NO trouble uploading or finding files within applications or programs on my computer itself even now, but the minute I try to open the finder to select and upload a file into FIREFOX I get a blank finder window with just the spinning "loading" symbol and it NEVER finishes and load the window. This is unacceptable. ---- By the way, I also have a Toshiba laptop and it has NO problems uploading files into Firefox. Does anyone know if there is a Firefox patch or something for Mac computers that can help?

MAJOR PROBLEM- When I try to add pictures on ANCESTRY computor locks up & I have to shut down &lose everything.
It also happens whe I try to add pictures on a WORDS document
After the latest update I can't post pictures on FaceBook.
If I try and post a pic to Facebook, it just continues to load, but never does. If I use another browser and post a pic, it post immediately.

I updated my Nvidia GeForce 460 to version 347.88. I also had a Firefox update on March 13, 2015. Now my Back, Reload, Bookmark, Home, Hello, and Menu buttons will not show up. My tabs are blocked out, and I don't have an New Tab nor Exit button on them. My Exit button for Firefox is about half normal, can still see the Min/Max and other half of the Exit button, but it seems shaded.

Using firefox to upload files online, being this a simple pdf document or a video file, prevents me from deleting the file from my hard drive, once the process is completed. Once I quit the web browser, deleting the file is possible. It looks like firefox is keeping the link to a file in constant use even after the website at which the file was used is no longer opened. Am I missing some something in firefox's properties settings?

I have even uninstalled the program using "add remove program" via my control panel but the result still remains, I can not upload a simple .xml file and I was able to do so before my last upgrade.
Why do I get the Apple OS spinning wheel of death for so long when selecting attachments to upload?
The wheel spins for 30 sec or more before I am able to select attachments to upload.

Been using Firefox as main browser for years, a couple of updates have come through in the last 2 weeks and now I can no longer upload files to the likes of Facebook, Outlook e-mails & photobox. The same problem is replicated in Chrome but everything is working fine in IE (which I haven't used for years).
I can still upload files which are a few KB in size, but anything approaching 1 MB or above just stalls and fails.
Last time I managed to upload larger files (i.e. 1.3MB) successfully using Firefox was 16/12
Using Firefox 43.0.2, Chrome 47.0.2526.106 m and IE 11 for Windows 7
Operating System is Windows 7 Home Premium with Service Pack 1
Adobe Flash is up to date and I've tried clearing the cache, resetting firefox and running in safe mode - no joy.

The same is with upload file through Choose file button. Allways i must close Firefox before manipulation with used file.

Firefox does not open the 'Select File' dialog box if I click on the 'Select Files' button on websites. Websites I tried include virustotal.com, fineuploader.com/demos.html and even the 'Add Images' possibility on this support site I'm asking my question. Selecting files through Flash is working, though (e.g. uploadify.com), as well as dragging files on the button does work. I followed the advices given here, hence Firefox is currently opened in Safe Mode (which still does not allow to select files). How can I solve this behaviour without switching to a stable version (the current FF 38 stable is not available as 64 bit) or restoring it (through about:support; don't know if it would work either)?

Whenever I try to upload a picture or anything it hangs the entire browser, can't access any website. Other browsers do not do the same like Google Chrome. I have to keep closing my browser down and restarting it and then I am able to browse as normal but whenever I try to upload something it just hangs.
Also, FireFox is so much slower these days I have to revert to Chrome, such as YouTube page loads slower, videos sometimes stutter when skipping. It doesn't do this in Chrome so it's not my connection.
