I use a laptop with Windows 7. Firefox version is 39.0. I use internet through my university's proxy. The problem is that once I start watching a video on Firefox, as the video progresses, RAM usage constantly keeps increasing till the point where even my antivirus points out that Firefox is using a lot of RAM. I have only 4 GB RAM and Firefox starts at around 300-400 MB ends up using 2.5 GB of this and keeps increasing till the computer hangs. Once I close the video tab, the RAM usage holds steady. I have uninstalled all the add-ons. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling Firefox. It didn't work out. I am hoping someone here might be able to help me out. I can access YouTube only through this university's proxy.

To whom it may concern, Every time that I turn my computer on, I get this in a black box on my computer. If any of you out there can help me get rid of it, I would be very thankful! Malcolm.

After a little while of using my firefox browser the pointer will no longer work. I have to open a separate page using IE which I do not like to do. If I try to click on drop down boxes for choices of anything it just simply will not do anything.

I have a few spare minutes and I'm writing a book. I was to self-publish it or e-publish it or I don't know. I search for websites dealing with publishing books and place them in a bookmark folder named publishing. Several days later I want to recall those sites I found to see which ones interest me. I do not know any of the url's, I only know I placed them in a folder called publishing. I have hundreds of bookmark folders and thousands of urls. I want to search for and find the folder publisher so I can look at the websites. Your instructions about the upper search windows bring up history of places (many) I've visited. Your bookmark tools: you can get a history, you can view recently bookmarked, used tags, show unsorted (in no particular order), You canorganize, crete new bookmarks and NEW folders, etc. and all kinds of other organizational stuff. You can view in columns by keyword... and a well hidden window pops up called search BOOKMARKS...not FOLDERS. I typed in publish and all I got back were urls with the name publish in their title. And finally you can sort - again bookmarks, not folders. I don't think I even found a place where you can alphabetize folders which would be some kind of start...going down the list to the "P's" until I found publish. And finally, but equally not helpful you can import and backup. NOWHERE can you search for a folder that I could easily find. I have been a programmer since the mid 70's and a web designer too - if I can't find it I need to hang up my keypad because I've lost it. (Is that a better description than "something is wrong, firefox is broken"? But by the way, thank you for having the professional courage and courtesy to at least make this kind of dialogue available - you are one of the few and that is why I like your company and your browser..now if you could just fix this little problem for me (as well as finally get a substitute for that lousy Adobe Flash...do I hear HTML5?) I'd be a very happy camper and do unsolicited ads for you to all my goofy friends. Thank you if you made it this far - you're a brave soul.

I wanted to send information about my thoughts to firefox. Where do you send feedback????

Have used Firefox for years. I also use Google Apps and none of the Google Market Place Apps work with Firefox, only Chrome. Gqueues does not have an extension. The easiest way to gain more supporters is for the Chrome market place apps to also automatically install on Firefox.

I can't figure out how to reverse the upgrade. I'm really rather upset with this recent version and just want to return to the last version of FireFox that I was using. Is therew a way to revert or am I stuck without my menu, history, bookmarks and such at the upper left of the screen? If so, I will not be using FireFox after what, ten years!!! Dave

In the previous version of Firefox Sync I could use different settings per browser install for the same sync account to determine what was included. For example, my home desktop and my personal laptop would sync bookmarks, preferences, and add-ons but my work laptop syncs only bookmarks and preferences, not add-ons. In the new version even the sync configuration appears to sync which means I cannot use different sync settings on each machine. Very annoying and this means I cannot use sync with my work machine (there are add-ons I would not want on my work machine).

Starting yesterday, about half of the websites that I try to go on are blocked. I get a message: Secure Connection Failed

An error occurred during a connection to secure.mawebcenters.com. Peer reports incompatible or unsupported protocol version. (Error code: ssl_error_protocol_version_alert)

   The page you are trying to view cannot be shown because the authenticity of the received data could not be verified.
   Please contact the website owners to inform them of this problem.

Is there a fix for this? Is this a new issue. Has something changed that I need to address on my computer. These are websites and programs that we have used for years.

I would like to review resumes from MI Talent Connect and each one that I click on gets automatically downloaded to my notebook. I would prefer to just 'view' the resume to begin with.

The help page says click the down arror to open downloads panel, and there is a "show all downloads" button near the bpttom. Ok I got it, but you fucked up what was perfect in FF20.

when I try to update to latest adobe flash, it never gets farther than a blank adobe download manager screen. Also the exe file is always deleted from my unit after attempting upgrade. Ideas?
