Hi,Why is download showing up on nearly all sites I go to & HOW do I get rid of it permantently I can close it by hitting the X beside the Download,but it Should not be there Thanks Darryl

I recently purchased a dell refurbished computer, I set it up went and downloaded fire fox without any trouble. I restarted computer today and it would not accept password I called DiscountcomputerDepot.com help and they helped me to restart and they told me they would have to reinstall windows from computer. So I lost all my programs. when it restarted said would have to update windows. I got a new Acer laptop with windows 11 (64bit). I downloaded FF but when I open it, it just gives a blank page. If I type in an address nothing happens. I have tried reinstalling but nothing seems to work

I try to install Firefox on a HP Z1 G8 desktop under Windows 11 Pro. The first time I get a warning that a .dll is not available or so (I dont know what this warning is precisely, becaus it pops up for 2 seconds only ) , and firefox is not well installed, reinstalling goes without warning, but still Firefox starts and then stay dead, no sites, no settings. I know the security in this computer is very thight, but other apps install without problem and functions.

Why Firefox cant be installed where other apps can ??????

This is a very bizarre problem. Basically I can't install any Firefox addon neither on my desktop OR may laptop. I noticed this issue just couple of days ago. When I try to install any addon normally, from a link, it tells me that the addon can't be installed because the file is corrupt. Tried several addons, all same problem. On my desktop AND on my laptop. On my desktop I'm running ver. 103, but on my laptop I still had ver. 102.1, so there is no Firefox update issue. When I try to install addon from xpi file, it tells me that I have no permission to open that file and that's it. I tried to take ownership of that file but it didn't solve the issue I tried to disable my AV program, but it didn't do anything. On my laptop, I tried to refresh FF, no help. I tried to start FF in safe mode, same problem. I created new profile, same issue. Eventually, I totally uninstalled FF, removing program itself, removing Appdata folder and even registry entry. Installed fresh copy of FF, same problem exists. Then, I noticed one thing. When I tried to sync fresh FF installation on my laptop, it synced everything, EXCEPT for addons. So, something is preventing me doing anything regarding addons. Themes install just fine. I've struggling with this problem since yesterday and at this point I totally ran out of any fresh ideas how to solve this issue, thus posting here. I'll appreciate any fresh idea as what to do next. In the past, FF downloaded documents without opening them in the browser. This is two weeks now that whenever I download a document, FF is now opening the document in the browser without asking me.

I welcome if someone could tell me what I can do to stop FF from opening the documents.

Firefox wasn't working well on a seldom-used laptop, and the update to 100.0.1 didn't go quite right, so I deleted the old version and (using the odious Edge) tried downloading a fresh copy of the software.

But then I get a message from "7-ZIP" that reads "Can not create temp folder archive"

I'm stuck. Advice?

Firefox was lagging everywhere: scrolling, switching folders in bookmarks, switching windows, switching tabs, opening settings, scrolling in settings...just everywhere. So I tried downgrading to v. 113. After downgrading via the ling in settings it still showed v. 114. I uninstalled firefox entirely and downloaded the loader for v 112. I installed it and it went thru whole install process to the point of asking to close and start Firefox. It didn't start. When I clicked on the icon it gave me a prompt that it didn't point to anything and asked if I wanted to delete it. I looked in program files folder but didn't find a folder for Firefox or Mozilla. I installed the developer edition and it worked but I don't want dark dev ed. Please help!

Hi New Dell Inspiron 15-3000, installed Firefox 100 in new laptop, transfered all files via LAN from old laptop All websites work ok except 2 of the 4 banking websites I use. One site will not accept my login the other will open after putting in my login twice Have gone to "troubleshoot mode" and both sites work , go back to "normal" and they do not work Any clues how to fix this, not to technical please I am not a computer whizz and all children have left home Many thanks Ron Managh

Hello and thanks. I have a new PC hard drive and need to reinstall browser. I logged into my Firefox account online but cannot find the answer. Is there a way I can install my browser with my old bookmarks and/or history? I am running Windows 10.

is it possible to make this opened site/s bar smaller,less wilde ,see my screenshot, this one by : nieuw tabblad like using fonts in about:config. the internet bar i find ok.

I’m locked out of all of my accounts because I can’t remember my firefox password and all records of it were lost to a corrupted drive. If I can’t access my 100s of accounts I’ve had for years because of firefox, I’m going to do something rash. I literally can’t even access my fucking email to prove it was me because I wanted to uP mY sEcUrItY and use randomly generated passwords. Help and help fast because I am sick with anger right now.
