I wasted about an hour trying to make my bookmarks within a folder I named (let's call it "Foolhardy books and CD's") be transferred to Chrome. Every single OTHER folder and bookmark within NOT called "mobile bookmarks" IS transferring!!! Worst is 1) I didn't start these bookmarks on the computer I'm using...and use 'sync' but no one ever told me that would become a dodo bird distinction when it comes to easy bm transfers. I have tried saving it in JSON or plain text on desk top as new folder and again, it just doesn't like the particular Foolhardy file from any otherwise complete 'add to Chrome from Firefox" etc. There's some dudes on a google search on this with a converter, but it doesn't do a darn thing, and no clear way to contact them "if somethings not working". My concern is if I can't get this bookmark folder to convert out of mobile format, its pretty pathetic, meaning it is trying to make me stay within Firefox/Mozilla format....ugggh!

I wanted to move the Firefox's automatically created bookmark folder "Other Bookmarks" into another folder (called To Sort folder). The folder was moved to the new location but it also remained in the "root" bookmarks folder. I tried to get it to be the other way round so that the "to-Sort" folder will be in the Bookmarks folder but- Trying to move it back it created a loop. Now when I go into the Other Bookmarks folder I can see the "To Sort" and it has a folder in it called "Other Bookmarks", which has the repeated same links and again the "To Sort" which has the "Other Bookmarks" which has the "To Sort" --> etc. ad infinitum

HELP

Recently I accidentially deleted some bookmarks. I tried a recovery from my latest automatic bookmark recovery session and also from the day before. This worked only partially. All bookmarks and the bookmark folder structure has been restored, but seperately. I now have about seventy empty folders and about 2000 bookmarks not in their folders but all in the "root" folder. The information about which bookmark was in which folder, is lost.

Any idea how this could be fixed? I'm using an up to date version of firefox 115.8.0esr.

How can I transfer my bookmarks to Chrome IN THE SAME order as I have them in my Firefox? I know how to transfer them, but I need them in the same order as I have them in Firefox

I've had this site that i have no recollection of visiting always there, pinned at the top of my search suggestions but i never bothered with it, till today when i decided to remove it.

I tried all the things i can think of and searched for a solution to no avail, any help is appreciated.

I thought I had two different accounts. Home, with my personal email and work, with my work email. My work computer crashed a few months ago, and out IT department was able to recover all my bookmarks, but it wasn't easy, so I was told. I decided to do what I do at home and that was to create an account for work, which I did. I now have an account for home with it's own bookmarks, and email, and a work account with it's own bookmarks and totally different email. I recently got a work phone. In the process of setting it up I synced it up with my work account. when I came home tonight I got online and all my work bookmarks were on my home computer. How did this happen? Now I don't have my home bookmarks. I tried signing out and signing back in with my home account, but no luck. This is very frustrating especially since they are two totally different accounts. SO, how do I get my home bookmarks back on my home computer? Thanks

I've used Firefox forever, have a lot of bookmarks, when searching bookmarks max 9 results display. Usually can finally find by adding search criteria, but getting hard to find. Is there a way to return more results in a search keywords than 9? Cannot find an option to to that. Thanks.

hello! hope you are doing well, I recently got this problem where the bookmark bar does not appear on my browser even though it is on the "always show" option, it appears when I first open the browser, but once I enter any site, it disappears again, even on new tabs, and when I try different options for the BM, it makes it appear for one use only. I tried looking for solutions on the internet but to no avail. can you help me fix it? thank you in advance!

Hi! I did a "refresh" on firefox. How do I recover my bookmarks and passwords? There is a folder on my desktop named "OLD FIREFOX DATA" but I have no clue how to use the information contained in said folder.

When I use Microsoft Edge Browser in the top row it shows my Bookmarks and to the left it also shows an icon that allows you to jump back to the Edge Browser.

In Mozilla Firefox there is no icon to take you back to the Firefox browser. Occasionally a site will Hi-Jack you and trying to use the back arrow to get back to the Browser does not work. The only solution is to shut down the Firefox browser and then restart it again.

I would rather use Firefox as it support HTML 5 audio which is not supported in Microsoft Edge.

Can you please advise.

Hi there, Trouble is never far away from windows 10, as I had (yet again) to reset my whole notebook and Firefox and cannot recover previous bookmarks, nor the side bar. I am absolutely throttled on this as all seems unresponsive. I have found a copy of old firefox but it won´t swallow it. How can I get out of this situation which catches me out everytime. keep it simple

Using the menu line, if I click Bookmark>bookmark current tab, it used to bring up a box where I could edit the tab name and location of where to save that tab. Now, in Dec 2023, it bookmarks it but does not bring up this box. In order to see where the bookmark is, I have to again select Bookmark, EDIT this bookmark. Is there a setting I need to now adjust to bring up that box when bookmarking for the first time? I have W10 and updated Firefox.

I was using Firefox on windows 10 laptop, everything was synced with my account. Now after switching to Ubuntu I can't see my bookmarks, Just an empty toolbar. Now I don't have access to my old laptop, I sold it.

Any help?

Good morning, Recently I discovered there are two maps called "Andere bladwijzers" in my Firefox browser. I deleted a submap in the second map and noticed this submap had also disappeared in the first map. Is there something I must do or can I leave these two large maps as it is? For years, I have had the Bookmark Toolbar always show on my initial page and all tabs at the top of page. Something happened and now it does not. I have tried resetting per instructions and it will show on my current page but then not show up my new tab and will disappear from the initial page. I tried a refresh to correct and that did not work either. I was able to get them to show on the left side of the screen but I much prefer them at the top and want to get back to that layout.

Many of my bookmarks are corrupted. They point to other websites, not the bookmarked one. Has anyone else had this problem? Is there a fix? Thanks for any info/advice. George
