I just installed Firefox 4.0 on my laptop with Windows XP and do not have a Firefox button.
There is not a Firefox button on the screen. Since that appears to be the beginning of all good things, I would like one.

How do I restore the menu option 'Bookmarks > Organize Bookmarks'?
It was there on the 3.6 version, but it disappeared when I upgraded to version 4.
Awaiting your response.
Thank you,

The arrows, left and right for forward and backward used to have a drop down arrow that listed all the pages so you could just hop to where you wanted to go. I used that nearly every time I used FF3. Now it is gone. Any ideas?

I got a new laptop today and in when setting it up I imported my Firefox profile from my last computer. Since I did that, the appearance in4.0 has reverted to what it looks like in 3.6.16 on the old computer. I would prefer not to delete everything and start again since there are quite a few bookmarks and the like that I use daily.
Is there a solution that I've missed? I've cleaned out my add-ons, changed the theme back to "default," and everything else I can think of, but it's still "broken." The only thing that looks "right" is that the tabs are above the address bar, and that's it.

Please advise.

I have read the explanations of ease of use by dropping the bookmarks bar and moving the tabs to the top. If that works for some then great. The nice thing about personal settings, is that they need to be for ease of use to the individual. When I follow this advice; "How do I put tabs back on bottom like they used to be?
At the top of the Firefox window, click on the Firefox button, go over to the Options... arrow and uncheck Tabs on Top. "
First, I cannot find a Firefox button, so I right click in the blank area to get options. Then I check the bookmarks bar and uncheck the tabs on top. That works until I shut off my computer. And then I have to do it all over again when I reboot.
Can I get the permanent option for these choices?
Where do I find the "recent pages" selection that used to be next to the "Back-Forward" buttons?

I have downloaded bookmarks from IE. Do I need to keep IE on my system in order to keep the bookmarks or are they now a permanent part of FF
This only happens with my laptop running windows 7. No problem with my desktop running windows vista.

In the past, I used to have an auto complete function that would take me to a website even if I didn't type the entire URL.
For example, just typing "you" in the address bar would take me to youtube without any extra searching or clicking.
I know currently the "awesome bar" is similar and shows the url, but that still needs me to click and search.

I look at a picture from a photo-site - size 11 MB. I decide to save this picture > right click > save image as.. The download window opens and FF downloads the picture once more which is already somewhere in FF's cache or memory.. I can see that data comes from the internet and not from a local place on my computer and the process can be rather slow, when the remote server is slow.. I find this as a waste of bandwidth.. Is it possible to avoid this behaviour?

In an earlier version of Firefox, if I right-clicked on a hyperlink, I would get a right-click menu that included the Properties item, which, when I click on it, would pop up a window that would give me the URL of the hyperlink, before I clicked on it. I could also copy that URL. I've installed a new version, and that right-click menu is gone, replaced by a lot of FlashGot choices, and also a Save As.. and Save for the link, neither of which actually tell me what the address is..
