On only one of my computers a "tab" is opening on its own that presents itself as being from ROGERS my ISP. I took a screen shot and captured the URL. Contacted Rogers - It is not them - They recommeded I REMOVE FIREFOX and INSTALL CHROME. I have some computer knowledge but not an expert. I tried to get rid of this by running Norton antivirus, and FIX ME STICK antivirus and I removed and then re-installed Firefox - the bogus page keep coming back. this is the page https://ivisitorapp.top/43fee1ba2ffc1ec8587395fc843ce6c5/index.html?ip=2607%3Afea8%3A9920%3Ad8e6%3A8467%3Acf0b%3Acca0%3A8171&trackid=2020011401450327 It is NOT ROGERS

Basic Infomation

Firefox Version: 72.0.1

Operating System: Windows 10

Step to reproduce

  1. create a self-signed CA certificate and server certificate for localhost;
  2. create a server which serve https service with certificate and key above;
  3. request localhost, Firefox would warn that connection is not secure, which is ok;
  4. install CA certificate to Firefox certificates store and restart Firefox;
  5. request localhost again, and Firefox trusts server's certificate, ok;
  6. delete the self-signed root CA certificate we installed just now;
  7. restart Firefox, and request localhost, Firefox still treats connection as a secure connection.

Expectation

Firefox do not trust localhost server's certificate any more.

What I see instead

Firefox still trust a server certificate signed by a CA whose certificate is deleted from Firefox's trust authorities.

Is this a cache policy which works as expectation? I wonder if there is anything I did wrong, or do I have some misunderstanding about Firefox's certificate policy.# Numbered list item

When closing multiple tabs (>2), I receive the "You are about to close x Tabs" warning, which is fine. The problem is that following that warning, an extra, unintended tab closure occurs. i.e. If I close 2 tabs, I get the warning prompt, followed by a 3rd involuntary tab closure.

Recently Firefox in Ubuntu (latest version) has started adding a ?reload after every URL and in the event that there were parameters being passed, it replaces them. For example, it gives filename.php?reload when it originally had filename.php?ID=1. Since it's doing it primarily on my development sites, it makes it very difficult to reload a page when testing.

Is it a bug or a design decision. I mean if I have a lot of opened tabs and I intend to close just one tab, then a slight delay in releasing the key combination would result in closing rest of the tabs. Shouldn't it be like Press and Release key combination to perform the corresponding action which would ensure the action is performed just once. That is what it was like on Chrome and Edge.

It's an intermittent issue but very frequent and annoying, and I think it is related to the firefox's over sensitivity to touch pad gestures. I have experienced many times whenever I intend to do a two finger scroll, the browser interprets it as adjusting zoom(which is via two finger pinch). It can't be the issue of my touchpad device / driver issue because pinch zoom and two finger scroll has worked perfectly on other browsers and apps. I haven't encountered a single case where an app interpreted my two finger scroll as a zoom action since the moment i bought this laptop. I believe it has something to do with firefox.

Fortinet (or Forticloud) all of a sudden started a couple weeks ago to deny my access to many websites when I click on the link in an article, etc. Never happened before. When I contacted Fortinet, they said maybe Firefox added this to my account. I prefer to delete this security measure. Does anyone know how? Thanks.
