I've been trying to add folders to my bookmarks menu and can't find the option to do that.

Also, how do I add directly to a folder. As of now, I have to add it as a loose bookmarked item, then click and drag to a folder.

After upgrading Firefox on about the 9th of November, I lost the bookmark list that I had before, and could access from my home page. Now it does not appear there. When I follow the directions on your mozillazine.org help page, I am told to search for a profile folder that does not exist with this version.

There is nothing more that I can add. The question stays as above.

This never happened with the older versions of FF...

installed new hard drive two months ago - just now reinstalling Firefox -- installed new version 8 -- need to know where my old bookmarks would be stored (what file and where)

I am trying to install named folders on my home page to store groups of favorite bookmarks, for example, Astronomy Folder, etc. I had them before I updated to Firefox 8, I must be doing something wrong because as much as I try I cannot find a way of reproducing them again. Kind Regards,

How can I edit/re-name files and bookmarks in bookmarks list. Like in IE, I want to be able to re-name, edit and organise files and bookmarks in the bookmarks list. In Mozilla, if I right-click on a file in the list, it does not give me the option to Re-Name!! (an omission?) Regards, Paul

you took a way everything that i like and understood. where my cookies? where is the tools? I don't want to learn all over. Just want to delete the the new and go back to what i know

Why has it suddenly happened that whenever I go on Firefox the screen is clogged up with websites I have been onto in the last hours, and they will not clear and will not allow me to get back to my bbc home website without difficulty

Using Windows XP. This afternoon that folder existed. I went online a few minutes ago and it is gone. I went through the Backup and Restore process but most of those book marks are very recent. The forty or fifty I lost weren't restore-able. No idea why this sudden drastic change.

I followed the instructions for importing from another browser, but when I get to the point that should allow me to import the IE favorites, Foxfire displays the function, but it is in light print and does not allow me to select that function. I'm not interested in reentering all the sites in Foxfire's Bookmarks.

I am trying to transfer my passwords and login details from FF3.6 on my old PC with XP to FF 9.01 on my new PC with Win 7. I have done this before with older versions and XP to XP but not with 9.01 which seems to have a different file structure. Maybe I am wrong but not wanting to screw my PC I thought it better to ask first!

I've done this before, but now I can't even find an export function. I am on version 9.0.1 on Windows 7. Has this capability been eliminated? I don't want to sync, as I won't be using the old computer any more, and I don't want all of my information out on someone else's server, no matter how secure it's supposed to be. Help?
