I want to stop yahoo e-mail from popping up in the lower corner of the screen

I really need to know how to BLOCK "Trojan Detected"/you have a virus/You Are Infected" NOTIFICATIONS ON MY LAPTOP

I do not receive a notification or sound when a new email arrives, even though it is set to do so in GMAIL's settings and I do receive it in EDGE.
