for some reason netflix shows a black screen when watching movies. this just started happening. it works if i go into troubleshooting mode. i have no extensions running. i reinstalled the browser. i reset the browser settings. i tried everything that your web site suggests but i have no idea what is causing this to happen.

I started using Firefox a few months ago after the new Profile Manager was introduced. Created a bunch of profiles and setup everything the way that I want. Now I started using another PC and want to replicate my setup on it. I thought Sync would be able to do this but it just copied over one profile and it also didn't copy over my Shortcut configuration. Is there a way to duplicate the way Firefox is setup on one PC to another PC, down to every detail? Thanks!

Yesterday (8/19/2025) I updated to Firefox v. 142 from v. 141.0.3. The Firefox update was the last thing I did prior to shutting down my computer. Today, when I booted up with version 142.0 many of my bookmarked websites don't work. I am using a iMac Retina 5k, 27-inch, late 2015 desktop computer using macOS Monterey v. 12.7.6

I called Apple tech department & explained my problem (see above). He had me delete the cookies for Firefox to see if that would correct the problems. It did NOT resolve the problems. He had me switch to Safari browser to see if I could the access the websites with which I was unable to access. I was able to do so. He stated that the problem was with Firefox and that he could NOT help me any further.

I have NOT used Safari for a decade or more and am NOT familiar with it because I found Firefox to be much better and easier to use. Until yesterday, I had NO problems. Now I am desperate to be able to continue to use Firefox but can't access important sites that had been available until the 142 upgrade. HELP, PLEASE

Hi Folks, When I open a particular web site and click login Firefox shows/suggests use of my actual username. I'd like that to NOT happen (i.e. show nothing) for that (or a few) web sites. Upgraded to FF 142.0 and don't have the Link Preview that was described in the new release info. You can now see what’s behind a link before visiting it with Link Previews. Long press a link (or right-click and choose Preview Link). Previews can optionally include AI-generated key points, which are processed on your device to protect your privacy. Long press does nothing and right click on link doesn't have a preview option. I am using Windows 10 which is current and 64 bit. Don't really care all that much, but they said it was there for EN version and it isn't.

Recently the audio is only coming out of the left side in videos I uploaded from my iPhone. This does not happen in Safari or Chrome where the audio is perfect, only in Firefox for the Mac. I've gone through the usual troubleshooting methods like opening in safe mode, clearing the cookies and cache, checking settings, etc and can't seem to fix this. Can you help? Thank you, Larry

I have several GoHighLevel form, when autofilling the form it stops the browser from doing anything. This happens on Mac and PC. I even tried it in Private tab, tried changing input fields, and same thing happens. Besides turning autofill off is there anything else I can do?

Yesterday, I set the audio source using a special screen that can only be accessed by right-clicking with the mouse in the browser, and now I can't undo it. I'm having trouble because the special screen doesn't appear even when I perform the same operation. Receiving the following error code when trying to go to my bank site: www.fnb.co.za. This started after the last Windows Update. I have no problem going to the site using other Internet Browsers. This just happens on FireFox: Error code: SSL_ERROR_RX_RECORD_TOO_LONG

I have had this problem for many years now. When I complete a customer journey on some sites, usually with a payment involved, the final submit button doesn't work at all, and I have to redo the transaction on Chrome.

This happened yesterday on Ryanair's site and, by the time I gave up and redid the journey on Chrome, certain prices went up. So, now I'm losing money :-(

Firefox has been my default browser for a decade or more, despite my husband's teasing me about this issue, but I might have to give up and make the switch to Chrome or Edge. Please help!

Please note that Firefox clears my cookies every time I close my browser.

A few websites for the past month don't work for me on Firefox (WIn10), but work on Firefox Focus (iOS), Edge (Win10), Safari (iOS), etc.

I think maybe it's a configuration issue or a corrupted file or something. I don't have strict tracking protection on, and tried the troubleshooting mode. Or are some sites blocking Firefox Desktop in particular?

Hi, I am trying to login to a retirement account that Firefox/Mozilla is blocking. The site works on another browser, but, since I like to use Firefox exclusively for online work, I would really like to access the login there. Any suggestions? work arounds? I get an access denied ERROR 15 "This request was blocked by our security service" instead of the login. Since this site is a retirement account site, I cannot give more info.

I recently switched from Chrome to Firefox and really enjoy using the Fullscreen Mode (F11) while browing Websites, since I hide my taskbar in Windows, hiding the Browsers own taskbar makes for a really immersive browsing experience.

Only problem I've happend upon is, that when Fullscreen Mode is enabled, my automatically hiding Taskbar does not want to appear when being moused over. This is logical behavior and I understand why it does that, but is there some way to change this behavior in the backend of the software?

My DSL router is at 192.168.0.1. Every time I log in to the admin account from another 192.168 box, Firefox balks because the router uses an evil self-signed certificate from the manufacturer. Is there any way to accept the "risk" permanently? It is an impediment to productivity having to wade through banners proudly proclaiming how dangerous my router is among warning messages and do you really want to ignore our safety warnings and corrupt your system you stupid user who, after decades of experience, cannot decide for yourself if your router is clickbait full of trojans and viruses that don't work on Linux systems anyway. Go bother Windows users with such utter nonsense. I don't need your Windows safety wheels. Solution: provide a way to turn off the miasma in about:config, safely hidden from naive Windows folk, for 192.168 networks.
