I want replace firefox Windows Mozilla MSIX 1- 0 package browser from ms store with regular downloaded version but I do not want to lose all my settings.

How do I go about this?

i have been using Tor.browser as my default web browser on Macbook for months. Firefox is my 2nd, but two days ago, i was kicked out of Tor, cannot download/use it anymore and the reasons given are as follows:

"Tor.browser quit unexpectedly. Click Reopen to open the application again. Click Report to see more detailed information." Ignore Report Reopen (options)

when i have deleted and tried to re-install tor browser, I get the notification that

"Tor Browser quit unexpectedly". No matter what I do

 (I have since done both, obviously & have tried many other things, including trying to Time Travel, which I am not 100% sure how to yet).  the Report states Firefox is responsible for blocking Tor.  how did this happen and suggestions on how to fix.  I have to access Tor to find some pertinent files etc. I have stored there.  thanks

I use Using Video Download Ultimate add on in Firefox. It works great on most websites, but it will not connect and download from "https://yeahmovies.to/home" or "https://ww5.cmovies.co/movies/". Will you rectify this, or teach a work around to me?

I upgraded from 126.0.1 to 127 today. Upon update, all my windows are gone. The only way I could access them is to revert to an older profile backup and reinstall 126.0.1.

I tried exporting my session with Tab Session Manager in 126.0.1 and reopen them in 127, but that only restores the last tab of each window (oddly). The json clearly lists 3 windows each with multiple tabs. I tried copying the sessionstore-backups folder, but no dice.

I have chosen to not auto-update the browser because it interferes with my work. The precise setting is called "Allow Firefox to" "Check for updates but let you choose to install them" (screenshot attached). However, this setting is not honoured. Every month, the browser auto-updates and forces a browser restart for me to continue working (screenshot attached). For 126->127, there was in fact no notification to update and the update happened automatically in the background with a restart forced upon me. What's the point of having this setting if it's not going to be honoured?

Hi, I‘m not sure if I selected the right topic for my question but I can‘t find an answer to my query anywhere, so here goes:

When I opened Firefox on my Mac today (all up-to-date), a pop-up request by Firefox (cf. attached picture) showed up: "Firefox needs to download the font "Weibei SC". "Weibei SC" is 17,4 MB." with the options "Skip" and "Download".

Puzzled by this odd request, I wanted to skip it, but anytime I clicked skip the window would pop up again. I never clicked on download and I actually closed and reopened the browser, without having it show up again. I even restarted my device and reopened Firefox but it didn‘t show up again.

Now, I want ro believe that there is nothing to worry about, that it was a software blunder of some sort and that maybe normally it just installs fonts in the background without me knowing. But for the sake of my own peace of mind, I‘d feel more comfortable if someone who knows the software better than I do, explain to me what this was or might have been, and hopefully that it was nothing harmful.

I had the situation maybe a year ago. I use the Firefox profile manager.

I just updated to 127.02, and now not I'm getting this because for whatever reason, since the update, I am somehow on the beta channel, but only with this profile. I just opened two other profiles, and neither is on the beta channel, although i don't know what "Firefox is being updated by another instance" means.

I don't know if it's just a coincidence, but I'm also just noticing that a number of my addons settings have reverted to default.
