I have a problem that I cannot resolve for months. I'm always listening to YouTube I'm listening music while I'm working or I'm doing task on Firefox I used to have no problem I just Open YouTube and let it play on auto play and it goes no matter what. About 6 months ago I started to experiment some problems the video stop all the time even if I have a playlist going on like 50 song one after another it will stop once in a while for no reason. It pissed me off so much that I have to change my browser by default and I don't like other browser I use always Firefox with DuckDuckGo so when I'm trap to use other browser I get mad the only one that functions very good it's on edge Microsoft and seriously I cannot stand this… I'm forced to use YouTube only on edge it's the only place that it works no matter what it never stop. It used to be a little arrow in the bottom of the screen, a button that you can click on and off to Auto play or not, this button disappear it's not even there no more. This button Auto Play it's not there in Edge or Google Chrome but YouTube works for them not for Firefox so what is the problem it's not the setting is it YouTube that's got problem with Firefox? I don't know, it must be a way, a back door because I need to go back with Firefox I need to go back with DuckDuckGo. I'm pissed because I have to leave just because of that and that it's no compromise for me my music will pass before everything else. I don't feel like asking question to the community because it takes months before they answer you if they do. It's no customer service for Firefox or Mozilla whatsoever they don't answer you they don't talk to you they don't fucking care and this is another thing that pisses me off because they have a good thing going on but they don't care about the people. This was, this is what I did so far: Disable Hardware Acceleration "Performance" section.

I unchecked "Use recommended performance settings."

I unchecked "Use hardware acceleration when available." Clear Cache and Cookies I cleared the cache and cookies preferences privacy: Under "Cookies and Site Data," I clicked on "Clear Data."

Extensions about:addons I disabled all extensions to see if the problem persists… nothing happen YouTube I used YouTube in a Private Window … nothing happen YouTube Playback Settings I changed the video quality … nothing happen

Developer Tools for Network Throttling Maby using the developer tools, I can check for network issues? I didn’t try yet Reset Firefox I Refresh Firefox to restore it to its default state… nothing happen I uninstalled it and clean the registry. I reinstalled it. …nothing happen I ensure that you I’m using the latest version of Firefox: Yes My laptop specifications: Device specifications Device name: Fatcatbasse Processor: AMD Ryzen 7 5800H with Radeon Graphics 3.20 GHz Installed RAM: 64.0 GB (63.4 GB usable) Device ID: 8EDED38D-1047-40B4-8AIF-C2361C5E5841 Product ID: 00330-80000-OOOOO-AA797 System type: 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor Pen and touch: No pen or touch input is available for this display

Graphics Drivers I ensure that my graphics drivers are up to date. They are Testing Other Browsers I already mentioned that Edge works well Google Chrome also So you got an idea what I can do maybe shooting with a gun on the computer? Maybe pouring bleach or fuel on the keyboard? Maybe that work.

I have been having a problem the last 2 weeks. When ob certain pages my browser will suddenly jump to the top, or near the top, of the page. I have mostly noticed it on Walmart when i try to click on the add button or if i remove an item from my cart. It happens on a few other places like Barns and Nobles . Anyone else having this problem? Cant be sure but i first noticed it after one of the last updates. I have tried running my browser in safe mode and disabled all extensions and add-ons but still does the same thing. click and and page jumps to top. click on an item to look at it and the page goes all the way to the bottom.

When signing in to online Shaw Webmail, message says 'Security Check Failed. Clear your browser cache and retry'. Screenshot attached. Have done so in "Clear browsing and data history", (as per Firefox guidelines) multiple times, for all History and cache. Did not resolve issue. Contacted Shaw Support; they instructed to try logging in with Chrome browser. Worked fine. Issue appears to be strictly with Firefox Browser (on multiple devices). I prefer Firefox over Chrome. Any advice greatly appreciated.

I have no ability to connect to the IRS.gov account log in page. When attempting to do so, the link reverts to a maintenance page, with the hopeful message: "We apologize but there seems to be an issue completing your request. Please try again in a few minutes." An error URL is also attached.

Error from: https://sa.www4.irs.gov/sso/?resumePath=%2Fas%2FfuB6lQpSku%2Fresume%2Fas%2Fauthorization.ping&allowInteraction=true&reauth=false&connectionId=SADIPACLIENT&vnd_pi_requested_resource=https%3A%2F%2Fsa.www4.irs.gov%2Fola%2F&vnd_pi_application_name=OLA Reference ID:

This is not a new problem and has been ongoing for over a year. I have found several messages in the Mozilla support system describing the exact same problem from different users. There does not seem to be a fix that has been found. The information that I have found regarding the IRS website does not suggest that it will only work with Chrome or Chrome based browsers. But I can easily use the site with Edge.

There are several sites that I am unable to access with Firefox that force me to use Edge. I understand that Firefox has its security idiosyncrasies. But As this number climbs, and to include what are public facing government sites, a question I will soon ask is why use the Fireofox browser?

The errors I get are kind of all over the place though. I've completely deleted and reinstalled Firefox, and removed all extensions too.

It will loop to the login screen over and over, or I get the message 'An error has happened, try again later'...

I used the browser console and didn't get anything that seemed usable. I use Strava nearly every day so I'm having to use Safari. And this issue is on all of the mac and Windows systems I use. 'Troubleshooting Mode' didn't work either.

As I wrote earlier, the problem started with version 138.0.4. and is still ongoing! Uploading videos works with other browsers! I am waiting for the problem to be solved! If I wrote my letter in the wrong place, please forward it to the authorities! At the moment I could write a letter here, I can't really find a topic where this would be discussed! My OS Win10 64 bit. Thank you!

Firefox DevTools showing inconsistent behavior with scroll-linked animations using ViewTimeline API

Hi everyone,

We’re testing scroll-linked animations on a landing page built with Tailwind and custom JS for our client project hosted at https://noveltyads.com. Specifically, we’re exploring the ViewTimeline API and CSS animation-timeline for a horizontal scroll section.

While everything works smoothly in Chromium-based browsers, we’ve noticed Firefox behaves inconsistently in the following ways:

The animation-timeline: view() property doesn’t always trigger on scroll as expected.

Debugging with Firefox DevTools, the animations don’t appear in the Animation panel at all.

We confirmed that no polyfills or fallbacks are interfering.

This is happening on a custom-built section on this live test page: https://noveltyads.com (it’s a mock client version for internal QA — nothing behind a paywall or login).

Has anyone experienced similar behavior with Firefox’s scroll-driven animations or ViewTimeline implementation?

We’d love to know:

Whether Firefox fully supports ViewTimeline (or still considers it experimental)

Any DevTools flags or settings needed to see scroll animations properly

If there's a better way to ensure cross-browser consistency using native APIs

Thanks a lot for your help and insights!

Hello,

I'm facing an issue where my microphone does not work in Google Meet when using Firefox, even though I’ve granted all necessary permissions. This problem is specific to Firefox, as the microphone works perfectly fine in Google Chrome.

I prefer using Firefox because of its convenient screenshot features, but this microphone issue has caused major inconvenience during important meetings.

Kindly help me resolve this issue.

Thank you.
