I have Firefox's New Tab set as my home page, since I'm choosing to divorce myself from political doomscrolling for the next four years. The New Tab page is perfect for having frequently visited sites at the top, Pocket stories I can curate in the middle, and what used to be a history of articles and sites I've read most recently in "Recent Activity" along the bottom. Within the last few days, "Recent Activity" has been blank, and will no longer keep track of articles I've recently read. I've tried clearing the browser history and cookies, and it came back for a moment, but quickly went back to being blank. And the major downside to clearing the browser is that my four rows of most frequently visited sites gets wiped clean also, and I have to spend time getting them back on the list. I do not have Firefox set to automatically clear history upon closing it. I've tried turning "Recent Activity" off and on with the page's Settings (cog in the bottom right corner). I'd really like to have this back, as it can help me find recently read content (especially Pocket content) easier than wading through the History log. Any help would be appreciated.

Running Firefox 133.0.3 on Windows 10 22H2

The last week or so, when I try to download my photos from iCloud, Firefox blocks the download, saying it contains a virus or malware. Of course it does not - it's a zip file of screenshots! Running a scan on the folder once unzipped confirms there is nothing malicious in it. Can you fix that please?

Hello, I am suffering from an odd issue when using twitch.tv. In short, when viewing peoples streams, my video feed will usually turn into colorful static (aka "clown vomit"). I suspect that the issue is coming from Firefox, but I can't be certain. I am using a newly-bought laptop and the issue could be caused by a large number of things, theoretically. Here is what I know:

• When viewing on twitch.tv with quality 360p or higher, the video feed will usually (95%) become colorful static within 1 minute or less. When this happens, the video feed does not ever recover until page is refreshed or quality is changed. (I know a bit about video encoding, so this seems extremely odd to me, if it were due to a networking thing that lost some packets, a full-image frame should come alone sooner or later and fix things, but that never seems to happen)
• The video feed is far less likely to become corrupted when viewing at 160p, but can still happen.
• The ads may become corrupted in the same way that the main video feed can.
• When the feed is corrupted, the rest of the Twitch interface (pause/play, volume, quality select) is extremely laggy.
• When the feed is corrupted, if I pause the stream, sometimes the paused corrupted image is not completely stationary! There will be flickering in small portions of the image, looking similar to texture fighting in 3d rendering, flickering between two equally-but-differently corrupted versions of the image
• The issue never appears when using Chrome to watch twitch.tv. This is what makes me think Firefox is the culprit, not Twitch or networking or graphics drivers.
• Disabling my browser addons does not help.
• Private browsing window does not help.
• Clearing my browser cache does not help.
• I have had the issue happen on Youtube exactly once in 2 weeks, not sure if that's related or not, I think it was a normal "lost some network traffic but fixed itself the next time a full frame was received" thing.
• Video live streams on Youtube don't get corrupted the way they do on Twitch.

Can someone please give me advice for how to fix this? Has anyone seen anything like this before? Is there a way for me to get deeper under the hood of either Twitch or Firefox and more closely debug the video stream when it fails?

When a tab is opened or moved into a new window (image 2.png), the additional windows will disappear from the Windows taskbar after a few moments (image 3.png) and cannot be accessed via Alt+Tab, the only way to reach that window is via dragging the windows around or with the Firefox View tab.

Recently I have been unable to log into Reddit. Firefox is up to date, cookies and cache has been cleared, ublock origin has been disabled, still doesn't work. I can click 'Log In', enter my username and password, and then it is impossible for me to click the Log In button to advance. Left clicking the button, pressing enter, pressing tab until it is highlighted then pressing space, none of these work. I can open Edge and log in no problem. What do I need to do to fix this?

Click on bookmarks, the drop-down menu appears, click or move cursor on an entry in the list, the new drop-down-menu of 2nd level appears. If the list contains many entries the 2nd level drop-down menu overrides 1st level. This does not happen with firefox preceding version. Note: attaching a picture because a webm video is not accepted.

Hi, I have been experiencing issues lately with Firefox. Attempting to install it often comes up with errors suggesting file corruption but I eventually got it to install. However, now it crashes as soon as I open it and in the past before a system reboot on my PC, Firefox tabs crashed very often. I'm trying to diagnose the issue. I have completely uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox multiple times.

As my laptop is currently experiencing other issues, if there's a specific driver that is causing trouble, it'd be great to figure out what's wrong and what is causing Firefox to not function.

My specs are: Asus Rog Strix G614JIR - (GPU: 4070RTX, CPU: IntelCore i9, SSD 1TB, 32GB RAM).

I have a HUGE problem with Firefox memory usage. Some open instances of firefox are taking anywhere from 600mb to 2.8gb of memory. Since firefox opens MANY instances even with only ONE active window, this very quickly uses all available memory (4gb) causing a full laptop crash.

More concerning is that CLOSING the worst instance of memory usage STILL leaves the single open page/tab open, so what exactly was the memory eating instance actually doing ???

I have included a screengrab of the many remaining instances of firefox in windows task manager AFTER closing the main culprit.

I have also included a screengrab of all the adblockers I use which I believed would limit unnecessary memory usage, but does not seem to be effective.

A video of what is happening . This only happens when I search something up, for example, if I search more than one thing up on Pinterest, Google and sometimes Youtube . . . I'm sure it's not related to any extensions, the only one I installed recently was Privacy Possum, but after noticing this issue I deleted it and it didn't resolve the issue.

Hello! from this morning and alongside a new Firefox update i've been having graphical artifacts on Youtube/Facebook/Netflix. I've followed all the standard steps.

Disabled Hardware Acceleration. Updated Video Drives. Run FF in Safe Mode without plugins. Disabled Router level VPN and Ghostery.

Any ideas?

I'm running FF135.0 Geforce 572.16 Drives (30th Jan) 3070TI. Windows 10 Pro 22H2.

Used to work, and does work in the regular version of the desktop app, but no longer works in the beta for desktop 135.0b9, says: "Could not load the image"

Hi, I have an HTML page - currently on the desktop PC - that contains a few graphics (they relate to IPA sounds) and a bit of javascript which will make the sounds play when the user mouses-over the graphic, and stop on mouse-out. The script uses <embed> tags. I know these arent favoured but I think they should still work, as they have in the past, so the script itself is fine. But there is no sound (obviously I have checked the src is correct and made sure the speakers are on and working. They are.) W10, FF ver 128.6.0esr (64-bit)

This code in mozilla.cfg used to overwrite new tab, but as of latest firefox 136.0b1 no longer works. Any way to fix this? There error in Browser Console.

I use Mozilla Firefox, and I’m facing an issue. The Jack in the Box Jack in the Box website is not opening, but it works fine on other browsers. Has anyone else experienced this problem? Any solutions to fix it?

I use the IRS form filler to pay my taxes...have for years with Firefox browser. This year (for 2024 return) when I sign into the site the 1040 form does not display correctly. the boxes are to the right and below the actual placement. I emailed IRS who said it is a setting in Firefox. I tried the site using Microsoft EDGE and it displays correctly. I have searched for possible solutions and tried them all like using/on and off excelerator, letting Firefox chose size and colors of sites, turned off Noton etc. I posted another question here but no replies or looks so maybe I did something wrong so I will try to post again. I have W10 fully updated and Firefox too up to date. I understand I could use Edge but never had to and prefer to use Firefox as I have before. any suggestions would be appreciated or where I can report a possible issue with Firefox. I did a clean install of Windows 10 on a larger SSD for my laptop. After installing my Bitdefender AV and firewall software I installed Firefox latest version. I cannot login to sync my account. My email address keeps getting rejected with the message: “Mistyped email? *name@domain*.com does not offer email”. It is the same email that I have used to sync Firefox across all my devices and Win 10 PC’s. It is a domain we bought or registered for a private email service. It is the same email I used to create this account using Firefox on my iPad to make this bug report. Firefox is allowed thru the firewall, but many Windows sub programs are not. I did reboot several times after install with the same result. Currently not running any extensions as I haven’t tried to install them without sync. Is there some windows service or sub program I need to unblock? Never had this issue on any other device or PC when trying to sync. Any suggestions appreciated thanks!

Since Friday i cannot log into my Quickbooks account using Firefox. All other browers work fine when trying to log in. My default browser is Firefox. SO this is totally frustrating.
