I have Windows 10. I have a current subscription to McAfee through Time Warner Cable and I downloaded "Malwarebytes Anti-Malware" I don't stray from Yahoo, Outlook,Aol and a few shopping websites. I did however download "My Turbo PC" to try to solve my browser freezing but I didn't buy the unlock key. My "spyware" "malware" or "virus" problem didn't start until "My Turbo PC".

Can anyone please help me get the unwanted program off of my computer please?

I'm using Firefox 47.0 and this is the second time I've been on a normal site (this time was walmart.com) that the screen turns into an ad for Firefox and a pop-up comes up asking me to save the file for "firefox-patch.js" The rest of the pop-up says "javaScript File (609 bytes) from oazeispettegola.net" I have malwarebytes and Norton installed on my computer, and neither scan shows anything. I'm guessing it's not an actual JavaScript installation, so if anyone has experienced this and can help me out, I'd really appreciate it.

The latest version of Firefox 51.0.1 does not display the login screen for htaccess protected folders for my website. I've cleared the cache, cookies and browser history and the website is in the block pop-up window exceptions list.

I do a search and a black screen with white font appears blocking me and claims you must be 18+ and I already claimed that earlier with safesearch off. I think this is a virus of some kind and wondering how to get rid of it. Have you heard of this happening? I look in Control Panel under programs to uninstall and don't find it there. What can I do?

Happens with both flash and youtube videos. I have:

- Run a full system scan with AVAST (it found 2 items which I deleted). - Refreshed firefox - Reinstalled firefox - Run in safe mode - and the problem seemed to disappear, although I only tried one short video. - Checked add-ons and extensions. The only ones always running are OpenH264, content decryption by Adobe, and content decryption by google. Flash is on "ask to activate." - Turned off hardware acceleration - Played videos in Chrome, which is I just installed. (It seems to work, but I hate Chrome.)

The problem seemed to have started when I got halfway through installing the video conversion program SUPER, then backed out of the installation. The program did say that it would install toolbars - could it have installed something even though I didn't finish the installation? I don't see any extra extensions or strange processes running.

I rebooted my computer last night, when I opened firefox afterwards, it just hangs. I cannot open a web page, I cannot open options, my book marks do not show up until I deselect the option to show, then enable, but nothing loads. I cannot close firefox unless I go into task manager to end it. I have sent 2 bug reports under this email address. I cannot open in safe mode by holding shift and clicking but was able to under the ? menu. No change in safe mode, just continuously loads.

I.E. and all other internet based programs work just fine.

Windows 10 pro AMD 6300 6 core processor 16GB RAM 64 bit OS Norton 360 (have had on and not changed for years).

Let me know what other information could help.

I keep getting the message of a malicious site blocked when using Firefox on a Yahoo group tab. Here's an example of the report I get. Always comes from the same site and IP address but different port no.

Is this a legitimate site? If not, how do I get rid of it?

Hiya everyone, Well I got a virus today from a file that should of been safe? Anyways I have lost ALL my bookmarks and uninstalled-installed FF, Checked the APPDATA for them and the only file thats large in there is a file titled PROFILE which has a "Folder" and it has in it another file called CACHE2 and then when I go in there it has a Folder with just over a gig of files which must be my bookmarks but they are not in a JSON format or any readable file they are just "Files".

Can anyone help please as I have lost a lot of valuable bookmarks.

For the last several days McAfee has blocked the following IP address 52.216.241.14 as being suspicious. When I Google searched this IP address FF lit up with a red warning message. What's up with this address? Also, is there a better forum to get more information about this address? Thanks

Out of the blue I received a message stating I was being attacked on my Mac by software that maybe Ransomware. I was asked to close and delete the files.

I run Mac Os 10.14.6 and have never had any previous problems. After quarantining these files I quit Firefox and then could not open it. I therefore deleted the .app and reinstalled Firefox 75. I can only start up Firefox by using the Terminal Command window using the Profile manager. I created a new profile but cannot see my old profile within the Profile Manager. I can find the old profile under Profile's in Application Support/Users. So despite having a new default set created, I still cannot get the Firefox.app to open by clicking on it. I have now deleted the old profile and still cannot open the Firefox app from the dock or applications folder.

I could never find out why I got the message "Ransomware may be trying to access my computer", except two files have appeared in my bin; Edgar Poe Murder and Righteous Games.

I have a macbook pro retina 13 (2013) and downloaded Mackeeper hoping it would clean my computer... A technician went to my computer erased all my notes in the Notes app and my firefox content: history and bookmarks, and then left without saying anything. I dont have a back up of it and don't have a firefox profile neither. How can i get those data back?? Help!!

ps. i later did some researchs about mackeeper and found out that is a was a scam, a very huge scam! Don't ever download it.

Hello, When i start firefox it crashes imidiatly, i looked at the help page but i cant activate the safe mode or something else cause i cant get into firefox. I removed it and reinstalled it but the crash keeps on comming. Yesterday i shut down my computer with everything working and today i booted it up and it crashes, no updates done. I am using the latest version of mozilla firefox 34.0.5

While browsing, get a Malwarebytes popup stating that Malcious Website Blocked. It provides the following information: domain name, IP address, and port - each of these change with every pop-up type - outbound process - c:\Program Files(x86)\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe

I've run security scans from Norton and Malwarebytes and neither has identified any issue. How do I resolve this issue and ensure that my laptop doesn't have a virus?

I deleated firefox and reinstalled it and the same thing happends! firefox is so messed up it would not let me connect to the mozilla web site for help, only after I used combofix was I able to connect to the web site. updater.ext is always running firefox is broken, broken, broken!

Browsing with Firefox takes my pc to hostingcloud.science infected with JS:Miner [trj] I have worked with Malwarebytes Support to get rid of it, to no avail, unless I use a vpn with Avast. I have seen this exploit discussed by other users. When will Firefox find a solution? I have reinstalled, cleaned, scanned, etc to no avail. the only thing that is currentlyl working is using Avast vpn browsing from a different country than my own. Please help, thanks

I have the latest firefox, but it keeps launching all by itself when my computer starts showing the website in the screenshot...

Please note that I have windows 10, and dont have any software installed that might have caused this...

I also scanned my system using several anti spyware and antiviruses but nothing was found...

when i open my browser, in addtion to my homepage i alwaz get another web page that opens up saying "compare travel sites" mozilla firefox then it has all tabs to open saying expedia and trip advisor and trivago and so on.......... how do i get rid of this exactly and keep in mind i`m old and NOT computer savvy:) thnx oh and i`am using version 64.0
