When I used to click on a PDF file, it would automatically open in my default PDF viewer. Now it askes me to save even though I have set in preferences that PDF should be opened automatically with my PDF viewer.

Now I have to wait for it download, then click on it again. I do not want these files saved permanently, they should save to the %temp% directory and be automatically opened in the default program. Please tell me what I need to do to get this working again.

Thank you!

I have version 19,0,0,226 of flash player installed. Shockwave 19.0 r0, and shockwave for director version 12.2 plug ins are installed and set to always activate. I have tried firefox 40 and 41 and it will not work with either version. (I went back to 40 until the Norton toolbar will work with 41.) If I right click on a shockwave video I do not get any information concerning shockwave. It is working on Internet Explorer. I did unistall using Shockwaves unistall program, rebooted and reinstalled and that did not solve the problem either. Start firefox in safe mode keeping shockwave active does not help either. Any suggestions?

Hello everyone, I am having this problem where the audio is delayed by approximately 300ms, I've tested and noticed that on Youtube videos. I am using Firefox version 40.0.3, but this problem occurred a couple of versions ago. As a reference, please see this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bCPEidaVzQU (BBC HD audio sync test ) When watching this on Firefox with HTML5 and I pause when the sound appears, its usually on 3 (audio late). When I use Firefox with the YouTube™ Flash® Player 1.4.0 add-on or on Google Chrome with HTML5 I get 0 (no delay). Steps I tried so far: - Restarting Firefox in safe mode and add-ons disabled (HTML5 audio still delayed) - Creating a brand new user profile (HTML5 audio still delayed) - Reinstalled Firefox (HTML5 audio still delayed) - Options -> Advanced -> check/uncheck "Use hardware acceleration when available" (HTML5 audio still delayed)

I have browsed the forum and found some people having a somewhat similar issue, where everything starts normally but a couple of minutes in the video, audio starts to desynchronize. I do not have that problem, my audio is always delayed with those 300ms and the delay stays the same. Usually it's not a big deal, but when watching someone talk directly, it gets really bothersome. If anyone can help me out with some advice, I would really appreciate it.

Releth

P.S. I found this reddit post https://www.reddit.com/r/firefox/comments/39mrox/firefox_html5_audio_delay/ seems other people have the exact same issue too.

With Windows 10, I had a horizontal bar at the top that held tabs I wanted to use regularly. That entire horizontal bar of tabs is gone, along with the button to reveal the overflow tabs (that had no room on the horizontal bar).

First - What did I do to lose that entire bar, and Second why is it so amazingly difficult to bring it back??? I don't know about Tab Groups. I'm not interested in that at this time.

Your new "signed apps" will not allow use of unsigned after version 41. This will not allow Epson's "E-Web Print" app at present, and description says you will disable rather than allow me to assume risk. I love Firefox, but will not trash my new Epson printer - so will be forced to use another browser. Will you ALLOW users to assume risk for non-signed apps for a longer period, so such exclusions do not occur for those willing to assume risk?

When I bring up (say) a magazine article in my browser and wish to print it for future reference, the print preview and printed image "lose" lines of text between pages when compared with the original image in the browser. For example: check this link: http://www.pcauthority.com.au/Feature/408318,how-to-make-windows-admin-easy-with-powershell.aspx?eid=2&edate=20150828&utm_source=20150828&utm_medium=newsletter&utm_campaign=weekly_newsletter&nl=weekly then select "print"from the menu. The print preview that appears - whether displayed in portrait or landscape - loses one or two lines of text so the print version can wind up useless. Where does the missing text go? the pagination is not identical and Firefox seems unable to handle it.

I'm using an HP desk top with Intel i7 CPU 8GB of RAM and Win 7 Pro SP1. Firefox is V40.0.3

I have firefox 40.0.3 freshly installed on Archlinux with Plasma 5. I like the firefox PDF viewer and would love to continue using it. the problem happens after downloading the pdf (using the download icon in the viewer for example). I click on the "Downloads List" and click on the file, then firefox opens the PDF with Inkscape ! Please note that in the application settings in preferences I have selected "Preview in firefox" So to my understanding the behavior should be 1) Use the Firefox PDF viewer 2) In case the file is downloaded and opened from firefox, use the default application but I can't select the default application, nor does firefox choose the right one --- and that is the problem

Firefox's default application for opening PDF is Inkscape. I added Okular Manually, it didn't help because I couldn't set it to (default)

I tried removing Inkscape but firefox chose to go with Krita as default despite it not being in the options before removing inkscape. I looked everywhere for a way to select what the default application should be, but couldn't find a way to do so.

Is this a bug, or am I missing something. This is really driving me crazy ! because now I have to "open containing folder and open the file using the file manager (Dolphin in my case).

Thanks in advance for the help.

There was a power blackout today while I was booting up Firefox and the computer shut down instantly. Later, when I tried to open Firefox again, it started glitching out, with the Restore Session option only resulting in empty tabs. I refreshed Firefox and now I have a 'Old Firefox Data' folder.

I have a sessionrestore-backups folder in that folder, with a 'previous.js' file. How do I use this file (or any of the others in the folder) to gain access to my lost session? Is it possible at all?

Thanks for any and all help.

Hi - I want to get some screenshots of the pop-up blocker activating in Firefox, but even though I am visiting a website where Pop-ups are blocked, it only very briefly shows the warning and then disappears. I want it to display properly so I can screen-grab it and show my users how to allow pop-ups for a particular site (without them going into settings and doing it manually).

Any ideas how i can re-enable the pop-up blocker warnings?

I have looked at a couple of settings in about:config, but they seem to imply it is active:

browser.popups.showPopupBlocker;true privacy.popups.showBrowserMessage;true
