Had the line

.tab-close-button:not([pinned="true"]) { display: -moz-box !important; }

On 112, I had my css set up to make the status bar hidden and only show the url path when I moused over it in the lower left corner of the window. It also cut itself short to only the length of the url similar to the www.wikipedia.org box in the attached picture. After upgrading to 113, my browser has this black bar at the bottom. When I cleared out my css file, urls would show up in the bar when I moused over them. I've tried a few different css fixes but none of them will get it back to how I had it working in 112. The picture attached is what I'm getting in 113 right now with the css below. the black bar below the mouse over url goes all the way across the window and is always visible. Here is my current css file:

I have a website that open pop-ups automatically using javascript. That is the expected behaviour of it. So I went into Firefox options and made an exception for that site. If I go to the site and wait so it can do its thing, it opens about a few of them, and then Firefox decides that the rule I have set up is garbage, and firefox decides to ignore it and block the pop-ups from the site.

Why?

Why on Earth does Firefox decides that he must do something against the rule that the user has set up. Why does it have this completely disrespect to the user settings?

I am honestly really mad at whoever decided that ignoring an exception from the user was the default behaviour.

Now, if someone knows enough what is going on they will tell me, go to about:config, go to this obscure command and change its value, value which I can't know without coming here and ask. If I create an exception, then I am in my right to expect that the browser should do exactly as the exception has been configured.

By the way I have tried with the troubleshooting mode and still happens.

Hello,

My old PC crashed and I want to transfer my bookmarks from the old hard drive to my new PC running windows 11. I have unlocked hidden files, but when I ran drive:\Users\username\AppData\roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles nothing came up. I then ran places.sqlite and a list of places.sqlite appeared with some files having -wal &-shm after them?

I believe from reading here this is where my bookmarks are?

If so, how do I transfer them to my existing PC hard drive to use please? Many thanks Chris

I have always read downloaded .pdf files in Acrobat. I inadvertently changed the setting to "Open in Firefox" (I got a prompt and clicked it without intending to). How do I get Firefox to abide by my preference setting?

Hi, I know I'm just missing something basic here, but coming from the Chrome world I'm having a tough time with the bookmarks. I am accustomed to seeing all of my bookmark folders when I select the arrows at the end of my bookmarks toolbar. In Firefox I don't see that. I can see those folders under the bookmarks toolbar in the bookmark manager, but I would love to just be able to click on the arrows on the end of the bookmarks toolbar and have them drop down just like they did in Chrome. Do I have it all wrong? Do I always have to have my bookmark manager open to be able to bounce from bookmark to bookmark? Thanks in advance for any help.

Hi guys,

I hope you can help. To bring you up to speed, you can check below past articles for similar problems.

https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1193905 https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/901741 https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/962174?esab=a&as=aaq

This problem has just resurfaced. In a nutshell, when I type "Lost IMDb" or "Tyson Wiki" in the URL bar and hit enter, that would take me straight to that page of that site. So "Lost IMDb" and enter would take me here: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0411008/

Now it takes me to random search results like so: https://www.google.com/search?sourceid=navclient&gfns=1&q=lost+imdb

Similar to "I'm feeling lucky" Google search is what I want back. When FF got rid of "Keyword.URL" search, I had to use an add-on such as: Google Browse by Name search engine to get similar results. Now also that has stopped working lately.

Can anyone help me get that type of search result back please?

Thank you kindly.

I'm on the ESR and just updated from 112.0.2 to 113.0.1. I had text rather than icons displayed on my toolbar. Now the text has vanished and I can't find a way to get text OR icons back. I have a disabled extension Classic Theme Restorer installed, but I thought it was already disabled long ago. In the Customize Toolbar dialog, the unused icons are displayed with text labels. When I drag one to the toolbar, it turns invisible like all the rest.

Hello everyone.

I've been using Firefox for quite a few years now and I'm used to keep my pinned tabs open after closing and then opening a Firefox windows.

Yesterday I noticed that after closing the navigator with the "X" in the tool bar menu, as I usually do, the pinned tabs are not "recovered" when opening again.

This happened randomly without configuration changes involved and drivers/firefox are updated to the last version available.

Moreover, I've tested the same in my notebook and it works just fine, as it keeps the tabs open when a new window is open.

Is there any troubleshooting for this or do you have any idea what could have caused this to happen?

Let me know if you need any additional info. Thanks in advance!

Is there a security setting that allows me to show all my passwords rather than having to toggle them on each time?

I am a recluse. There's never anyone looking over my shoulder. I just don't want to have to mess with it anymore.

If there isn't, could some kind developer please make an add-on?

I am using two computers: an iMac (late 2009) running 10.13.6 (High Sierra) and a Macbook Pro (13-inch, 2012) running 10.15.7 (Catalina).

Thank you!
