Running Firefox ver. 128.0.3 (also happened on ver. 128.0.2) and on various websites, the screen goes black and Firefox is non-responsive/frozen. Able to close and restart Firefox, but lose any work in progress. Becoming more frequent. Other apps that are open continue to work fine. About:crashes returns "No crash reports have been submitted." HP laptop with 2nd screen, running Windows 10 Home ver. 10.0.19045 Build 19045

Every few days I get a dialog box that says an update is available, I can either dismiss or download. There isn't any discernible difference in what happens when I click either button. Dismissing it doesn't matter, Firefox will always auto-update when it feels like it. Clicking the download button doesn't appear to do anything either... until the next day (or days later) when it tells me it needs to restart to complete the update.

Did it really take 24 hours to download the update? Or did the "download" button do nothing and it was actually the auto-update happening the next day?

I'm so so so so so so tired of my browsing session getting knee-capped and losing data. Is there any way for me to tell Firefox "yes, download and install the update, and do it right now" so I can be ready for it? Is there any way to see a progress bar somewhere so I can watch it happen and be ready for the restart?

..Sad to say, I'm writing this in another browser because of this EXTREMELY annoying problem, that's been an unresolved issue for the better part of a year now.. After close to two decades of using Firefox, I'm actually considering moving to something else at this point. It's getting to be remarkably inconvenient using Firefox recently.

Why the hell has Firefox been using such remarkable amounts of system-side HDD for prolonged amounts of time? (Primarily the System.exe process) on a "Very" annoyingly basis?? It's clearly Firefox causing the issue, stimulating the "System" process. It slows down the entire computer in entirety, including just trying to load a basic webpage (such as Google's homepage) for God's sake!

This needs to be fixed, it has been going on for far, far too long now! Even on a very up-to-date PC, it takes 10 or more minutes to get the damn browser to work, while it's killing everything else on said computer due to very, excessively, System HDD usage, without the ability to load a single page, or file, folder and etc...thus ruining the purpose of a 'browser' and the entire computer as well.

The 'System.exe' Overload needs to be fixed. I, and all of my customers are tired of using Firefox because if this. It's pushing people away from what 'use' to be a wonderful browser.

I know factually it isn't a virus issue, or otherwise.

Please, fix this issue before it drives away the majority of your users.

Hi all I like to show the bookmark toolbar in fullscreen mode. I have enabled "show always" but it does not show in fullscreen mode. On old firefox versions i could create a userChrome.css file and then it worked. But it looks like this is not possible with never (130.0.1 ATM) versions. May be the code has changed? This was my "old" css code wich is still working with firefox-esr: /*

Just visited Telstra and bought a new dongle and SIM Card. All worked at the showroom now home can't get access to the internet via my dongle? Blue light went throiugh continuous to blue blinking suggesting its connected but any inetrnet address gets the same result - "You are not connected to the internet?"

Since the last update (was executed today in my case 16-07-2024), firefox has been very slow and freezing and crashing. Also, somehow it is the only browser that can't handle yahoo finance new charts and keeps freezing....so many issues in a short span of time, please check. I have tried other browsers and things seem to work fine there, so, it is not my computer or OS.

Since v128 update my right click menu contains all possible items and doesn't work. For example, right clicking a video and changing playback speed has no effect.

I already tried running troubleshoot mode to no avail. Tried manually add-ons to no avail. I even uninstalled and reinstalled to no avail.

v127 worked fine. Please investigate.

When i try log into office.com for example i get the attached error, i have troubleshot with MS support, they cannot resolve it, the websites works on newly installed browsers, but the two installed browsers, safari and mozilla do not work, cleared cache, history etc and also reinstalled, no luck, please advise re the issue happening on firefox and if you can resolve it we will contact apple for the safari issue

ms believe it is a browser problem which it could be but two browsers stopped working at the same time and only newly installed browsers that have never been on the mahcine work, reinstalled old browsers do not work

Hi, my pc (I think the ssd/os) just quit on me, is there a way for me to build a new system (reformat) onto a new drive and either using the old drive (if accessable) or "the cloud" recover all my old tabs from that pc onto the new one? I had a list of tabs saved, but it hasn't been updated in a couple months (yes, I have a lot and can't remember them all).

I'm hopeing it's as simple as putting the old drive as a secondary drive and copying the "appdata" folder or something to the new pc.

System: windows 7 (yeah, I don't want to give it up) on evga mobo with i7-x990 cpu and maxed out ram. Samsung ssd (2.5"). Most all "personal data" is stored and accessed from my nas, just don't know how to do that for the tab hostory.

Hello, Since the version 128 (x86_64) on Windows 11, SSH links are no more opened with the user. The link tooltip at the bottom of the screen is showing the link without the user too. Ex: ssh://root@10.0.1.1 -> will open ssh://10.0.1.1 instead. Thank you in advance

I had to factory reset my computer and when i re-downloaded Firefox and logged in my bookmarks where no where to be found. I've look through some the the fixes and they don't seem to work is there anyway to recover my bookmarks?

When I tried to start Firefox it started an automatic update - like it has many times before. But I then got an error message referring to 'entry point not found' . I have used Firefox for many years without any problems.
