Running FF115.23.1ESR on a Win7/32 box I use in network maintenance/configuration.

If I log into the modem main page and select from the side-bar menu, FF drops me back to the modem's login screen (Grounghog Day style). This behaviour is repeatable (endlessly) on:

• * another identical modem (same/latest firmware). These have repeatedly been factory reset and firmware reloaded. No change.
• * another Win7 box (/64) on same FF release.

Opera - reluctantly added on those same Win7 boxes - does not have this (mis-)behaviour.

Win10/64 running FF138.0.4 does not have this issue.

Up until about ten weeks back, the (then-current) Win7/X esr release did NOT have this problem.

Yes, I HAVE cleared cache/cookies repeatedly before sessions, to no avail. <><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><> [EDIT:] The on-line modem/router emulator can be accessed at https://support.netcommwireless.com/e.../login.html The default un/pswd is admin/admin. Once in the main page, select "Advanced" from the left menu list. This (in the emulator) opens the Advanced page, as it should. In a normal situation here, it simply reverts to the login page.

Q1: Anyone have any experience like this, or any clues/suggestions?

Q2: To continue using these Win7 boxes in that role, am I forced to abandon FF?

I have noticed that Firefox has been getting too many updates recently...even as much as 2 updates this week alone. Frankly i'm sick of getting the green icons and pop-ups in the upper right corner. Is there a way in about:blank codes to turn off these stealth downloading behaviour and prompt pop-ups to restart the browser and let me just manually do it in settings when i want to but without notifications ?

Using my Outlook a/c in Firefox I have a problem with the slider bar RH side. It is far too thin in width for the mouse pointer to lock onto to slide it up/down. This is NOT the case in Goggle Chrome or MS Edge where it is much wider EVERYTIME & works well. Another example of buggy Firefox, NOT so with Chrome/Edge as 5 IT Depts have told me not to use Firefox for bug reasons. Anyone know how to fix this myself or how to contact Firefox to tell them to fix it.

Hi Just setting up a new Surface Pro/Windows 11 and installed Firefox from Mozilla page. Firefox install completed with a crash report and has never actually run since. Every time I launch I get the app crash window. I've tried running in troubleshooting mode but same app crash. I also note that the crash reports do not get uploaded.

I have uninstalled/re-installed and also tried a fresh install but always the same issue. I also downlaoded the full installer.

Hello, as the title says. The help page is no help as features descibed do not exist. Take a look at the screenshot aswell.

What I did already:

Turned suggestions off. Removed the url from history and bookmarks + "forget about this site". DEL & SHIFT+DEL. Right click. There are no 3 dots to open a context menu. (contrary to what is stated on the help page)

Hi, I use firefox exclusively across all my devices (for obvious reasons) but I find some browser apps don't work on Firefox - in particular Beat Buddy manager online. This requires FilesystemAPI support, which exists in Chrome and Edge, but not in Firefox. Please create a new version of the browser app that supports the ability to use FileSystemAPI on directories, this is essential for working with a BeatBuddy project and SD cards that are saved on my computer using the online editor. Why is this font so small, I have tried everything so much so that I have the about.config on my bookmark tool bar, I have tried the extensions that do not work, zoom makes everything too big, increase the font on my desk top. When I go into the about.config ....To increase the font size in the Firefox address bar, you can modify the layout.css.devPixelsPerPx setting in about:config or edit the userChrome.css file to apply custom CSS rules none of this works. as you can se from the picture the font is SUPER TINY!!! I have changed the setting on my computer for the desktop also and nothing.

A few months ago I made an account on Firefox, synced all my data(passwords), then when I lost my PC I tried to login but couldn't find the recovery key. Now I found it, is there a way to use that recovery key to get back my saved passwords?

I use an iMac and Macbook Pro. Autofill that used to work is no longer working on both of these when I go to USPS.com and sign up for updates on packages. It use to fill in my name on the top line and on the bottom line, it would fill in my email.

What can I do to get this feature back? It stopped working around the beginning of 2025.

My browser (on a second device) is sending me messages that a Trojan has been discovered - will not stop so I uninstalled it. If I download a new browser will the same messages continue? Has this breached the whole of my Mozilla Firefox account?

I am not sure how the architecture works and to clear the other device.

I dislike the Group Tabs feature. So many times I've accidentally created a Group Tab and then had to figure out how to un-group them.

I've tried to change the value of the "browser.tabs.groups.enabled" preference to false, but it doesn't stick; after restarting, the value is always back to "true".

What’s up with this?
