when managing an extension, you describe all the things it can do such as read anything on your computer. But you never say what the consequences might be, such as stealing or selling your info. Why don't you tell the reader what the consequences might be?

Several of my financial accounts give me this error with Firefox. I had to go to Edge to get my tax documents. I'd much rather have a way to get to my sites without leaving Firefox.

I was reading about CSS custom variables at https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/CSS/CSS_cascading_variables/Using_CSS_custom_properties, and noticed that the example at "Using @property to control inheritance" does not work as described in the latest Firefox (115.21.0esr, 64-bit. on Windows laptop).

More specifically, both the parent and child divs come our in green, but the child div is supposed to come out in cornflowerblue.

Although it is not affecting me yet (I haven't decided whether to use this particular CSS feature), I was wondering if the issue was known.

I need to be able to be given options to get to a website - even though mozilla says it has "security" problems - without being subjected to censorship - with myself choosing, not being totally blocked. Unacceptable.

Open my desktop and NordVPN starts up. The Firefox extension frequently shows I an not connected via the VPN whilst Nord says I am. I have in the past clicked on the extension to connect the VPN and this has worked but recently I just get an error. Same thing occurs with NordPass.

This mandatory upgrade completely illustrates the point of why so many never did. Upgrades tend to lose functionality- add-ons, etc, that we're accustomed to and still work quite well with don't function anymore with browser upgrades, and there's no viable replacement available so we stick with what works and find other ways to compensate for any perceived vulnerabilities. Now, like Microsoft, you're forcing consumers to do things they never wanted to and taking away the reasons for using this browser to begin with. Given that we've been able to use older versions for years with no issues, there's no sugarcoating that this is all on you, Mozilla. Calling this course of action disappointing is a gross understatement and nothing more than keeping things polite.

I'm trying to disable the "Warning: Potential Security Risk Ahead" message in Firefox when accessing websites with self-signed or invalid certificates. I understand the security implications, but I'm a cybersec professional where I frequently need to access such sites. Is there a way to permanently disable these warnings?

Until I installed the latest update (136.0.1) I could open Firefox and navigate, never having to log into PW manager until I came to a site where I had to log in and use a saved PW. I have many sites where my login is remembered, and I don't have to log in, so this isn't needed most of the time.

Now EVERY time I open Firefox that request for my primary PW pops up and I have to hit CANCEL twice to clear it before I can to anything. It's an annoying pain in the tush.

How do I turn this off, or set it so that that pops up ONLY when I have to log into a site?

I believe I was just in the process of adding my Gmail account to my Mozilla account. But I did stop and use the restroom in-between initiating this dialogue and it opening, I could have forgotten my reason... Yes, that quickly. Please forgive any inconvenience I may have caused. Oh!!! I do want to use encryption, but I can set "use https only" myself. I remember!!! It was checking if I had the latest version and I'm not sure why I'm in this area of support. I tried to go onto Weatherbell (www.weatherbell.com) and got the Did Not Connect: Potential Security Issue. I had just been on the site 2 hours ago. Why all of a sudden is there a security issue? I cannot contact the website manager there, as I can't get on the site to email them.
