Hi,

I had been using this addon: [https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/fire.../video-speed-control/] and I had no problems with it, until today when I went to increase the speed of a video I was watching, and it wouldn't work no matter what. Clicking to increase the video speed doesn't make the video go faster, as it should.

I uninstalled it and installed many other video speed controller addons, one by one, but none of them work at all either!

The video speed control had been working perfectly well up until now, and I hadn't modified any settings or anything else, that might cause it to stop working.

So how can I get this video speed control addon: [|https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/video-speed-control/] to work for me again? Help! I don't want to switch web browsers.

Thank you very much for your time and help, I really appreciate it!

Problem with printing at reduced scale, did not notice it before a few days ago so could have been after a recent update. Am now using Firefox 90.0 for Linux Mint 19.3. Printing to US Letter size (which had been broken with "na_letter" being stuffed in to the config at one point, but I switched it back to "US Letter" and then it started working again a few months ago - Thank you).

I see some similar questions listed, so this may be simply adding information to something known:

Printing with "Fit to page fit" works fine, with correct preview. Print with scale set to 100% works fine, with correct preview.

Printing with scale set to less than 100% (say 70% or 80%) showed in the preview the page rescaled as expected. The actual printed output is also rescaled as expected, but the page size gets cropped at the right and bottom by what appears to be the same percentage, ending up with lost content. The bit that does print seems to match what is shown in the print preview perfectly, suggesting it would have been totally perfect if the print area had not been cropped along with reducing the text and image sizes.

I tried the "Print using the system dialogue" option, and the printed result had the same pathology.

Same problem also happens when I print to PDF. For this I tried doing the same thing twice, both scaled at 70%, and on comparing found that the preview in firefox had also become cropped a bit but not to the same extent. I did not notice any cropping for the first print to PDF, but now seem unable to get back to what I saw originally in the preview, with correct resizing and no cropping. Playing around some more with printing at 100% vs 70% vs 80% to "fit to page width", I seem to be getting changing crops happening each time in the preview for the reduced sizes.

But the preview and print are both still correct for 100% scaling and for "fit to page width".

Sample web page I used here was https://getpocket.com/explore/item/a-shoulder-workout-for-better-posture?utm_source=pocket-newtab The screen shot shows the preview after the first reduced print to PDF, with no settings changed. The little bit of side cropping seen in the preview did not happen when I did the first print to PDF.

I have an issue where Firefox is cutting off the lower half of each page (blank) when I print with reduced scale. It is an issue that only occurs in Firefox—I have tried another browser. I have tried three printers and it causes the issue on all of them. The issue occurs on all web pages I have tried. I have reset the print settings in Firefox, run Firefox in troubleshooting mode, and refreshed Firefox.

Print preview will show the pages correctly with reduced size, but when printed, the bottom half of each page is blank. However, in print preview, if I change the settings to only print the first page, the preview will then show the first page with the bottom half missing.

I am wondering if this problem is caused by the latest Windows update. That is the last change to the computer I am aware of before this printing problem occurred.

Anything else I can try to resolve this issue?

Hi pals,

It's beginning to annoy me that I have to keep signing into my Firefox account and that I have to adjust setting on the browser, like the language (the default is somehow German and I need it to be in English) and the search engine keeps defaulting back into Google instead of Duckduckgo.

This isn't a normal thing, right?

I've recently switched back to Firefox from Chrome (see: yesterday) and without a break, the above keeps happening which is starting to get to me because I just want to look things up. I've installed the usual Add-ons I had when I was on Chrome like:

  • Dicitionary Anywhere
  • Earth View
  • uBlock Origin

I've read about Disconnect though so that's new for me. So this could be the culprit but other than that, I'm clueless. If anyone has any insight as to what keeps resetting and logging me out, please let me know.

I play cards at cardzmania.com using Firefox. If I exit Firefox and reload it, cardzmania remembers exactly where I was. Formerly, I could stop this by clearing the cache files at c:/users/user_name/AppData/Local/Temp andc:/users/user_name/AppData/Local/Mozilla. This no longer works. Even if I use Privazer to clear temporary Internet files, cardzmania remembers me.

In short, Mozilla is storing user data in a file I can't find and empty.

This disturbs me.

I'm not terribly concerned about cardzmania taking over my computer for nefarious purposes or spying on me, but the inability to find and delete files that permit cardzmania to remember who I am means other programs could do the same.

Hello Community, Upon updating Firefox today, some sites are cutting off the majority of the page and printing in the top-left corner. I've tried the following and none have helped:

Close and reopen Firefox Refresh Firefox Uninstall and reinstall Firefox Restart my computer Print from the system dialog Print from the Firefox dialog Cleared all add-ons Print from a different computer with a different FF account Print to a different printer Print to PDF

I've attached the PDF (after converting to JPG as required by this page) which was printed through Firefox which shows the issue. The same page prints normally in Edge and Chrome. I printed the same page yesterday without issue and when I did the test from another computer with a different FF account, it printed normally, the browser updated and had the problem so it's definitely something with the most recent FF update.

This may seem minor in scope since it only effects certain sites but it's a huge problem for me as I print quite a few pages from this site daily for order processing. Thank you to anyone who can help!

Ever since updating to the most recent version of Firefox, I cannot log into anything related to Google. I can enter my username and password but the "next" or "log in" button or whatever it's called doesn't work at all. The cursor remains as an "arrow" when you hover it over the appropriate button to login and never allows you to click on anything. It's like this regardless if I am logging into YouTube, Google, or Gmail. Other websites could be affected...I don't know. The only way I can access my accounts is to downgrade Firefox to version 90.0.1. Everything seemed to work fine before this last version. I've been using version 90.0.1 for a few days now out of desperation since the most recent version doesn't work. I tried updating just now and even though the update went fine, I still couldn't log in to YouTube or Google.

I just realized too that I cannot access my Microsoft account. When I try to log in, it accepts my credentials but then takes me to the Office 365 Login page as if I never logged in and not to my mailbox. This does not happen on Edge. I don't want to use Edge but between this and the problems with YouTube/Google, I am not seeing many options here.

I'm running Firefox on Windows 10 Pro v1809 64bit.

On a side note: Why does Firefox have to update so much? You guys update this thing and nothing's changed except at times like this when things don't work. That's the only difference I see. I wish you would just stop. Stop having updates every time we turn around---ESPECIALLY if nothing different is happening with the browser. I've used Firefox since it was in a version somewhere in the teens or twenties and honestly, I can't see many differences. This is very much true for the past 20 versions of the browser. I mean... we have 95 primary versions of a browser, not to mention the individual subversions. It's really a hassle.

I just upgraded from FF 89 to FF 90 (on Ubuntu) and the drop down menus (accessed on right-click) are now transparent. I have changed the theme, changed my desktop theme, started FF in troubleshoot mode, disabled acceceration in about:config, and it makes no difference, the menus are still transparent. This makes it difficult to use the browser.

Is this fixable or is it a bug in the latest release?

Hi all,

I am doing this online course and all lectures are online videos using Wistia platform. I have recently installed Linux Mint 20.2 and latest version of Firefox but the videos don't work. Page loads fine except the video where only a large grey box shows with no controls. This was also an issue when I was using Linux Mint 18.xx but at least it worked in Opera which I was also using at that time. Now it doesn't work in either Firefox or Opera. is this perhaps an HTML5 issue? Don't think Wistia are able to offer any support and neither is my course provider. Their response was 'this is weird, works fine on our computers'.

thanks in advance for any assistance

After upgrade to firefox 90, I am not able to login in some pages. I use sso with certificate on these pages and Firefox just show this error message: "Error code: SSL_ERROR_CERTIFICATE_UNKNOWN_ALERT".

I also not able to downgrade back to old version because firefox does not want to open with alert that I use older version.

I use firefox on MacOS Mojave and after upgrade Firefox tried to access to my keychain for certificate, but without success. I do not have set my firefox to use my keychain, so I do not know why it tried to access keychain.

So I have to migrade to chrome :(. I wait for a while if there is solution before I delete firefox.
