I have a typical search bar at the top of the browser window. Recently, as soon as I begin to type a search, the bar expands to cover the whole top of the browser window. How do I stop this from happening? It's unnecessary and irritating. Firefox 133.0, Win 11

I can not edit the domain address in the password save section. I can change user name and pw, but not the domain name/address. This is very annoying for sites like twitter that have now changed to x as it's not straight forward and prohibitive to my own saved information and it not allowing me to alter it in the EDIT section. Thank you for any help you can provide.

in the last couple weeks, every time I go into Firefox my bookmarks and bookmark toolbar are scrambled. (all messed up and out of order). I have to keep restoring from a good save file. How do I stop this from happening? I have even uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox, but that hasn't helped. I have imported the good bookmark file that I saved.

Hi good morning My name is Douglas and I am new to use this service I'm on my windows HP laptop and it asked me to create a Mozilla account as I could created my Mozilla account it accepted everything and then when I needed to change my information that I had already included in and it accepted when I went back to change that it blocked me out of my account I do not know how to get in to I don't know how to unlock my account can you please help me or show me how to unlock my account thank you very much it's greatly appreciated

Sometimes it works for a while ... and then I consistently get the following error message:

Secure Connection Failed

An error occurred during a connection to webmail.centurylink.net. PR_CONNECT_RESET_ERROR

Why and how do I stop this?

I tried to open my Firefox browser, but was unable to. Same thing with my Google chrome browser. I ran the troubleshooter for network problems, but unable to get a solution.

I downloaded a new Firefox browser in the hopes that it would let me access the other browser so I could retrieve all the settings, bookmarks, etc. However, everything disappeared when the new browser was installing.

Is there any way for me to retrieve that information or is it a total loss?

Apparently Firefox did an update (version 136.0.4) in the background while I was using Firefox on March 27. At some point I wanted to save a page to my bookmarks and realized all my bookmarks were missing. I had just used bookmarks earlier, so it had to have been an update. This happened to me before back in January 2025. I was without my bookmarks for several weeks when all of a sudden they showed up again.

I cannot use the instructions to go back to a previous profile, as the two options showing do not have my bookmarks, bookmark toolbar or customized Firefox homepage. I also cannot import my saved bookmarks to get them back. I get an error message when I attempt to do that option.

This is very frustrating, as I use my bookmarks, toolbar and customized homepage EVERY day. I have all my important links saved to bookmarks. Firefox developers need to find out why an update removes bookmarks, as this seems to be an ongoing issue with me. I've used Firefox for over 17+ years and never had bookmarks removed after an update before, so something in an update is causing this issue.

I have no idea at this point IF everything will return to normal in a few weeks like it did back in January. So right now I am without all my bookmarks. Please get this ongoing issue resolved, it's a royal pain. I need those bookmarks to maintain my daily routine for accessing financials, medical websites, etc.

please try and update for me i have tried several times and it keeps failing to update i have closed computer and cleared every thing and have tried several times and nothing seems to work it has asked me to update several times over the last couple of days but nothing is updating and i cannot play any music on Utube or even old music that i have downloaded long ago

i do not have anyone to help me on this i did try help line but i must be doing something wrong because nothing has changed

As of a few days ago (potentially coinciding with the most recent update?) I've had several websites become varying degrees of unresponsive when using Firefox while being connected to a VPN (Nord, in this case).

Some sites will load but then get throttled--i.e. YouTube will load and (usually) populate thumbnails, but clicking on a video will result in the video instantly dropping to its lowest available resolution, playing for a few seconds, and then stalling. Interestingly(?) if I try to watch a live stream, chat will be fully functional but the video will be unable to load. Other sites will load but then very quickly stop responding at all. Others are straight up just not loading period, while many others have no issues at all.

I've cleared my cache, deleted cookies for the affected sites, tried Firefox in a private window, tried Firefox with no extensions, and reinstalled both Nord and Firefox to no avail. All of the affected sites are fully functional so long as I'm not connected to a VPN, and are also fully functional on other browsers, even while connected to a VPN. All other non-browser related applications that require the internet are also unaffected, and my internet speeds in general aren't showing any issues.

I've been unable to find any other chatter about this anywhere, and I unfortunately don't have any other devices available to try and replicate the issues. I would not be surprised if it was one of those wonderful Me Exclusive DNS issues or something, but figured it was worth throwing out there.

Firefox desktop on Linux (Mint). Ctrl-shift-C normally opens the Inspector tool. At a minimum, I want to disable *that* behavior as it is very jarring and annoying to have the Inspector open up when one is expecting to copy some text from the webpage or URL bar. It would be nice to also be able to map that keystroke combination to the expected clipboard-copy.

I use to be able to integrate my excel calendar and my wife's. Entries were different colors and changes on my computer showed up on my Ipad. Now I have my calendar but I can't find hers. Does she need to make a change on her excel as well?

I have came to ask if anyone else has had problems with downloading a mod off of nexusmods.com and if there is a solution I have been having to switch to google chrome which I'd rather not because its so resource intensive on the computer
