after reinstalling the OS, Firefox stopped synchronizing most of the data. Bookmarks were not transferred, and passwords and extensions were transferred less than half

The subject says it all. The "tabs from other devices" are a) Shown as a long flat list of links, not in their individual tabs, which is disappointing b) right click does nothing - doesn't open them as advertised

I had a previous account with firefox on a different computer and attempted to login on a new one, but once i logged in none of my passwords or data transferred even though it was the same account, just curious if there’s any way i can get my info onto my new computer besides using a sync key or manually importing it

Firefox updated to the latest version and it lost everything. All my saved passwords are gone, all my bookmarks, data, etc. It said I could sign in with my account and it would sync them and bring them all over, it didn't. I can't use the original profile because it says it's outdated, I don't even know if it's the correct profile anyway. What am I supposed to do?

Hi, I created mozilla account and turned on synchronization to save my passwords, history, etc. After I done it, I formatted my pc. Now I've just downloaded mozilla and log in to my account to see that NONE of my data were saved... How is it even possible? I turned synchronization on and then selected which data I want to save. Will you be able to help my with that?

Dzień dobry, po zmianie urzadzenia (PC) pomimo tego ze na starym urzadzeniu zawsze byłem zalogowany do Firefoxa (synchronizacja byla automatyczna), to na nowym urządzeniu po zalogowaniu nie mam dostepu do wczesniej zapisanch zakladek oraz haseł. Prosze o pomoc, pozdrawim D.

My bookmarks on my laptop has lost 90% of my bookmarks. I try to sync with my PC but nothing happens and the laptop remains the same. I've tried closing the browser and logout and login again but nothing changes. I've turn of the laptop and turning on still nothing. How can I be log in and see a different layout, it doesn't make any sense. The only thing I have change on this laptop is down loaded a new version of CClean. Which I have already done the day before on my PC. I've attached a copy of both screens 743 is from my PC and the other 534 is from my laptop.

I recently reset my laptop, when I logged into my mozilla account on my firefox, it is hasn't synced my passwords, hisotry, bookmarks and extensions. The sync is on, I've eevn tried to manually initiate sync. Did not work.

Firefox crashes. Blue dots moving next to too tabs. Problem began this morning upon opening Firefox and dialogs box asked if wanted to sync bookmarks with another device with Firefox.

i had to restore windows 10 (some things weren't working at all after some maintenance) i performed the restore with the option to keep the files i then installed firefox logged into my google account via gmail page then in firefox itself to restore bookmarks and everything else (same google account)(i had to reset the password via google account) now i dont get all the things saved/synced: no bookmarks, no passwords, extensions, etc. please help

All my saved passwords are missing. I am synced and logged into an Android phone. I usually use an iphone but have not checked syncing there yet, or on a computer/laptop.

Since ages ago I've always logged into Firefox and turned on sync so whichever device I was on (or if I have formatted my PC) I would still have acces to my browser history, tabs etc. Today I've formatted my PC to switch from win 10 to win 11 and logged into firefox as usual, but after trying to Sync nothing happens. My tabs, my history, everything is empty for some reason and I cannot find my original device (the one from a few hours ago connected in win 10) in my connected devices list either.

Please help me, my whole life is in that sync :(

Everything is gone, I have had to reinstall windows 4 times in the last week with a new PC and now all my sync data is gone...Chrome remembers everything fine and Mozilla did remember everything until this install and now its not syncing anything.

If this stuff is gone so am I.

Have tried logging in with my google account, tried logging in with Moz account, tried sync button over and over tried restarting, tried uninstalling and reinstalling and manually deleting all the folders STILL NO SYNC DATA AT ALL.......

Hello, I am transferring to a new device but my device is not syncing and just loading even when I tried to close and open Firefox. I've tried to also log this in via support but to no avail. Appreciate any help on this. Thank you!

Hello, when I first switched from google chrome to Firefox I could not figure out how to create one browser with two profiles like I had with chrome. So I went to about:profiles and created two separate browsers not realizing you all had an option to create two profiles under one browser. I finally figured out how to have to profiles under one browser by going here https://www.tech2geek.net/how-to-use-the-new-updated-profile-manager-in-firefox-2025/#google_vignette but I can not figure out how to sync the google chrome profile that I had previously to this new profile under the same browser. How do I sync this? I hit sync and nothing changed. I am signed in and I can not figure out how to get the browser profile to sync with this new profile under one browser. I really hate how Firefox named both of these Profiles because it is extremely hard to explain this situation.

i recently had to get a new computer and had set up sync for everything however when i logged in to my new device none of my synced data was saved is there any way to get this data back i have passwords that i need that firefox forced me to use a secure generated and saved ones that i dont know

I have just completed migrating my files and settings from my (not so) old windows 10 desktop computer to my windows 11 laptop. Everything seems to have gone ok, except that the Firefox bookmarks were installed and only work in the private browsing window. When I start Firefox normally, the window that opens does not have the bookmarks, and even if I enter a web address manually in this window, it will not connect. I can choose "New window" in the drop down menu and that window will have the bookmarks, but still will not connect. The only way to get the bookmarks and also be able to connect to the internet is to choose "New private window" from the drop down menu. The problem with that is that there have been occasions when I have had a need to examine my browsing history, which I can't do since Firefox doesn't save the history when in private window mode. I have tried the procedure to sync bookmarks, history, etc., but the procedure is somewhat confusing and didn't work for me. Can you simplify the procedure for me? Thanks, John Blakley

I reinstalled Windows and downloaded the browser again. I logged into my account, turned on synchronization, but none of the data was synced. I am absolutely sure that synchronization was enabled on my old browser. I tried turning it off and on again, but nothing helps. Please help me get my data back!
