I am finding more and more sites that I regularly go to are no longer working on firefox. One site was because HTML5 apparently does not work on firefox. But others I don't know about why are no longer working on firefox. I thought it might be streaming related but just today I could not access one of my banks on firefox, and I tried many times, but had no problem signing on using Chrome.

I opened Tbird to see what version the new Ubu 24.04 installed (115.12.0, which I discovered wouldn't be published, so I downloaded v.r.2. In this set of FF (127.0.1) pages now, the mouse wheel will not scroll. It works everywhere else in my installation (24.04).

Ideas?

FF settings have "smooth scrolling" checked; unchecked it did nothing to improve. mouse is a ~recent Logitech (M317c) which as noted, works in all other apps.

I've been experiencing a problem in Firefox where, when I scroll, the incoming part of the page momentarily goes blank and then loads to normal. This issue becomes more pronounced on pages with a lot of elements. Also, this issue becomes more vivid in smaller screens compared to larger ones. It feels like the browser is taking time to paint the part of the page.

This issue only occurs in Firefox. I have tried this in Chrome and Safari.

Here's what I have already tried:

• Disabled hardware acceleration and WebGL.
• Disabled smooth scroll and auto-scroll.
• Opened Firefox in safe mode (troubleshoot mode).
• Confirmed that I have no extensions or add-ons installed.
• Reset Firefox.

Despite these attempts, the issue persists. This problem is affecting the usability of the website. How can I resolve this scrolling issue? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

When im starting my computer, suddenly this program with old firefox logo auto starting on windows taskbar, i cant open(maximize) it....when i hover to that old firefox logo, it just shows random text......

If i'm opening task manager, that program or something is in C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\AlphaPress under the name update.exe.....i alrd close that program, delete that, and running malwarebytes, but didnt find any threat.....If u can reassure me that it wasnt dangerous malware or anything....maybe some real firefox update?

Even when i set it on start from where i left off, after closing my Mozilla desktop application my all tabs get reset which have been quite problematic for me.

In regards for this, please solve this problem as soon as possible as it keeps hindering with my work

I have a desktop computer. I use Firefox as my browser. I've been playing the Marapets game for years. As of 2 days ago, I can't "buy" items in the Marapets.com game site. I can play the rest of the game, but cannot buy items. If I go to Chrome, I can buy items. I am told the BUY button is linked to CAPTCHA, but I don't know what that means. Would you be able to help me so I can continue to use Firefox for this game?

As a longtime user of Firefox, I had a nice setup where after the start page, clicking on the Firefox icon would take me to a page headed "Firefox" in large letters. On that page I had placed the icons for my frequently used programs. Each of the small "icon boxes" had menus that would allow entering a URL so that when clicked, the desired app would open. I was exploring MS Bing, mostly because I like the pictures they put up each day. It looks as though a "new Improved" version of Bing brings along the new MS AI component. Together they seem to have removed my Firefox setup or hidden it where I can't retrieve it. By using Firefox settings, I was able to remove the Bing URL. Good riddance!, but can I retrieve my page of links to most-used programs? I don't know where to look for that. If I have to reconstruct it, how is that done. Or how can I start a replacement. I have in my laptop a external webcam a Logitech Webcam C930e. The webcam is a HD webcam with 1080p. But in Google Meet in Firefox I can only configure it at 720p but in Chrome I can configure it at 1080p. Why have that behavior?

I enter my username & password and nothing happens. This occurs when I use Dashlane AND also if I enter username & password manually.

I can access my account successfully using Edge.

I really appreciate everything you do, but I am a boomer (Loud and Proud), I did not get born with a device attached to my hand, I am a digital imbecile.

With all that in mind, it has become too difficult to keep up with the digitalisation, at least in my case. So when you send me suggestions and update procedures I end up just closing everything, too much to read, too stressing, but the suggestions keep coming every time I open the firefox browser. Can I not just keep the version I have and decline any new versions.

I also have a problem in regard to language, it is set to English, but I do not care for US English, I would like to have GB English, but somehow it won't accept that.

What can I do?

In seeking a way to reduce the CPU & RAM usage, I read that perhaps turning on the Hardware Acceleration might help. And to do that, you must first de-select the default setting which says FF will use the best settings for my computer. Well, when I opened that section, neither one was checked! So, should I first try the default setting, and if that doesn't help, then try HA? I'd always heard not to use HA, for some reason, but I'm ready for trying anything that might help use less resources, and open webpages more consistently.

Which is the best setting to use, or neither one?

So, this is going to be an incredibly weird question, but is anyone else having this issue? As of about two days ago, any time I try and load a video on youtube it will refuse to load for upwards of 30 seconds, however if I toggle the new stable volume option off/on it instantly loads. It will then play for about 2-3 minutes or more depending on video length (sometimes way more) before the buffer bar will stop entirely, take over two minutes to load the video again, then keep playing. More often than not doing this multiple times per singular video. Often times it won't even load anymore at all and I am forced to refresh the page and toggle the stable volume once again.

I've tried disabling every single extension I have, including ad blockers, restarting the entire browser, and using a different account, and it still happens no matter what. However it is not an issue that occurs on chrome or edge, so I'm at a complete loss of what is causing this. Looking up this issue comes up with next to no results, so is it possible this is a youtube issue or is something seriously wrong with my browser and I need to re-install it?

how are shortcuts created on my "new tab" home page in firefox browser. I used to be able to create the shortcuts I wanted, not random shortcuts that I might have visited once. Now shortcuts appear that I don't want. I know I can remove them by dismissing them but I should not get them in the first place. Please help.

I've been using Firefox since the very beginning, and try to contribute to support it and Thunderbird when I can. But today, in order to get messages from my health care provider at Kaiser Permanente -- kp.org -- and get a document I needed for physical therapy, I had to sign in via Microsoft Edge in order to log in to my member account. On my Windows 11 Pro computer, I kept getting the message shown in the attached screenshot = "this page isn't redirecting properly".

I WAS able to sign in to kp.org from my mobile phone, but couldn't download the document from there. But at least I was able to send an message to my doctor asking them to send me the document via snail-mail.

At first I thought the problem was the Kaiser web site (which admittedly is pretty gawdawful). Didn't have time to pursue it last week, because I was attending an all-day class Mon-Fri. Finally today, when I got the same Firefox error message, I tried to access kp.org via Microsoft Edge. Sure enough, it worked.

Then I searched Mozilla support, and found a closed message thread indicating that the problem had theoretically been "solved" by some sort of programming fix as of June 12th or thereabouts.

I do NOT want to switch to a browser maintained by Monopolists'R'Us. I still bear a grudge because about 30 years ago they killed or marginalized two of my favorite programs (Lotus and WordPerfect) by giving away Excel and Word for free with Windows. Even if I LIKED Microsoft, the default user interface is cluttered with too many cutesy-poo widgets and AS (artificial stupidity) "help" that I do not want. But I'm an old lady (84), and if I need to communicate with my health care providers, I will have to use whatever method works, no matter how much it galls me.

Hope you guys can find a fix to this problem that works for EVERYBODY (including me). Thanks for your attention.

Did FireFox just officially do an Enhancer for YouTube...I got this on my Firefox screen. List 'what's new' and asks for donation...don't mind donating but is this a scam message or is it from FireFox?

Is there a way to set a separate theme for the private browsing option? I like being able to visually distinguish between the normal browser and the private one, but enabling a theme seems to set the same visuals for both.

If separate themes are not a thing, perhaps they could be added in a later update?

wise.com is a site I've used for a long time with Firefox. Now I can't log in. Access is still available from the Chrome browser, but I prefer Firefox
