I am facing a recurring issue while browsing websites on Firefox. This happened even before the latest upgrade. Only it is worse after this last software upgrade.

After using the browser for 1–2 minutes, the browser gets stuck or becomes unresponsive. While scrolling through websites, the full page does not load properly, and parts of the webpage suddenly become blank. In many cases, the existing tab cannot even be refreshed. I have to close the program, wait a few minutes and reopen. Very frustrating. I have been using Firefox for many years and this is the most unstable I have ever seen it. My cursor doesn't show an 'image preview' anymore when I hover over a tab even though I still have it checked in my settings. It always did until a few days ago, but now it doesn't & I haven't changed anything.

When I watch Downton Abbey on PBS from outside the U.S, using the Firefox VPN in a Private Window the Closed Captions of the PBS video are displayed TWICE: one above the timeline and the other above it.

This issue is specific to this particular show AND to the Firefox browser.

When I start an email using the FF browser I'll type the address correctly but the text on the screen is gibberish. See attached photo. When I move the cursor to the subject line, the gibberish turns to plain text.

I can't copy it so I took a photo and attached it. I deleted Firefox and then reinstalled it. This did not fix the problem.

How do I fix this problem?

Das VPN lässt sich in der neusten Version optisch zwar aktivieren, scheint aber nicht zu funktionieren. Die 50GB bleiben ständig erhalten und reduzieren sich nicht , trotz durch Test´s mit erhöhtem Datenvolumen. Auch erreichen mich bei aktivierten VPN wieder vermehrt SPAM und Ähnliches.

As I run my hand up the lid of my lap top, I OFTEN hit the "X" on the browser and the PAGE CLOSES! I am so frustrated because all my tabs close and I see no way to get them all back open. WHY NOT? I know how to use "HISTORY" and under thT i USED TO BE ABLE TO TAP "RECOVER ALL TABS" i DON'T KNOW WHAT BROWSER that was... And if you had that option, I don't know what happened to it.

My Firefox program was recently re-installed by Dell. But it seems to be an older version and among other things I can't find my bookmark toolbar. So I'm hoping that updating Firefox will solver this problem.

While using Mozilla Firefox on Windows 11, the search function within a ChatGPT conversation sometimes fails to detect text that is clearly present. When I search for a phrase that was previously discussed, I often receive a pop-up sound and a message stating “phrase not found,” even though I can manually locate the same phrase by scrolling through the conversation. This appears to be an issue with how in-page search is functioning in this context.

I sell on vinted, which generates a PDF label to print. Some of the courier sites add a lot of nonsense text to their labels, which I cover up with a white box to save ink. These edited PDFs used to then print just the label without the nonsense text, but since a recent Firefox update they have started printing an empty page instead. Saving the edited PDF and then opening it again in Firefox does not work. The edited labels still print okay in Microsoft Edge.

In Firefox, a lot of my pages are not loading at all...the tab just shows that the website page is loading but it never does. The menus of the website will appear, but pages are not loading. This is not happening in MS Edge. I prefer Firefox, but lately have had to go to MS Edge to load pages. What could be happening?

Since Thursday (new update rolled out Wednesday) I have lost all of my open tabs in one window.

Previously, when opening up Firefox, it would reopen my previous window with all tabs.

However now, even with the setting ticked in General (Startup --> Open Previous Windows & Tabs), it no longer does this. I have to go to Menu in the top right, History, recently closed windows, then guess at which window I should reopen.

Will this be fixed in the next update?

Unable to upload any images to Gemini. Working fine on all other browsers. Images always fail unless security levels set at lowest. When the do upload the action button does not become active

Re: Very Transient Search Specifications

Having disabled AI search capabilities satisfactorily, I am now plagued with re-establishing search specifications innumerable times a session. I open a tab. I set my safe search requirements followed by several items under “All Search Settings,” then save and Exit. I open a new tab and repeat all the steps. I back up out of that search list, not backing up past the window with the saved settings to find they are nevertheless reset back to default, necessitating that I repeat all the steps. I leave this window of Firefox open but minimized and open a new Firefox window and repeat all the steps.

Of what use is saving the settings? They don’t persist within tabs, across tabs, or across windows. These inconveniences began with the introduction of AI services to Firefox. Yes, I delete cookies and set other parameters in the name of privacy, but not with the expectation that saving search settings during a session will prove meaningless. Please let me know and understand how to have both privacy and utility.

When I fill in IRS Direct Pay it does not accept dashes in my social security number but something in my laptop inserts them. I don't know how to eliminate that. I also don't know where to correct a mistake in auto fill in my e-mail address.

i used firefox version 144 or 148 and it frequently become whitescreen "but when i put or move my cursor hover, it becomes reload the page again. but it's annoying error bugs

It has happened recently that when I clicked on something Firefox takes me to a different window opens in a new tab and I had to go back to the tab that I was on for that click. Is this something new that Firefox does to generate ad revenue?
