I'm reposting a question already opened here because a moderator suggested to do so. Actually I though I was posting to the international forum from the URL...

I was trying to access a local HTTPS website of an embedded device (a Siemens S7-1500 PLC) that is using a self-signed certificate, but was unable to go on (attached image #1, in Italian language) due to the the SEC_ERROR_REUSED_ISSUER_AND_SERIAL error. I've browsed a similar PLC webserver in the past, so the fact that the device exposes a similar certificate serial number is not so strange for me, considering also it's self-signed.

The problem is that I cannot follow the instructions of the Mozilla knowledgebase here because I'm not able to identify the correct certificate of the website!

In the attached image #2 you can see that the connection is detected as not encrypted, I suppose because only the form part of the HTML that is posting the data using HTTPS while the rest is using HTTP, but I'm not sure. If I click on the padlock icon (attached image #3) the info about the current certificate is not displayed.

Then I went into Tools > Options and searched for "certificates"; as you can see in the attached images #4 and #5, neither in the Servers tab nor in the Authorities tab I can find any item that is related to 192.168.10.2 (the webserver IP address) or Siemens (the embedded device manufacturer). But unfortunately the error persist! Initially there was a 192.168.10.2:443 line in the Servers tab and I removed it and restarted Firefox, but it didn't solve, so at the moment the situation is the one depicted by the attachments.

I had to use Microsoft Edge to access the website, but I would like to solve this issue and use Firefox instead. Is there anything else I can do to bypass the error? Why doesn't the error page provide a way to correctly identify the wrong certificate using its fingerprint and/or name? Or, maybe, is there a way to disable this check for local IP addresses or for items in a whitelist?

Hi, I am experiencing an issue with accessing my Amazon orders and returns when using Mozilla Firefox. While I can navigate to Amazon.com without any problems, I am now prompted to sign in to my Amazon account whenever I attempt to view my orders or returns. This pop-up indicates that it is a Firefox security issue rather than a Windows problem. This situation has only started occurring recently, and I would appreciate any assistance in resolving this matter. My Firefox version is 150.03. Thank you for your help.

I have just started getting Virus/Trogan messages from McAfee when brousing with Firefox. I have not installed McAfee so is this a blackmailing/SCAM by McAfee to get me to pay?. I only get these messages when using Firefox, It seems to be somthing that's got into Firefox! I don't, at the moment, have this annoyance on my Laptop.

Firefoxa używam od lat ale ostatnio strasznie mnie wkur....bo kilka aktualizacji zepsuło ten program, co aktualizacja to gorzej z wyszukiwaniem i pobieraniem np. zdjęć, nie raz nie da się odświeżyć strony, nawet wyczyszczenie historii nie pozwala na nowo wczytać strony zapisanie kolejnego zdjęcia o tej samej nazwie nie pozwala wpisać np; image 1, 2, 3 itp wklejając np: image okno jest nie aktywne by wpisać 1,2, 3, itp; trzeba czekać aż Firefox się namyśli i pozwoli dokończyć wpisywanie, szlag trafia człowieka przy takim działaniu. te wasze aktualizacje gdyby rozwiązywały problemy nie byłoby tyle poprawek Np 150.01, 150.02, 150.03 myślę, że następna aktualizacja 151 będzie bez błędów i wyeliminuje obecne bo inaczej będę musiał zmienić przeglądarkę. I jeszcze jedno wyszukując zdjęcia są one zamazywane i wielokrotnie pojawia się informacja że zmieniliście mi ustawienia przeglądarki (włączony filtr) wyłączam go ale nie ma opcji zapisania ustawień i za jakiś czas sytuacja się powtarza, zróbcie coś z tym i nie decydujcie za mnie co mam włączone a co nie. Tak samo jest z motywami niektórych nie da się usunąć a zaśmiecają kompa. Jurek

Is days of Yore, we users were asked to tell if a site did not work with Firefox. Now I had to find this forum :-(

I'd like to understand what makes Firefox incapable of playing the film featuring my father from the sixties, two 2 years before he died. For me it is not a real problem, because Chrome waits always in the background to take over. I'd just prefer to let it wait for eternity.

Description: For the past few versions, Firefox has lost the ability to upload folders via drag-and-drop into Synology File Station.

The Issue: Dragging a folder into the File Station interface used to work, but now it is no longer recognized or fails to parse the directory structure.

Comparison: This feature continues to work perfectly in Chrome, suggesting a recent regression in Firefox's handling of webkitGetAsEntry or related directory APIs.

I don't like the idea of multiple users having access to my phone , and as far a meta apps like FB and messenger there like wormhole virisus that open external page after external page while navigating there apps causing a multi tab over load on my browser not toention my battery drainage

Hi, I recently had to reinstall windows and I lost access to my Firefox bookmarks. I did not manually export my bookmarks before reinstalling and now i couldn't find them in my current Firefox setup. Is there any way to recover my old bookmarks or restore my previous Firefox profile date? can you please guide me on what can I do to retrieve them if possible? thank you.

I am reporting a performance issue specifically related to Google Search's AI features (AI Overviews) in Firefox 149.0.2 on macOS.

The Issue: When an AI-generated summary appears in Google Search results, GPU usage spikes significantly, reaching up to 212%. This causes the laptop to overheat and triggers high fan speeds.

Critical Comparison:

Firefox 149.0.2: Extreme GPU load and performance degradation when rendering Google AI elements.

Google Chrome 147.0.7727.56: Works perfectly with normal GPU usage under the same conditions.

Tested on two different MacBooks: MacBook Pro (A1502), 16GB RAM, i7 (2015) — OS: macOS Monterey. MacBook Pro (MMQX3), 64GB RAM, M1 Max (2021) — OS: macOS Sequoia (15.x/Tahoe).

It was nice when FF was simple to use....unimcumbered with all the options...like the latest...profiles.

Why? It's getting to be as complicated as E and C..you don't need all those options - that's why I use FF.

Get rid, or allow the user, to pick and choose, and dump the unwanted stuff from cluttering the tool bar and other options. Just a suggestion that can be made to FF any longer. Use to be they'd welcome feedback.

I am getting the message "updates are disabled by the admin." I am the only one here so I don't know how that happened. I need to install Slack but need to update first. I followed the steps to edit registry but still can't update. Please advise.
