I noticed occasionally that an odd entry might come up every now and again in the address bar auto-complete, and they always had a little blue star. Turns out that's the "bookmarks" autocomplete option. Once I located one of them, I searched through my bookmarks to try to delete it, but it is not there. I actually went through and deleted all of my bookmarks in Firefox save two, and lo and behold there are still dozens, possibly hundreds, of "bookmarked" suggestions in the autocomplete bar. For instance, woot.com; I used to have it bookmarked, but since I haven't used it in months, I deleted it. Yet when I click on "bookmarks" in the address bar search, woot.com shows up among a dozen other entries which are clearly not in my bookmarks.

I checked my other browsers and cleared their bookmarks as well, although none of them had woot.com bookmarked as far as I can tell. I deleted browsing history older than 6 months and searched through both my bookmarks and history, finding no entries for this. I went to the Options menu, Privacy and Security, and Address Bar, and disabled "Bookmarks", and found that doing so DOES in fact prevent these supposed bookmarks from being suggested in the address bar when typing.

I'd like to be able to remove these old, outdated suggestions from my address bar while still leaving the bookmarked page search function working. Where is Firefox pulling these old bookmarks from? How can I delete them?

Firefox: latest (86.0 at the moment of posting this question) OS: Ubuntu 18.04.5

Problem: Firefox always reports time (to sites) in UTC (my correct timezone is UTC+7). That refers to site like everytimezone.com.

At the same time, Google Chrome on the same system reports correct time.

System clocks are synced to external time servers, time drift is negligible (if any).

How can one make Firefox report correct time (preferably without any extensions)?

Hi. Is there an option to prevent closing Firefox losing all my pinned tabs if I close Firefox windows in the wrong order?

I'd like to use pinned tabs is to keep tabs and their scroll positions across sessions, but I lose mine continuously simply because I accidentally close my FF windows in wrong order (original window not last - very easy to do!).

Thanks, Tim

hi, I am using telerik reporting for reporting purposes on in my angular project. I have created two reports, one of them is in portrait mode and other is in landscape mode. Now , when I press print button , and print preview opens up, it is defaulted to portrait mode even if the report that I am printing is designed in landscape mode.

It can be seen in the following pictures. https://user-media-prod-cdn.itsre-sumo.mozilla.net/uploads/images/2021-03-01-07-48-32-b4df57.png https://user-media-prod-cdn.itsre-sumo.mozilla.net/uploads/images/2021-03-01-07-50-12-54a6d9.png

This might create confusion for the users. This is not desirable.

Is there a way to make it so that the print preview opens in the orientation in which my report is designed.

Note: It is working perfectly in google chrome.

I am older and use the zoom function on many web pages. After this last update the Zoom function seems to be broken. I Zoom to 133% for a more comfortable read on a news site (Guardian)... go into the article and have to zoom again. Go back to the home page and it is fine until it finishes reloading and it snaps back to original size. Have to zoom again. None of these zoom setting remain consistantly. This has only become an issue since I restarted Firefox to install the last update.

When I visit "elofootball.com" with Firefox, "Atlético" is shown as "Atltico". When the page is not yet completely loaded Atlético is shown correctly for a brief moment (first screenshot without country flags). After the flags are displayed "Atlético" becomes "Atltico" (second screenshot with country flags). So it doesn't seem like the characters themselves aren't supported by the browser because Firefox can display them, just not once the flags are displayed as well.

Edge and Chrome do not have this problem, they just show the page like you'd expect without the in the place of characters with accents. Any idea what might be causing this and can it be fixed?

This past weekend, it appeared that firefox's servers crashed. I patiently waited for it to come back up. Tried to use it the next day and it's just not working correctly. It will open up to the default firefox page (not my home page), but that's about it. I can't get to other websites, it just won't go. I've tried reinstalling and nothing has worked. Please help. Trying to maneuver to other things w/in that page is like molasses.

Bonjour,

I am experiencing a problem with drop down menus, on all websites, when using firefox. I had to post this question using the Edge browser, because the mandatory "Which topic best describes your question?" requires opening a drop down menu, which I cannot do with firefox. It has been this way for quite some time now, so I don't use firefox that much anymore. I always keep firefox updated, and I have tried disabling all plugins/addons to see if they were causing the problem. No luck.

Any ideas on how to solve this would be most welcome.

I have had Firefox downloaded for a considerable amount of time and had begun to use it as my daily browser, until I started experiencing issues, concerning the loading. I have experienced this issue in all cases when trying to open the browser through the desktop shortcut, other icons, and even the .exe file, and typically I will see a brief white screen of Firefox before it immediately closes again. Frustrating to say the least and a quick google provides no insight. I have attempted on multiple occasions to uninstall and reinstall, however to no avail, and have even tried to create a new profile, via the Run (Firefox.exe -P) but again with no success. Running the browser in Safe Mode (Shift) will also work for a split second with the dialogue opening and then instantly shutting. Any suggestion on a potential fix would be great.
